  1. I have one as well. I've had no problems and actually like it better than the new style Sony's that force you to use a touch screen to access all the functions. The TRV 30 has a button for the fader which is really handy, and also a button for the Program AE functions. Skydive Radio

  3. Same here. I've had terminal reserve deployments and the occasional Icarus FX "chain-link-bungee" opening with no Stroboframe problems. Sounds like a freak accident. Maybe there was some debris of some kind keeping the Stroboframe from totally locking down? Skydive Radio

  5. He has had some very similar experiences in stripper bars as well. Funny stuff. Skydive Radio
  6. Use the Premier video effect "Transform". It should be in the "Distort" folder of your video effects. Drag it onto your clip, then in the Effect Controls Pallette, adjust the effects rotation to 90 degrees. Render, and you're done. Skydive Radio
  7. Damn Twardo, you've got WAY too much time on your hands. Skydive Radio
  8. Some more recent pictures of Elmo jumping at a boogie in MN last year. Check out his awsome form at pull time. Skydive Radio
  9. Bill, I use a Videonics Titlemaker 2000 combined with an audio mixing board. The titlemaker lets me do both titles and fades. It also has some other effects like wipes and disolves, but in my opinion this makes the video look to busy. You can pick them up on Ebay between $75-$150. I have been very happy with it. Here are a couple pics. Skydive Radio
  10. If you use firewire to transfer footage you will see it playing on both camera screens. To send a finished project in premiere back to your camera go to File>Export Timeline>Export to Tape. This is a good way to save your finished products so you can free up hard disk space. Skydive Radio
  11. I don't get it. Why are you not mounting your stills on the front? Skydive Radio

  13. When I import a standard clip into a widescreen project in Premiere 6.5 it automatically streches that image to fit the new screen size. Is there a way to make Premiere crop off the top and bottom of the image instead, like the "Maintain Aspect Ratio" option for still images? I would rather loose some of the image off the top and bottom of the frame than to have it distorted by streching it to fit. Skydive Radio
  14. Your best bet would be to contact Linda at Bonehead. That number is 909.943.1166. She should be able to answer any questions you may have. Skydive Radio
  15. I am having a hard time understanding why striping the tape would reduce the chance of dropped frames during recording. You are still recording a digital image to the tape, just a black screen. Whats the difference? Skydive Radio
  16. FYI, There is no difference in the playback quality of ANY mini DV tape as long as you don't get any dropped frames during the original recording. All the data on the tape is digital so the camera is going to read it the same regardless of what tape you use. The more expensive tapes "should" be less likely to get dropped frames during recording, but the quality of the image will be the same on any of them. Skydive Radio
  17. Or better yet, post the info here for the rest of us to see. I picture would be very cool too. Skydive Radio
  18. Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 comes with a sound editor as well. It works with MP3 as well as other audio formats. Skydive Radio
  19. I wonder how much of a demand there would be for this type of product outside of the skydiving world. Skydive Radio
  20. If you have another audio track overlaping what you are trying to ripple delete (like a song on a different audio track) then you will need to lock that audio track on the timeline for the ripple delete to work. Skydive Radio
  21. efs4ever, Is your idea to have the student hold this thing? edit for spelling Skydive Radio
  22. Some of the shots you will NOT get with the handicam glove: 1) The cool exit shot of the pair doing a front flip with the airplane in the background. 2) Orbiting the drouge. This shot gives a great perspective of what is really happening. You get to see the tandem pair hanging out there in space with the ground below them. With the glove cam you may see the ground occasionally, but I doubt it will have the same effect. 3) The deployment shot. Nothing shows the speed as well as the tandem pair wizzing thru the frame at deployment. 4) The landing shot of the entire canopy decending and touching down. I agree that there are some interesting possibilities and some unique angles with the handicam glove and if it was being used in addition to outside video I would say "great idea". But to use it as the only camera seems really cheap to me. Skydive Radio
  23. [Bevis and Butthead Voice] Cool...he said threesomes...[/Bevis and Butthead Voice] Really though, it does seem like a pretty shoddy way to do a video. It's like looking at someones inside rw footage(yawn)...boring. Outside camera looks so much better. I understand the handicam glove is more efficient, but it seems like a huge trade-off for the quality you're giving the customer. Skydive Radio
  24. Clint, Where are you getting T-20's for .50, and does that include a sleeve? Skydive Radio
  25. For tandems I set the first tone at an altitude about 500 feet above the tandem opening altitude for a head's up that the opening is coming. The next tone is set at my pull altitude and the third at 1500. Same on fun jumps except I set the first tone to breakoff altitude. Skydive Radio
