    I never really worried about it like some people seem to but it was my turn to cutaway on jump 38. It was just instinctive. I panicked for about a second then went straight to cutaway handle. peeled, pulled, dropped () by the time I had my hand on the reserve handle the reserve was already out and fully inflated (I know. I should have pulled it anyway. I got tons of shit for not pulling it.)

    Do something completely and ridiculously stupid that will earn you a nickname and make you a legend. Then they will come to you. Seriously. If you don't wanna go that route though, just talk to them about whatever. Just cause they are old doesn't mean they will hate everything you like. They may, but they may not.

    Did anybody ever figure out if she was for real? I thought there were a couple posts from people planning to go out there when she was supposedly doing her first jump.

    I appreciate that you are trying to help her, but don't you think you should let her come up with the questions? If we give her questions, she probably won't care about the question or the answers and therefore won't bother to remember them. In skydiving you should want to learn. I started jumping 6 months ago and I still ask way too many questions. I'm pretty sure the instructors are annoyed at how many questions I ask. But I'd rather ask too many than not enough and get myself in a bad situation or do something stupid that could kill me (like i asked one of my instructors if it was ok for me to rent a 190 instead of a 210).

    Quite a bit. But I can do basic math. I'm just not sure I got the formula right. its 2 degrees less for every 1,000ft right?

    It being a birthday jump. It'll be sunny all day. Assuming I did my math correctly it will be about 7 degrees at altitude. And to get it to go I may have to buyout the cessna load. I highly doubt anyone else will be there to jump. You have until 10:45 to help me decide. (thats when my first class gets over and I have a 3 hour window to get to the DZ, jump and get back to school.)

    I can't speak for everyone. But if people look at it the way I did, it's basically just a license to jump out of specialty aircraft and do beach jumps. *shrugs*
