All of what you implied would happen would never happen for one simple reason: It would destroy the economy overnight and the pols, as ignorant as they seem at times, would know it. They know they will retire very wealthy from the indirect benefits of the office and would avoid any such drastic measures for a relatively small and short sighted gain. I have always felt a politician's total net income should not exceed that of the average net income of the district or state they represent. The President's and VP's should be limited to the average of the nation. If they are good at their job they will make a small fortune on the talk circuit and in book sales after leaving office. The only problem is in enforcing it. So does this mean that the quality of people who run the country should be at the 50th percentile of our society, in terms of skill and education? Sounds ugly, esp with the high school graduation rate in the low 70s. I would expect corporations to hire a CEO with abilities a bit higher than the average for the company as well. Let's see.... The job pays

That makes no sense at all. No shit, rhys, it doesn't. Here's something you can try to prove to yourself i am right on this. Start hitting your hand with a hammer. Hit it HARD! And keep doing it while telling yourself it doesn't hurt. And everytime you say it doesn't hurt, hit it again only even harder. Then, when your hand is all a bloody pulp and it still hurts, dip it in a bucket of jabanero juice. But remember to keep telling yourself the more it hurts the more you are convinced it doesn't. You are absolutely 100% correct and I don't think many, if any, here will challenge you on that. But that doesn't mean we will believe a theory made up of half-truths and bad science when we and others can and have disproven every single aspect of those theories time and again. Distrust of government is one thing. Agreeing with crackpots is something else entirely. Once again you erode valuable bandwidth by copying an entire post. -Yeah, right....like you don't engage in name-calling. -I gave you sevral examples of you contradicting yourself. #1 way is relying on government data when it supports your assertions but ignoring it or insinuating it is made up when it doesn't. Your paper has been shown to be BS. -Yes, it renders the entire report useless since there is absolutely no way to reproduce the testing with any sort of confience in the acurracy of the results. Another person could not answer the simplest question, "Am i working with a similar sample?" Unknown in= unknown out. -Bill has addressed the issue correctly, just not to your liking. -I have not spent one second searching for a peer reviewed paper to disprove yours. It is not needed. You need to prove yours to be factual. I do not need to prove it to be false. Thus far you have failed. -I have given you examples of where to find thermite residue, both reacted an unreacted, in several situations including burned out buildings, dirt, etc. You chose to ignore them like everything else. -One example of an independent study. http://www.cs.purdue.edu/news/6-15-07WTC.htm -God sent down masses of invisible flying monkeys with laser-emmiting bananas to cut the columns. That is why the WTC fell. Don't believe me? Prove me wrong. ( It makes more sense than any theory you have put up.) I might add that, in all likelyhood, the people who claimed to have heard an explosion....had never heard explosion other than in a movie. I guarrantee it is not even close to the same thing. Holy shit, dude. Do you even bother to read what people post in their replies to your crap? That paper and the research it was based on have been shown to be completely rejectable partially in part because it is NOT repeatable! There is no reliable chain of custody for the samples nor their handling. The testing was done with an outcome already determined. Ok, rhys, a couple points to make communicating with each other much easier. First, don't copy the entire thread in a reply. It makes it difficult, if not impossible, to tell what you have written and what was already there. Second, stop contadicting yourself and give data and evidnece that makes sense. You posted, "The chemical composition and micro-images of two WTC iron-rich spheres were documented by the US Geological Survey. The fraction of microspheres in the dust varied (between 0.2 and 1.3 % for USGS outdoor samples and a mean of 5.87% for all RJ Lee samples) depending on the area where the samples were taken." Several points to make. -Why believe the government now? In all other matters concerning 911 you call them liars so why accept their findings on the dust? -What did Jones and Company find in theirs for iron sphere concentration? You can't say because they didn't do a complete analysis which pretty much means their entire report is second-rate high school level bullshit. -Bill has addressed the explosions. -I don't have to show you a peer reviewed article to disprove your bs. It is up to YOU to prove your assertions, which you have not done to anyones satisfaction but your own. -Yes, thermite is easy to make. It is also very easy to find thermitic, reacted and unreacted, material in almost any residue of a building fire. -Jones and company had only HEARD of nanothermite and had never studied it or seen it. Therefore, they have absolutely no foundation on which to base their comparisons. -The towers collapsed as a result of damage from impact and fires caused by the aircraft. Nothing more. This has been proven by many completely independent studies and analysis. Sorry, bub, but those are the facts. You are sitting on a bench with Kennedy CT's, moon landing denyers, and Elvis-seeing-hippies. The Barbershop . . . Funny Joke . . .
Belgian_Draft replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
so, change the names to something that'll sit better in your political comfort zone - or do a search on this specific joke and find versions there that already do it for you Some of us don't find such jokes funny even when they are targeted on political opponents. And some people completely lack a sense of humor. If having a sense of humor means laughing when somebody calls another man's wife a whore, I'm glad I don't have one. Point #1: Nobody called anybody a whore. Lots of non-whores have been inside a whorehouse. Point #2: Lighten up, Francis. It was a FUCKING JOKE! UFO? Mystery Missile? WTF was it over California???

What kind of airplane? Certainly not like any I have ever seen. Quite possibly it was some wealthy amateur rocketeer sending off an oversize toy. Or just our military experiencing another "oh shit!" moment. Where oh where are you tonight? Why did you leave me(us) here all alone? Time to answer simple question I posed, rhys! (Jeopardy music plays....) Do your own research and come back to me with results, you are slack and have no point to put across, so how about you actuaslly bring something to the conversation and show us ONE of your denying scientists that have taken the time to refute this paper, scientifically, put it through peer review and published it. You have been saying for a long time now that there are more that defend the official story, then show us one. Not some youtube video fo some angry little right wing warmongers doing brown eys, and calling names like twoofers but an actual scientific journal. I thnk you will have difficulty finding one on the nanothermite subejct, because you are trying to discredit science, you are too slack to investigate for yourself and you ignore pertinant information that is the core of the conversation. Like I suggested earlier, show us your argument. As you have none right now other than insulting words which is not very scientific at all. It is about time you bought some credit to your integrety, as your argument is looking pretty weak now if you are stumped by and illiterate radiophobe with no clue, like you claim me to be. It is about time you step up to the plate. I am only asking questions that you should be able to answer if you understood the paper. I said it before, this paer would have been tossed back in my face had i submitted it in engineering college. They drew conclusions before any testing was ever done, compared what they thought was nanothermite to conventional thermitic material when they had no data on how actual nanothermite would perform, etc. In short, they knew what they wanted to prove and only performed tests that could back up their suspicians....including testing paint chips that anybody who has taken a high school chem class would know would not react the same as the metallic chips they tested. Now...answer my question. I already know the answer. What was the concentration of Fe spheres in the samples before they were subjected to destructive tests? Hell, the answer is right there in the report. You did read and understand it, didn't you? Time to step up to the plate, bub, and "put your money where your mouth is". Iron SPHERES, thus. Iron SPHERES. What was the concentration of iron spheres in the raw samples? And please use an objective source this time. Please reply. I'm still waiting for his reply to my question, What was the concentration of Fe spheres in the dust samples prior to ignition in the tests? But I'm not holding my breath for an answer. Why would the government share samples with a truther group? Why would the people he talked with care to comment on the red-grey chips he supposedly found in the samples when whatever they possibly would say would be twisted to suit Jones' purposes? Where in that post of your does anybody comment on the viability and acurracy of the samples? And, most inportantly, What was the concentration of Fe spheres in the dust samples prior to ignition? Can you answer that very simple straight forward question? Pfffftt........We all know it was an evil plot hatched by Bush/Cheney and PNAC to take over the World and control the flow of oil. What rock have you been hiding under? True but then the only thing I don't understand is, since Bush and Cheney engineered the whole thing, how come they fabricated Al Qaeda for the fall guys rather than Saddam Hussein? Rabbits. They wanted a distraction so they could steal rabbits. None. The thieving conspirators who planted the nanothermite stole it all when they left. Rumor is they even took all the light bulbs. (Were any intact lightbulbs found in the debris? No! Proof that it was an inside job.) Once again, I never claimed they were tampered with. I only pointed out the possibility they were due to how the samples were collected and handled. You are wrong in your assertion that the samples were collected in proper manner. They weren't since the writer has only the assurance of each person that they got the samples as they claim. Think about it, rhys. Which makes more sense: Dozens or hundreds of people conspiring and working over months to destroy several buildings while murduring their own countrymen....or one or two non-objective people intentionally contaminating dust samples with a substance they want to be sure is found? BTW, the iron oxide spheres in fly ash are not pure iron oxide. The ratio of Fe2O3/Fe varies considerably and can actually change over time due to reactions with other elements within the concrete. In some instances these spheres are almost entirely Fe and, as Bill explained earlier, when forced airborne they will segregate into groups of similar size and composition. Since you read the paper and have a complete understanding of the contents.....what percentage of the raw samples were elemental Fe in any form? The paper is also very poorly written. If I had submitted a work like that while in engineering college it would have been thrown back into my face. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.

"All four samples were originally collected by private citizens who lived in New York City at the time of the tragedy. These citizens came forward and provided samples for analysis..." Not exactly tracable or reliable let alone scientific. "I got it from some guy who said he got it from his laundry room" Don't know much about flyash and its use in concrete, do you?
