  1. Often better to ask forgiveness rather than permission. This is a perfect example. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  2. A while back we had to borrow a specialist from Spain called Mosses, I told my boss to get in touch with his boss to arrange it, my boss thought I was joking when I told him he had to ask a guy called Jesus if he could borrow Mosses! Did he turn out to be a basket case? FYI, Jesus is riding in the 2011 Kentucky Derby aboard Shackleford. 4. Good! maybe this economy will start to turn around despite actions Obama and those like you would put in place. Good jobs come from profitable companies When the company I work for does well not only do I get paid, I get performance incentives Good news Thanks Agreed. While big profits may or may not trickle down to the employees, it is a certainty that lack of profits will. 6. Have you ever handled hydrogen? It has several drawbacks, including: >The shit leaks through everything. A microscopic pinhole that molecules of gasoline or NG could not pass through will empty a hydrogen tank overnight, creating a potential bomb in the process. >In order to carry enough H2 to have a decent range, it needs to be pressurized...a LOT! We're talking 4000+ psi. Once it is in the tank it is safe. Problem is, how do we train millions of idiots how to fill those tanks without blowing themselves up? Regardless of how much crude oil is left it is still a finite amount. It will run out at some point. We can either wait until then to find alternative sources, or we can be proactive and use the existing crude to help find and produce it's replacements. Yes, replacements. No one fuel will replace oil. For example an electric car that will carry a family of four for 300 miles at 75 mph and can be recharged in ten minutes is still a pipedream. The technology just isn't there and won't be in the foreseeable future. Gasoline or diesel will do just fine in that application. But an all electric commuter car that will go 40+ miles between charges at 60 mph can be bought today. Are they perfect? Nope, but they are a hell of a lot better than the ones we had 20 years ago and a 40 mile range meets the commute needs of more than 75% of workers. 8. Why is it so difficult for you to understand that income is defined in the tax code? Just because you wish it not so does not make it not so. Since you think Clinton's "is" defense was a raving success it is easy to see why you are so confused about other matters. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  9. Don't have to. There is no need to define "income" in tax codes. There is, however, an explaination of types of income and what they mean. "income" itself doesn't need to be to be legitimized anymore than the word "the". See, nanook , and this is why you are well ..you.LOL! Not meaning to single you out and obviously even an elite(!) ,a member of the board, an officer of the court is dumbstruck here! That's OK! I , Jim B, am here to enlighten you. I will unravel all this legal mess and leave your bedsheets folded crisply and clean so that tonight you can get a good nights sleep. Now here is an interesting fact; when laws are written it is necessary to also include a table of definitions in the statute because quite often the words in the statute aren't meanin' what you and I would commonly believe them to mean. It's the whole lawyer thing but do you realize that sometimes a corporation could be referred to as a" person"? Yes. that's very true. Bill Clinton based his entire defense on "the meaning of *is*"! When it comes to matters of law definitions are paramount1 So once again for all of you who know so damn much about every friggin' subject and every world situation , can anyone of you show us the definition of "income" within the tax code? Peace, Jim B Dude, there are only two, slightly different, definitions of "income" in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. You may choose tu use the first to base your taxes on, I will use the second. And, no, it is NOT needed to include a definition of each and every word. Clinton's "is" defense was seen for what it was...a desperate attempt to distract the court from it's true course. It didn't work. I challenge YOU to try to get out of paying income tax by claiming the word "income" is not defined in the tax code. People much better versed in the law than you and I will decide your fate. Let us know how it turns out. 12. Makes sense, the US has 10 times the population than Canada has. Still, you have to question people's diets if McPukes is expanding it's work force. Isn't that sad - McJobs, but no manufacturing jobs, or any other jobs. Like a friend of mine in the US recently messaged me: "Ain't nothing here but high gas prices and no jobs." mh . No jobs? Then what are all the "Help Wanted" signs in the windows for? I get calls almost every day from people looking for skilled welders, fabricators, machinists, etc. There are jobs. Lots of jobs. Problem is, people aren't willing to change their lifestyle to adapt. Just a small sample: http://jobs.monster.com/v-manufacturing-q-welding-jobs.aspx HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  13. Of course if the beatings cost the workers $10 the Union could get them for free and would only increase dues by $20 and call it "just compensation for services rendered". 14. whereas billvon would prefer it if all those workers would work for $1 an hour and had no purchasing power at all - that way the corporation makes much more profit yippeee! In contrast to yourself who would like to see everyone earning the exact same wage as everyone else and coporations would operate on a zero profit. 16. Again, it ain't that damn hard if they cooperate. It's when they don't that problems arise and unpredictbility takes over. I think Universal and the cops did the right thing, though the outcome was regrettable. Somebody comes onto a resort property and starts pulling at his own hair and beard he needs to be removed for the safety of the guests. 17. Since products made overseas rival American made goods in quality and can be sold far cheaper for greater profit, there will always be stores importing and selling the stuff. Why should I pay $59.95 for an American made toaster that may last five years when I can buy a Chinese made toaster for $24.95 that will last 10 years? The days of "Made in the USA" meaning "Highest Quality" are gone. If all else were equal i would pay a small, maybe 10%, premium to buy Amaerican...but I, as most people, will not pay 25%-50%-100% more for something that may or may not be as good. Chances are it isn't. 19. So you are saying one cannot live on Walmart wages? I know several people who do just that. See, they live within their means and don't try to buy a Mercedes on a Kia budget. Granted you most likely can't raise a family on those wages, but is it every employers responsibility to pay wages that a person can support a family of four on? I say no, it is not. It is the responsibility of each person to obtain the skills and education needed to get a job that pays the wages they want. 23. Nothin wrong with that. It's a lot more fun to ride with with my wife holding on to me Rather than get a harley, my next bike will most likely be a Victory Cross Country. American made you know.... I'm thinking my next bike will be a non_V-twin, something that will stand out in the crowd. The new Triumph Thunderbird Storm looks fantastic and has had good reviews. Then there is the Triumph Rocket III. Touring edition, of course. But just maybe the Roadster would be fun....

On a better note, Honda is putting in a new transmission plant near Marysville that will create more jobs than were lost when bike production moved out.
