  1. Yes, in those circumstances it can be considered success. You do understand that success or failure is not absolute thing, right? For example if I made $1M a year, at this moment I'd consider that "success", but for Bill Gates making only 1M a year would likely mean failure. I think the "problem" there is that it's kinda hard for terrorists to find people who believe in imaginable Jesus/Mohammad so much that they're ready to destroy themselves who are also smart enough. WTF...... since when did the terrorists we are facing now do anything in the name if Jesus? I know that has happened in the past but I think it is comical you just cannot stop yourself from taking a shot at religion or specifically Christianity. 2. This is another point I will make.... Im working very hard on my skillset with more tunnel hours scheduled as I really want to move towards VFS in the future..... but you post this and mock his flying and for a second I really thought to myself wow I have not come a long way and I must just suck. Then I realized of course that there is probably more to the story. I am not attacking you just letting you know how you are coming off. You may be way better than he is... I have no idea but to "laugh" at him and mock him also insults those of us who are below that level. I just think you took tto much time mocking him instead of making a valid point. 3. Ok.... fisrt realize I only have 260 jumps and 2 hrs of tunnel but I gotta know.... is he that bad? I mean I've watched way better but does he really suck? No.He's actually quite good. He's just not used to flying in the tunnel. I know he is good... Orly talked about it every now and again. I've watched him in the sky.... I was asking if this tunnel video shows he is horrible. Like I said.... he is not a stud in these vids but he doesn't suck does he? Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 4. I like this answer. If I was told I had to shoot Ted Bundy or some random animal I would have cleared a mag before you finished your sentence and I can promise you that the animal would be just fine. 5. I think we have a pretty decent selection of people who use the term "liberal" pretty interchangeably with "stupid," "unpatriotic," or pretty much anything else bad. Just sayin' Wendy P. Wendy.... i just love how nice you are and I'm being serious. You always add to a conversation and go about it very well. Kudos to you

  7. From what I understand there are "fathers" of freefly. Orly King was one of those who started it all with olav and I'm sure there are others out there. Who gives a shit? Bottom line is Olav had a big part in it. Are we even sure Olav is the one coaching? Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 8. See aunt/uncle reference above. Look I'm just saying they did not own them in any way. It was a good game. I liked watching it and was impressed with how both teams played. That all being said.... 1 thing goes differently and the game changes. That's football! It's not like we were watching the O State/ Oregon game where O states D owned Oregon or better yet the schooling Florida put on UC. That simply did not happen in this game. 9. Ouch - you're going to fall hard when they lose. I didn't denegrate their win. I said that in a playoff situation, they're unlikely to repeat the upset the following game. Better for them to stick with the bowl system where they can live the glory forever. When a 12 seed beats a 5 seed at the basketball tourney, how long does anyone remember or care? About 1 week. A bowl upset lasts forever. But let's review 2008 - lost to TCU 17-16. 12-0 record proven a sham 2007 - lost to directional Carolina, 41-38. Lost to terrible Washington team. No win of note 2006 - Beat Oklahoma 43-42 in very watchable game. Best season. 2005 - Lost to BC, 27-21. Bad followup on 2004. 2004 - lost to Louisville, 44-40. another perfect season tainted. I'm waiting. Where's your excuse for TCU getting OWNED by Boise State? Hmmmmmmm? Ummmm I have one point to make... TCU had a easy touch that the receiver dropped in the end zone. That would have pushed it to OT. I know he didn't make the catch but 99/100 times he probably would have. Just saying.... but I think it was a good win for Boise. I was very impressed by their D. 10. ass! It could be worse, I could post pictures proving it like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v400/onekick/Bikes/nice008.jpg But that would be mean..... I hate you! 12. So you're just as bad as he is? Got it. Not sure why you're upset then. IMO, while I really don't like Limbaugh at all, this thread is in bad taste. Lots of people, on both sides, have showed their true colors. It's disappointing, but not surprising. Ian +1 to wish harm on another like this especially when it is nothing more than a person being on a different side of the fence politically..... come on.... its sad really. 13. Hehe, switching to Vector is at least one step backward I will honestly say that a Mirage is a great container and it is very well built. They are soooo ugly though hahaha Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 14. The Colts sitting the starters is not a good or bad thing. One can argue the point either way. As a Colts fan I really would have loved to see them win! I hated it but at the same time I get it. This is nothing new for them. The only thing I do not like the the Jets getting in bc of it. The Bengals will let them win also just so they can play them in the first round of the playoffs. That sucks for teams trying to fight their way in. Look at Malaluga (sp.?) though he wasn't even in the play and broke his ankle. Had P E Y Peyton or D Clarke gone down in a game that means jack shit that would have sucked even more. I would like my boys in blue to be a part of history but the goal is the Super Bowl and I want to have full strength in the playoffs. Espcially if we win like we should and face San Diego or New England. P.s. I think Philly is going to the Super Bowl in the NFC. They are looking real strong on both sides of the ball. I would actually take Dallas or Philly over NO or Minn. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 16. I get this logic and I would not have a problem jumping without mine BUT I am not going to ever do that. Why? because I have one for a reason and thats to use if ever needed. I don't plan on using it and hope to God I am never in a situation when I do need it but you never know. I have talked a to more than a few skydivers that have been involved in a collision and lost consciousness as a result. Again, you are right they are not to be depended on but I think several jumpers out there will make that statement but are very capable of juming without one. 17. +1 tailor an intro/cover letter/ and even resume to the specific job you are applying for. also, as mentioned above try to fit everything the company is asking for. This is very important in entry - mid level jobs. The whole elaborate resume and traditional cover latter may come in to play with high end jobs but I have even found with my current job they just wanted my resume. My current job is a high ranking position in the company. Good Luck! Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 18. Feel free to PM me I have been working with a really great coach since August and what I have been able to accomplish so far has been awesome. We are heading to the tunnel in Feb. 21. Very nice! Thank you for sharing. It got me excited as I just started working with a FF coach at the end of this yr and we have 2 hrs tunnel time slated in Feb..... it made me really look to the future and see my work is going to pay off. 22. Oh ya.... all the way. I got to know the UPT people very well. I also made a point to really thank them for their work and tell them how happy I am with my rig!
  23. Sounds like a great idea. As I said in the AFF thread..... I will never claim to be some amazing skydiver with "mad skillz" but I feel I was ready. I had 120 jumps but was and am very serious about working on my skills every jump. With a little effort on our DZ one can really take a lot of knowledge away as well as work in the air with some really good jumpers and instuctors. I am blessed and have the funds to really push myself and am doing so in FF now so I think that helped me a lot but I do not see any reason why someone packing their way through could not do the same. My coach course was pretty tough. Greg and Kim really made sure we could handle the requirements and told us over and over that studdents will shock the hell out of you in the air and on the ground. Air skills are very important but what I think is overlooked is the ability to teach on the ground. I had an advantage from years of teaching in many different situations but I still took away a lot from the course. I do not see what harm it would do to have a 200 jump requirement and a C license but I also feel more attantion should be paid to the teaching aspect. 24. Are you asking if the Constitution gives Congress sufficient power to pass healthcare reform legislation? If so, then yes, Congress is sufficiently empowered by the Constitution. They can pass legislation - they can't mandate purchase of an item or service. THAT is where it will be challenged. That is what I mean and I also agree that if it is passed it will go to the SC. 25. Para.... I would like to address the coach topic. I got my coach raqting at 120 jumps. I thought it was great that I could do that. I know I am improving everytime I jump but I feel very good about being able to coach students through the "CAT's" I am permitted to coach. I also feel good about teaching class (I have taught a long time in various situatuions). Also, My I/E's Greg and Kim kicked ass. They also were very tough on us. Greg said in the very beginning that we will earn this rating bc he will not sign off unless he knows that we can handle the rating. Sure enough our class was not easy and I feel I earned my rating! Thanks again Greg and Kim :). Now looking back with all of my experience I actually do see that the coach rating may benefit from more experience. Maybe 150 jumps? I am no stud in the air but I do think I do well with students but I can see some jumpers that have come off of student status and reached 100 jumps that I would be horrified if they got their coach rating. At my DZ we all know each other and it is small. I think that helps when someone wants to get a rating bc we are very honest with each other when saying someone is or is not ready. I do not think oir small DZ would be hurt that much by a coach rating requiring 150-200 jumps in in my thoughts..... that can be nothing but positive for future students being taught by them. I think the only down side is that some DZ's may suffer as a result needing coachs but whats more important.... the quality of the program and safty or being able to have more coach instructors at a DZ?
