what about spoons? i know many people who habitually use one to eat... (spoons that is - not guns if you're still confused) Now you are being silly.... see my post before I wrote to you. You know the point is valid and you know noone is directly saying a spoon is a gun but the point being made is very valid. I like that one. Spoons are for eating. Guns are for shooting. take away all the spoons, people will still eat. take away all the guns, people will still.....shoot? people will still...... kill! If you don't like the spoon comparison which is a valid one how about a knife. How many murders are comitted using a knife as the TOOL? Did the knife do it or did a person do it? Are we to band all knives? Rest assured if a person wants to kill someone either methodically or in the heat of passion a knife can do the trick just as well and most likely that person who is responsible for the murder (not the object he/she uses in the act) will pull it off with or without a gun. Come to think of it there are a lot of things around my house that are every day items that are used in murders all of the time. Nobody here is trying to say a spoon is comparable to a gun but they are saying blaming the gun is as crazy as comparing a gun to a spoon. Senators turn back ID requirement for immigrant healthcare

But Democratic Sen. Jeff Bingaman, who represents the border state of New Mexico, said that the type of fraud Grassley said he wants to prevent is highly uncommon. "The way I see the amendment, it's a solution without a problem," Bingaman said. This statement is just dumb! No ID = loopholes to be exploited. Why would anyone oppose this? So that actually shows a "floaty" person out first is not a bad thing.... I think I did it right. John Kallend.... thanks again for yet another cool teaching tool. Mark.... I get it but we would not be doing one pass at my DZ ... tandems always get their own pass. Point taken though but in thinking it through.... if I were a TI (Not one nor ever will be one) I think I would still want him out first. In theory you are creating both vertical and horizontal seperation from him along with opening higher. I know things go wrong but still.... ya I would want him out first even if he is "floaty" Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. I do not disagree with you but I know one thing..... I will not get out after a tandem unless I have a wingsuit on or I am doing a CRW jump and because I don't do either.... my ass is out of the plane first. Also I think it is important the OP knows that it is okay to question. JMHO As for the tandem incident.... not a TI so Normiss you are right I have no freakin clue so I'm sayin nothing about all that stuff... just glad nobody went in. I just do what i'm told. The DZO and tandem instructor told me to exit after, so thats what I did. I'm way too inexperienced to question what the DZO and instructors tell me to do. I was nowhere near them in the air though, I waited at least ten seconds, and the plane did a sort of right angle turn before i exited because the spot was long. This is your official notice that you can question what a DZO tells you! It's your ass and others in the air not a DZO's and as far as the exit order goes you should have been out the door first even with a 182. Not yelling at you but really think about this and I would suggest you exit before from here on out and don't be scared to question. Thanks Terry..... my Vector has them on the legs and I have not had any problems but I do appreciate the insight as I had not heard of that possibility before. I appreciate the effort in explaining it to me in detail!

Translation: "You're an idiot to continue skydiving with dangerous stuff like this happening, and I'm much smarter than you for keeping my feet on the ground! ....whenever there is a fatality or injury in skydiving all of my whuffo friends feel the need to email me some garbage news story with all the facts wrong? It certainly isn't data. I certainly wouldn't consider mises.org an unbiased, credible source. Ignoring that for a moment, the linked article lacks data to support its author's assertions. Thus far, the data suggests the CRA has been beneficial, despite the rhetoric stating otherwise. Once again, I'll ask: What specific criticisms do you have with the data from the fifteen largest US metropolitan areas? Why do you feel it is slanted? Again.... it's called logic and I really am done with this... I have explained to you why citing what you are in not an accurate way to look at the negative impact CRA had on this whole mess. Again.... I am not saying it caused the whole mess I am saying it is part of the problem. Again.... If you cannot understand simple logic and concede this to be true..... that is your problem Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. What I am telling you is not an anecdote. As for data you are using slanted data.... I really am done with this bc you are hell bent on believeing that CRA is wonderful and caused no problems. Logic simply is escaping you right now. Here you go anyway http://mises.org/story/2963 yes this is where you are gonna say my source is crap...... Again... bye bye logic Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Did you even read everything or just the first few sentences? "A" paper lenders were hurt badly by CRA.... yes they still had less foreclosures than subprime lenders who did not touch CRA (traditional lenders typically do) that is because they are largly A paper lenders not because they do CRA. What keep there foreclosures lower is the rest of the portfolio..... what do you not understand about this???? Is it that difficult???? You are using a blaket statement that proves NOTHING. Those same A paper lenders had some of their highest foreclosure rates and guess what..... most came from the CRA portfolio. Ever heard of US Bank, Wells Fargo, Chase, etc..... they are going to make it because they stick to A paper but they are also big CRA lenders which is why........ they got hit. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Muff Brother #4382 Dudeist Skydiver #000 www.fundraiseadventure.com

Like I said, items 2 & 8. It may be politically expedient to blame the CRA, but the data do not support your conclusion. Ignore the data all you like; it won't change the fact that non-CRA banks had a substantially higher foreclosure rate than CRA banks. If you have data to the contrary, feel free to provide it for us. I cannot post internal documents. I can tell you our CRA book which is quite big was 4x more likely to foreclose than any of our other loans. CRA hit my former company harder than our ALT paper loans... much harder. Again, it is not the primary nor the only cause. It amazes me you cannot at least see this..... Subprime, Cra, or any other loans that go outside a solid risk model are bad for the entity giving the money. You will never fully understand bc it is not what you do just as I will never fully understand everything you do. It is simple logic that when you give someone something for no money down with a horrible track record and a very slim chance to be able to afford the loan its going to be bad. Also when it comes to your numbers you do not even see that many of the CRA lenders didn't touch any subprime and largly did A paper loans so in comparison to those who did no CRA but did subprime, or alt loans of course their portfolio will look worse but that is not because they are CRA lenders or are tighter its because 80% or more of their loans are A paper in vanilla guidelines. Like I said look at the stats all you want but there are many unseen factors involved in them. Simply saying CRA lenders had less foreclosures than non CRA lenders is a blanket stat that does not even take in to account the why. Edit: CRA is what hit the A paper lenders and hurt them the most even if they have less foreclosures. Translation: -------------- Me, and everyone that agrees with me are competent. All the people that disagree are idiots and incapable of making the correct decisions for themselves. I know what everyones best interests are, and I'm better at making those decisions for them than they are. I'm unwilling to listen to any contrary beliefs because their opinions are different than my own, and therefore they must be of the aforementioned idiots whom are incapable of rational thought.
