I read it to mean that Scott was one of the directors of the documentary. Not the pilot Scott. Did I miss something? but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

Jo, I meant to ask you this the other day and then forgot. A long time ago you posted something to the effect that the composite artist had a difficult time portraying a feature of the hijacker that the witnesses told him. I've searched but you know how this forum kind of rambles in many different directions. It went from the ears to the sagging eye, broad forehead, widows peak, etc. etc. etc. I got tired. I can't remember if you said that this was something to do with Cooper's mouth expression or his forehead. Do you remember this discussion? What was the feature that he had a hard time portraying? but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

. I'll bite. I still think the canadian Dan Cooper comic series makes sense. Not to start any thing but I read that the creator of Dan Cooper, Weinberg, also introduced another character for TinTin in 1970. She was a blonde haired tour guide named Vicky. Dan Cooper met Vicky in the spy-oriented "L'Affaire Minos" (#21)

I still haven't found out if any witnesses noticed whether Cooper favored right or left hand (smoking, drinking, etc), so not sure where Blevins gets that -- The tie tac could have been moved by someone else after Cooper left it or Cooper might have re-tacked it after taking it off - if it was even his to begin with......but for purposes of the 25 reasons, I wonder if the tie tac is even relevant anyway. I think it depends on whether one is using the tie tac to hold the tie to the shirt or not. Some men clip the tie to the shirt so that it stays in place. I can't tell if kenny is doing this or not but it makes sense that he would do this in his job. Don't most men's shirts have buttons on the right? -- I think women's do too -- now that most of us have to dress ourselves This means the edge with the button hole is toward the right and that's the side you would have to put it on in order to clip the tie to the shirt. So really wouldn't be an indication of anything in that case. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

Vicki, Did you ever find your dad's ss# from his arrest records or military service and do a search of SS death index by ss #? With his crimes involving forgery, it seems likely that he would use a fake ID and SS # once he jumped bail, ....but on the other hand, he was imprisoned and married twice under the same identity while committing more forgeries and counterfeiting - so maybe he stayed with what he knew. Just wondering - couldn't remember if the ss# issue was ever resolved. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

No offense Jerry, but I always love it when people say it's their last response to this person or that person..or they are outta here for good.

Or maybe Cooper just wanted people to think he was left-handed. Maybe that's why he left the tie? A red herring. Doesn't mean conspiracy - just a part of his plan. Maybe he watched too many episodes of Perry Mason. Did the witnesses ever weigh in on this? (With which hand did he hold cigarettes, lift drink, etc.) but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

My money was on Farflung or Carr. Can't remember if Farflung ever denied it or not. Maybe a small side bet on Sluggo. He's got the sense of humor but I don't see him spending time on the video. Amazing, isn't it how we think we know people by their online persona...when we really don't. ...Course...on the other hand....sometimes thats all we care to know.....And realizing that the same might be said for me.......Some folks on here I'd love to meet one day....others.....not so much

Well worth the listen to especially for those that are trusting souls taking the stories of others at face value. Fascinating story and the most interesting parts, to me, were all of the experts that unwittingly signed on, and the still untold story of who did the forgeries and how. Also interesting -- you can't blame the guy for at first thinking it was a setup that ABC get involved when all the other experts were fooled. Just recently the mini-series "The Kennedys" got the ax from the History Channel because of "historical inaccuracies" (they say). The rumor is that the Kennedy survivors put a lot of pressure on the History Channel to cancel because parts of it put JFK, his father, and others in a less than favorable light - power-hungry Joe, philandering John, etc. Maybe it made them too human?? I mean this is the same channel that airs quite a bit of dubious drivel. Hmmmm. Oh well back to DB. Good program Quade. Thanks but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

lol....the human mind is a funny thing...when I wrote Tiki bar, the first image that came to mind was Tom Cruise throwing around liquor bottles....couldn't take that image cause the next one was him prancing around in his bvds playing air guitar......yuck.... so I added salsa - which made me think of Paul Newman...a much nicer picture. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

The quandry is ultimately this... if the FBI doesn't find Vicki's dad somewhere else, and they say that fingerprints and DNA match Melvin's... unless they find a body in a parachute, there will always be those who say the FBI is just trying to solve the case and reinforce their theory that he died that night. Quite frankly, just as the FBI could probably never get a conviction in this case based on what the public has been told is the FBI's "preserved" evidence on a live DB, they will also never be able to convince some that this same evidence proves there is a dead DB whose body was never found. just myho.... There will always be those that will be loath to believe that DB didn't walk away (Confession..me included

What about wheat? Or what the dog does to the paper? Still profound, though, in a far-flung kind of way.

Hi Bruce. Just curious.....you seem to have info on Tina's sister and bro-in-law based on previous posts and they would appear to be relatively easy to locate, so why don't you just get in touch with them? I suspect you are enjoying the chase and a direct route wouldn't be as much fun?

Hi Bill. This was discussed way back when (someone linked to a similar post of your's on another site). At that time, ckret was posting on here and was going to check on the shoe....I did a quick search but can't find if issue of the shoe missing from evidence was ever resolved on the thread by him. Does anyone know if he ever found anything? but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill

I think the date from Vicki's post was Nov 27, 1971, but to be sure, I believe Sluggo has a copy of the actual article on his web site. I think he referenced it on the forum before. It was a different time for sure...I think Sluggo referred to cultural goggles and how some of us are looking at a 70s event through 2010 eyes. But it wasn't just the media - I remember an article where Tina's stepmother was quoted quite extensively - seems the main thing she was worried aboutwas letting everyone know that Tina's hair didn't usually look that unkempt and that basically after Tina's father heard they landed and she was okay, he went on to his golf game or other business as usual. Then a later "hometown happenings" type article noting that "the sister of local resident" is Tina Mucklow, the stewardess that was offered a bundle of money but didn't take it cause it wouldn't be right. I'm paraphrasing cause it's been a while since I looked at these articles, but the general gist is one of nonchalance. But maybe that's just my take on it. You could have a point Orange, that she might have started thinking - wait this Bozo knows me and knows where I'm at. Or there could be other reasons for her reticence. but....A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.....Winston Churchill
