Then charter a private plane. Problem solved.

So he exercised his right to peaceful protest... despite knowing the outcome and is therefore a Darwin award candidate? Really?!? There's little to no chance of this individual dying in this action and thus although he might not be the most brilliant protester but he certainly isn't a Darwin Award Candidate... No, he is a FUTURE candidate because he is so freakin' stupid he doesn't know the 4th doesn't cover his ignorant butt in this case. He isn't being forced to undergo a search and, as i've already listed, he has plenty of other otions to complete his journey. Oh, I know what the Darwin Award is. That is why I qualified the title with FUTURE candidate. Doubtless i am clueless about a few things, but I'm sure you surpass me on that. Oh, he most certainly has the right to not be molested. Molestation is against the law in every state. But I will assume you are referring to the security screenings. Ok, I'll play your childish game and we can refer to it as molesting if that is what you want. Once again, yes, he has the right to not be subjected to the process. All he has to do is take an alternative means of transport. Or he can hire a charter airplane from a local airport. Or he can BUY his own airplane and fly himself. But he most certainly does not have to subject himself to the security screenings by TSA. He qualifies as a Darwin candidate because, like the idiots who do other stupoid shit, he voluntarily put himself in a situation where the outcome was already known and then protested something that he could have avoided completely. Don't want to get pissed on? Don't hide in the bottom of an outhouse. Pretty fucking simple. But then, maybe it isn't. It does seem to be beyond your grasp. I fly at least once a week, sometimes more. Domestic and international. I don't _like_ to "have my junk touched" by another guy, but I have no issue with the full body scanner so that has not been a problem. If for some reason I am required to be frisked then i will allow them to do so. I make that agreement when i buy my airline ticket. It beats the hell out of crying like a little girl. So the TSA isn't treading on peoples rights? I got news for you. Sometimes my job requires me to be 3,000 miles away and back again by the following week. Driving, even though right now I would be willing to do it, is not always an option. No, they aren't. As you stated, you can drive. You can choose not to go through the scanner or be frisked. It is not the problem nor the fault of TSA or the airlines that you schedule your meetings so as to need to fly. Like I said, it is a contract bewteen two private parties. The airlines would be perfectly within their rights to require all passengers to wear pink overalls and little blue booties in order to get aboard their aircraft, the same as some restaurants require collared shirt, a tie, and a jacket for their male customers. Of course, they would not survive very long but that is beside the point. Uh, Dude....big difference in what they protested. Ghandi protested the violation of basic human rights. His situation was forced upon him. The kid protested a situation that he had voluntarily placed himself into knowing full well what that situation would be. In other words, Ghandi's hand was forced into the fire. The kid eagerly placed his own hand in the fire. Man strips at Va. airport checkpoint in protest Police say a man stripped to his underwear at a Virginia airport checkpoint in a protest against security procedures. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40861300/ns/travel-news/from/toolbar When will these idiots understand they don't have to deal with security? All they have to do is take an alternative form of transportation. Flying in a commercial passenger aircraft is not a right, it is a contract between two private parties in which each agrees to abide by certain requirements, among those is passing through whatever security the airport and government feels is needed. This moron knew when he bought his ticket that he would be required to pass security. It's not like it has been kept a secret. In my humble opinion, since quite a few brave men and women have died to protect your right to cast that vote, it is priceless. An (admittedly probably underdeveloped) idea I was thinking about this morning relating to the dice analogy was how a conversation might go between two people who woke up at the head of a craps table with 100s of millions of dollars in chips in front of them, and neither could remember how they got there, where the money came from, or how to play craps. So one guy takes a few hundred bucks, plays a few rounds, and gets the hang of the game but loses the few hundred bucks in the process. So he turns to the other guy and says, "I don't know, I think someone must have come along at some point last night and just given us all this money." I like it!

I agree completely. I do however believe that some people are happier believing in God and it is a victimless crime so they should be left to it. I grew out of Santa before I was 10, it took me another 10 or 15 years to grow out of God. I personally am happier for it. I love watching the debates though as no one ever seems to have the balls to put their hands up and say "I don't know all the fucking answers". The vocal physicists are as bad as the religious crowd. Yep, it's victimless. Except for those times "sinners" were tied down, a slit made in their abdominal wall, and small starving rodents inserted to eat their fill. If the victim were lucky one of the rodents would bite into a major artery and the victim would bleed to death. If not, infection would kill in a few days. Oh, and let's not forget the Crusades. Or the Inquisition. And Jihad. And pedophilic priests. I think you get the picture. Sure it can be quite astounding that all the right things happened at all the right times for life to have evolved to where it is now here on earth. A lot of those things are coincidences that happened inspite of the long odds against them. However, that fact that we are where we are now is all the proof needed to show it can happen...because it did happen. Science is discovering life can take many forms previously thought impossible. This opens up countless possibilities for life in places other than earth and under circumstances that would have resulted in a dead planet here. Faced with the choice of either trying to comprehend all the possibilities of how can form, most people just give up and accept the "God created all" explanation. It is, after all, the easy way out. Republicans have a history of hating Freedom

Bill Clinton signed the Brady Bill which banned certain firearms just because they look like military weapons. FDR imprisoned thousands of Americans just because they had Japanese parents. Hatred of freedom knows no party lines. Then I would suggest God make himself (or herself) hetero while driving and leave everyone else alone. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.

"God created all" is a way of rationalizing something that is not understood. It is a very simple explanation, albeit one that cann't be disproven (how handy ) Science may not have all the answers, but at least the ones it gives can be tested. If they are disproven they are disgarded. If testing doesn not diprove them then they are tested again..and again...and again. Saying God created everything is about as provable as saying the universe is just a giant tuna can full of dog doodoo. just pay their fair share of taxes. and their children do their fair share of the work same as the rest of us... (now about those tax havens for the super rich - how do they support us) Once again, they pay a larger percentage of their income in taxes. How is this not fair or even more than fair? Instead of taxing people more why don't we just spend less? We can start by doing a better job of seperating those who cannot take care of themselves from those who will not take care of themselves. You want to tax the rich at a higher rate, yet I have a feling you would be among the first to decry them if they got treated any differently just because they are rich. if they had been paying their fair share of taxes then the banks wouldn't have froze and we (the majority) wouldn't have had to bail the super rich (the minority) out... Yep, I was right. You want the upper 10% to support everyone. it is obvious to the majority of us that the super rich (and their children) do not pay their fair share of taxes. you can wriggle as much as you want but if you think otherwise you are in the democratic minority. They pay a larger percentage of their income to the government in taxes. They spend more so they pay more sales tax. How do you figure they aren't paying "their fair share"? Maybe you figure they pay enough when you don't have to pay any. someone who gets a $3.5 million inheritance... If you are referring to me you are wrong. The value of the business (according to the government) was closer to 5 mill. After taxes, etc. I ended up with about 1.5 mill. That was enough to pay off my business loans and my home. Though comfortable I am far from rich and still work every day. If you would like the same lifestyle then i suggest you get busy and work instead of hanging around an internet forum. Why am i here? Because i worked my ass off and can now take the time to hang here. There are those who dream and those who do. Which one are you? The fact that you and your father were able to build a business is really impressive. Too bad you and your dad weren't savvy enough to hire the right people to structure ownership in such a way as to be able to avoid an unplanned for tax burden. Had the right advisors been hired and their advice followed, things would have been different. I am supposed to feel sorry for you because you failed to follow basic business principles? I don't think so... Never asked anyone to feel sorry for me. All I ever asked was for the asswipes that run the government to stop thinking what I earn is theirs and I am only entitled to what they allow me to keep. If you want to give all your hard earned money to Uncle Sam, have at it. How would you suggest the government raise money for roads, schools, defense, etc. , if not from taxes paid by the citizens and residents of the country? Are you living with rushmc in Cloud-Cuckoo Land? I don't have any problem paying taxes as long as the money is spent wisely. Unfortunately a very large portion is wasted on bullshit such as the war in Iraq, illegal wiretaps, etc. You're a smart man. You know as well as I, maybe better, that the government wastes far too much money. Don't tell me you are among those that feel people fall into two groups: Those that think all taxes are fair and needed, and those that want no taxes at all. Sure I made the choice. But, in reality, there was no choice. Either go further in debt than i already was from my own business or sell. I did not inherit 3.5 million. The true amount, after selling at auction and paying taxes, was barely a third of that. It was, thankfully, enough to pay off my house and my own business debt. Answer me this: How would YOU feel if somebody forced you through economic penalties to forfeit 2/3 of what you and your father had spent decades building by working your ass off 24/7? First off it must have been a pretty decent sized business if the taxation on any equity over 3.5 million forced you to sell. Secondly, it must not have been a very profitable business if you weren't able to get financing to cover the taxes on the equity over 3.5 million. It doesn't take much to total 3.5 million. A few brakes, a couple shears, presses, some CNC equipment, trucks, trailers, tools, etc. plus the real estate to house it all adds up real quick. The business was profitable but to borrow money to pay the taxes killed any incentive I had to keep it open. I had my own business to run and the prospect of more responsibility for no financial return was not very inviting. The shop was closed, the assets sold at auction, and 9 people were out of work and went on unemployment. Ain't government in action wonderful?
