  3. You want to loan money to people without a job? Do you work at a savings & loan or what? Just give 'em the money. That way nobody gets cheated out of repayment. 6. What the hell, people? An agnostic like myself has to come in here and explain your own religion to you? The Bible does not say it took three days for Jesus to rise from the dead. What it DOES say is that he rose and left the tomb on the third day of his death. Friday was the first day, Saturday was the second, and Sunday was the third. 7. Do you really think that is fair? She is, after all, a woman ...and she did regain partial sight in one eye for a short time. He will be unjustly and permanently blinded in both eyes even though his eyes have twice the value of hers. Maybe it would be fair for him to choose which eye is to be blinded and she is allowed to drop acid in the other one! It's comforting to know that the Human Rights Activists are on it though. They have "expressed alarm" and have "warned against an 'inhumane' sentence" ... from afar, of course. OK then, hive him the double dose ... You mean acid in his eyeballs and cut off his "other" balls? I like the way you think. 8. You started it. You questioned my experience on a motorcycle after I pointed out that traffic laws do little to make people drive safer. You are a prime example. Five close calls in one day? And you blame everyone else? People still ignore the law. You are NOT a biker. By your narrow minded definition, probably not. But the rest of the world thinks differently, including me. You wouldn't last one fucking mile with the big boys. You wouldn't be welcomed. Good! I wouldn't want to be. You have so much hate for people. I do? I wonder who it is that has been giving a good chunk of my income to charities each year? Or doing volunteer work? You advocate putting poison in the poison that is already on the streets solely to kill addicts. It was sarcasm. SARCASM. S-A-R-C-A-S-M What kind of black shit flows through your veins? I wouldn't ride with you nor would I even jump with you. You are amongst the worst kind of people I know and even worst. Your hatred towards others is shameful. Sadly your mother did not miscarriage your sad sack ass. And, LOUD PIPES DO SAVE LIVES. Bullshit. It's just another pussy excuse guys like you make up so you can make lots of noise. I believe the medical term is "compensation" Kindly go fuck your yourself with a hot welding rod. Moot? Your hatred for unions is well known. To say that the hard work of the unions to bring change is moot is about as idiotic as anything you have ever posted. Since we were discussing the effects of legislation the causes of the legislation are moot. Oh, I did not post my entire history. I posted the history of the Midwest/St. Louis club scene as it is part of my history and that of others who come to this site. It is also part of the history of Harley-Davidson. I am sure that the hardcore riders on this site will find it to be interesting. I am positive that Gypsy is well aware of the history, but may be unaware of the formation of a segment of the outlaw clubs that rode out of the Midwest. Or, he may be aware as he rode out from this area. Normiss might find it interesting as well Aggie Dave. Don't be so high on your fucking horse to think it was for you. I'll point out that the term "Outlaw Biker" has nothing to do with criminal activity. It is a term imposed upon those who do not abide by the rules and regulations of the A.M.A.. It was also the A.M.A. who started the 1%er classification. P.S. Kindly shove your hate up your ass. Seems you're the one full of hate. Yelling at people from your bike, flipping people off, etc. You know nothing about brotherhood. You have no idea, pal. None. You couldn't stand your ground if your fucked ass was glued to it. Yet you are the one who feels he needs to hang with a crowd for protection. Once again, I don't give a flying fuck about your life or past. Yeah, you're a 1%er alright. One of the 1% who give the other 99% a bad name. That's why I chose not to hang with your type...I grew up. 9. I see the entire problem with the welfare system as being very simple. Very little is done to differentiate between those who can not work and those who will not work. They have "expressed alarm" and have "warned against an 'inhumane' sentence" ... from afar, of course. Well, they are restricting the acid to his eyes. When he threw acid on her he covered her face, neck and hands while she was fully conscious. And it's not like there is doubt about his guilt. She identified him, he turned himself in and confessed. 11. Why do you post your entire riding/gang member history? It has nothing to do with the debate and I really don't give a fuck about your lifestyle. Maybe an attempt to justify giving a very narrow definition to the word "biker" that fits what you think it should be? Guess what...being a biker is not defined by what make of bike you ride, where you live, how much you make, what clothes you wear, or who you hang out with. Do I consider myself to be a biker? Yep. But I'm not affiliated with any club or gang, I don't wear leather to fit in, I wear it because it's the best overall protection, I wear a helmet 90% of the time, I don't drink beer very often and I like puppies and kittens. I think helmet laws for young and/o ineperienced riders are a good thing and I think the slogan "Loud Pipes Save Lives" is the biggest line of bullshit since the rodea hit town. Sure the unions have been behind the push for most legislation that brought about major changes in workplace conditions, but that is moot. The point is that legislation is what brought about the change. Without that the unions may as well have been yelling into a coffee can. 12. "I mean they are the ones who caused a nose candy wacky weed aficionado who was so afraid of getting caught military duty that he did not even show up for his flight physical lied though his teeth and then deserted hid... to then be elected governor of Texas Arkansas and President of the United States. Past performance showed just how fucked up in the head he is but they morons still voted for him." Works both ways, Darlin'. 14. I've been riding over 30 years. Never needed a patch on my back or to wear colors. I've always been able to stand on my own, thank you very much. You had more close calls in one day than I've had my entire life. I suggest you work on situational awareness. And anger managment. Back to legislation. Just where do you think mine safety would be today if not for legislation forcing change? What of food safety? USDA inspections of processing plants, etc. are a result of legislation, not daydreams. Virtually every aspect of our lives is better now than 100 years ago because of laws and regulations that require the products and actions of people and corporations to meet minimum standards. You say legislation never has and won't solve problems. I say it has and does all the time. You just refuse to see it. 15. You really have no clue how good things are today compared to times past. Neither the mining nor meat industries are perfect, but the problems with them are miniscule compared to what they were 100 years ago thanks to LEGISLATION. Sounds to me like your problems with traffic start mostly behind the handlebars. I've put almost 2000 miles on my bike in the last month, mostly in the rain, on everything from narrow country roads to 8 lane interstates and had no problems at all, not even in town. Funny how some people have all the problems, isn't it? 16. Sure we can...and have. One example: We used to have a problem with mine owners creating dangerous working conditions for miners. Thanks to legislation that huge problem has been mostly eliminated. One more: We used to have a problem of meat that was unfit for human consumption intentionally being sold to unsuspecting customers. Legislation has turned that around so that today it is a rare event when an unsafe cut of meat is sold. Eliminating a law just because people break it doesn't eliminate the problems associated with the act whether legal or not. Just because people speed doesn't mean we don't need speed limits. 17. Thought? Ok, here's one. If we are going to ban certain drugs then let's stop pussy-footing around. To hell with catching the importers & dealers. They will only be replaced before they spend one night in jail at taxpayer expense. No, what we need to do is reduce the demand to as close to zero as we can. "How" you ask? Easy! We intercept drug shipments. Size doesn't matter, an ounce or a ton, just intercept them but without the trafficers knowledge. Then we randomly spike the entire catch with Warfarin. Won't be long until nobody will touch anything they didn't grow or make themselves and all the hardcore junkies are dead. Of course we could just legalize it all and tax the livin' shit out of it. 18. If the muzzle velocity is exactly the speed of sound you will always hear the gun first, then the bullet. The bullet starts to lose velocity as soon as it leaves the barrel. 19. That only works when at relatively long distances from ground zero. If you are close enough your brain is vaporized before it can process the impulse from the optic nerve. No flash, no bang, no pain. You merely cease to exist. 21. Could be he was just a piss-poor shot and was shooting about 60 feet high. A long time ago I watched a man stop his truck, get out, look at me through his binoculars. Since it was deer season I figured he was making sure I wasn't a deer. WRONG! He was making sure I WAS! Lucky for me his aim was as bad as his eyesight. From about 300 yds he missed by about twenty gaziilion feet to both sides. He got off 3 rounds before my screaming like a girl got his attention and he hurried on down the road. I will NEVER forget the sound of a rifled deer slug whizzing by. 22. Depends on a lot of factors. You can hear a 2500 fps .30 cal bullet from several yards, a .22 subsonic has to be DAMN close. Some rifled shotgun slugs make a very distinctive whizzing noise you really don't want to be close enough to hear. 23. Really? My humanity is every bit as sound now as it was before University. During one semester I was on the Dean's List (the good list), recieved a $2000 grant from the Technologies dept., placed 2nd in the English departments short story fiction contest, and was invited to display a series of B&W photos...all as a result of the classes I took that semester. All electives, none were required. Courses included a writing class, a photography class, two math classes and two engineering classes. I never saw a liberal arts major in any of my math, science, or engineering classes during my entire college career. Still think my humanity suffered? 25. Imagine a young person who just left University with a large chunk of debt in student loans. Now add in a modest loan for a decent used car, living expenses, sending mom & pop a few bucks a month to help them out, etc. Now tack on a lease on an average apartment where they most likely live alone. Fo most people on an entry level college grad job there isn't much left over to save. It may take them 5-10 years to get rid of enough debt to start saving for your 20% down payment, then another 5-10 years to have the money saved up. There is nothing wrong with a 0 down loan as long as the home is valued at the amount loaned, and the borrower is capable of making the payments. Where problems arise is when lenders start loaning out funds to people unable to repay or have a bad track record on repayment. I personally know people who are giving up a lot to pay off their mortgage even though the home is no longer vlued anywhere near what they owe on it, and I know a couple cowards who are fully capable of making their payments but chose instead to walk away and allow the bank to foreclose just because they didn't want to continue paying on a devalued home. 20% down? Sure, in some cases. But 0% down can be perfectly acceptable in many cases as well.
