  1. For the record, the camera operator was not the lickie. I still use soap and water to wash my feet. Skydive Radio
  2. I liked the intro very much. Nice job. Skydive Radio
  3. No, but I would be more than happy to contribute one of the four jump tickets, video tape it, email the Dawn and Drew Show about it, and change your nickname from "Pinky" to "Shit Licker"......oh wait, I already did all that. You're one nasty shitlickin motherfucker ...pictures to follow. Skydive Radio
  4. If you are using a DVD recorder you just don't finalize the disc. Skydive Radio
  5. The Epson R-200 Photo printer is under $100 and will print directly onto inkjet printable DVD's. I print up 50 blanks at a time, let them dry and then re-stack them back on the spindle. You can get regular movie DVD boxes from Meritline.com for much less than what you will pay at a retail store. They also sell the blank inkjet printable DVD's and photo glossy DVD case inserts. Total cost after printing may be a buck more per DVD than what you are doing now with a free jewl case and a plain DVD but your product will look 100 times better. If you're that worried about the extra $1 pass it on the the customer. Skydive Radio
  6. That is so cool! Thanks for posting that. I noticed you cant create keyframes on the ruberband with a mouse click like you used to be able to do. I had to add a keyframe at the CTI manually but other than that its just like the old rubberbands. Cool. Skydive Radio
  7. Could you please SHOUT a little louder and repeat yourself at least 3 more times? Some of us still don't quite get it, and the more you act like a child the more we will all respect what you have to say. Skydive Radio
  8. The audio ruberbands are not in Premiere Pro. You now have to use either an audio crossfade or the effect control window and keyframes. Skydive Radio
  9. Why do you consider this whining? Skydive Radio
  10. Do whatever cutting drilling and mounting you need to do to make your setup as functional as possible. The Cameye is a very handy thing. Form should take a second to functionality. Remember, it's not a real piece of skydiving equipment until it has a scratch, stain, tear, hole, crack or gaffers tape on it. Skydive Radio
  11. We have a camera flyer at our dz that has been jumping one for years. I think its like asking whats wrong with jumping a cruislite or some other older canopy. Probably nothing wrong with it, but there have since been better, cleaner options developed. Skydive Radio
  12. I had bad luck with Win MX. The best P2P I've found to date is Lime Wire. No bundled spyware or adware like Kazaa, no pop-ups, faster downloads, better search results and it's free. Check it out at www.limewire.com Skydive Radio
  13. Check out this combo unit from Go-Video. http://www.govideo.com/Index.asp?GV=VR4940 DVD and VHS recording in one unit. I've been very happy with mine and another camer flyer at our dz bought one last year and likes his as well. And FYI, -R format is compatible with more set top DVD players than +R. Skydive Radio
  14. Grrrrrrr....why are they all like that now. I have a button on my d-box to push the external fader button on my TRV-30 so I can do fades under canopy (tandem opens, stop recording with them still in the frame, deploy, push fade button, then start recording again on landing) looks really cool but you can't do it with any of the new Sony's cause of the menu driven faders unless you have a lanc controller that will handle it, but then no cameye2. Guess Ill look for another TRV-30 used on ebay when I need to replace mine. Skydive Radio
  15. Move the CTI to the frame you want, then File>Export>Frame. Afterward you will probably want to bring it into PS and de-interlace. Skydive Radio
  16. There are many export options for .wmv or .mpg within Premiere Pro's media encoder. Play around with them and find a balance of quality and size you're happy with. Edit for spelling Skydive Radio
  17. We do it the same way but you could probably look thru the windshield of the right airplane well enough to pick up on the exit if you were flying it the way he described. Im with you though, trail trail is easier. Skydive Radio
  18. If it's out of Cessna's I think he would want the left trail plane to get the unobstructed view since they have a right side door and all I would also try to get in the "all the way out" position and squat down as far as possible to get the strut out of the frame. Or you could hang off the back of the door beside the fuselage and get a cool view of the jumpers from your plane exiting as well. We do Cessna formation loads at our dz as well. I never get tired of watching the airplanes in formation, it's just too cool. Have fun! Skydive Radio
  19. I have not had any of the problems you mentioned. Thats really a bummer that it's not working for you. I am using version 1.5 and have had good luck with it. Skydive Radio
  20. When you bring an mpeg into Premiere Pro it is transcoded to DV for editing so you would still have to transcode it again for output to a dvd. It's above my head but has something to do with the mpeg compression loosing quality when rendered multiple times. I'm with Lew on this one. Linear editing is much easier for tandem videos but since you are already set up for non-linear you may want to check out Adobe Encore for your DVD authoring. It's true that you can burn a DVD right from Premier Pro but your options are very limited. Encore gives you all the flexibility for DVD authoring that Premiere gives you for editing. edited to add Encore info. Skydive Radio
  21. How do you go about doing this and how much does it cost? Skydive Radio
  22. Chris, Check out Adobe After Effects. Skydive Radio
  23. Agreed. But not everyone works that way. I use the book more as a reference for specific problems. Skydive Radio
