Questions to ask when buying a new computer...
skittles_of_SDC replied to selbbub78's topic in The Bonfire
Yeah your posts don't sound at all like a rabid PC fanboy. Like I said, There are 4 windows machines in my house. I used windows for 8 years before switching back to a Mac. After using both extensively I have decided I like the Mac better. I could have sworn that would be considered thinking for myself. -
Questions to ask when buying a new computer...

Would you like me to provide you with examples where exactly the same (or better) equipped PC costs much less than mac? Better yet, are you able to pick any component you like for that mac or only able to choose from a list that Apple seems fit for you to use? If OSX is so great and solves all worlds problems, why would anyone use Windows on mac? *** "Pretty much anything"(tm) does not include gaming, customization, advanced hardware configurations, free service packs... Apple is good at what it does - it provides easy to use no stress user experience. Mac is reliable, it is trendy and it does a lot of things "out of the box" but such model does have its downfalls - limited hardware support, not a lot of software is written for mac (compared to PC) and it costs more. Some people are OK with that, some are not. But just because mac works for you does not mean it will work for everybody else. I'm gonna have to call bullshit on you. While they may not have as many games, they still have some. You make it sound like there are none. And what is your definition of 'advanced hardware configurations'? There are 4 Windows computers in my house and one Mac (mine). I've used both... a lot... my Mac is just better plain and simple. -

Blasphemy, I know. Here, Have another cup of Kool-aid. And thank you for helping to make my point. How does any of that make any sense? Because I corrected you on a proper noun all of a sudden it makes me part of the 'cult of apple'(I believe thats how you described it)? You seem just as hardcore Windows as these people are hardcore Mac. What's that word I'm looking for? Oh yeah, hypocrisy. Enjoy your day. -
It depends. Cats sucked but The Lion King was awesome.

I know there are a lot of different sub genre's its just easier to say techno than electronic dance music and people know what you are talking about. I used to be all about techno, trance, dance, break beat, drum & bass all that crap.

Dude, it's Mac not MAC. You're driving me nuts. A MAC refers to a MAC address (Media Access Control address), used to identify a unique piece of networking hardware. A Mac is a Macintosh computer. Thank you for your time. -
That post reminds me of this flash video.

Why is there so much techno in skydiving videos? I know a lot of videos use rock but way more seem to use techno.

I was gonna make a wise ass comment like "Do you sell Apple?" but it looks like everyone beat me to it. -
Assuming I still remember this thread exists, I'll do that.

Well good. I don't wanna be a part of something like this. Just in case you couldn't tell from the attitude in my posts. So its agreed Skittles stays away from Squeek and Sangi and off the load anytime they have a tandem rig on.
-
You and squeek need to quit just talking about doing this stuff and go do it. Sangi and Squeek, 1...2 yup that makes up a tandem pair. niteko will be your third.
-
Nope. I didn't pack mine. However I don't blame my packer either. I wont drop names but mine was the second canopy of its model to blow out in as many weeks. Then another one blew out the next week.

Yeah, Lucky likes 'em young. Stick around after hours, you never know what might happen... Just messing with you Lucky.

Wait....I didn't say that. I just like the word debauchery. Sorry, didn't mean to put words in your mouth. I guess I interpreted it wrong. Well this thread need pics of someone's girlfirend. Perhaps you would like to oblige. Have you ever even read any of my posts? I think it's pretty obvious I don't have a girlfriend. My stupidness kinda scares the ladies away. I'm sure the women on here will vouch for that one.

Fire and Ice Wingsuit Boogie in Sebastian.
skittles_of_SDC replied to skittles_of_SDC's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I just wasn't sure because when I made a post about my first flight in here I got a little bit of flack. So I wasn't sure if the organizers felt the same way as some of the people in these forums. [shrugs] And I'm sure this boogie would help me learn not only performance but safety aspects as well. -

Did you get kicked in the head in freefall or possibly destroy your head on a bad landing? I'd happily try to do this with the right TM and passenger strapped on front (not customer or student). Well he said he wants to do it with a student.

This may belong in Events & Places to jump, I'm not sure. I had a couple questions about the boogie for anyone who knows the details of it. The descriptions I've seen on the facebook event page and the Sebastian calendar say beginner intermediate. Does this mean it is for beginners on the verge of being considered intermediate and higher or is it for beginners as well? Would I even be allowed to do it with only 175 jumps and only 3 wingsuit jumps? And also will AAD's be required? Thanks. -

+1 I'm very sorry to hear that. It can't be easy. I was 20 at the time so it was way different but my Grandma passed away. She had strokes. I'm very glad I saw her before she completely stopped responding. My little cousin was like 3 and as stupid as this sounds you could tell he knew something was wrong. Whenever he would look at her he would get kind of an almost worried look. Point being he'll probably understand something is wrong and IF he remembers it when he gets older, he'll be glad he got to be with him in the end.

your 21 WTF would you know about morality or maturity or life for that that its overrated. except for the moral of honesty. not enough honest people in this world.

Nothing like getting relationship advice from a 16 year old. Edit to add: Of course I remember that post Lucky. I remember it cause I didn't get there in time for the pics. Oh and I agree with downward. Morality is overrated.
