Our God is an an awesome God, He Reigns...

Yeah. Maybe we should start our own religion and worship a farmer with a dog named B-I-N-G-O. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUDZiu_SVzw HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. -

'The fittest'? If AIDS is a culling mechanism then in general it culls people who are more likely to catch AIDS. Kinda raises the question why you would consider gay people and africans as less fit? I surmise that societies most likely to survive and reproduce are those that structure there culture along the lines of preexisting spiritual and physical laws of nature. It is my opinion that civilizations favoring strong monogamous family units and communities would be more prosperous. Hedonism is narcissistic and self destructive no matter how some like to say otherwise. ... Nature disagrees with you. The most versatile, fastest reproducing and largest species groups are those that are not monogamous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BigHGSqg68E so you dont want to hear about my good song? and you dont want to hear about how i am getting on with all the things that i can get done the sun is in the sky & i am by my lonesome so you don't want to hear about my good day? you have better things to do than to hear me say god its been a lovely day! everything is going my way i took out the trash today and i'm on fire... so you don't want to hear about my good friends? you dont have the guts to take the truth or consequence success is in the eye of the beholder and its looking even better over your cold shoulder i'm not suggesting you up and line me up for questioning but jesus think about the bridges you are burning and i'm betting that even though you knew it from the start you'd rather be a bitch than be an ordinary broken heart so go ahead and talk about your bad day... i want all the details of the pain and misery that you are inflicting on the others i consider them my sisters and i'd like their numbers god its been a lovely day! everything is going my way i took up croquet today and i'm on fire i picked up the pieces of my broken ego i have finally made my peace as far as you and me go but i'd love to have you up to see the place & i'd like to do more than survive i'd like to rub it in your face..... hey! its been a lovely day! everything is going my way i had so much fun today and i'm on fire god it's been a lovely day everything's been going my way ever since you went away hey i'm on fire..... i'm on fire... i'm on fire... so you dont want to hear about my good day? Now if that ain't the most hypocritical thing I have read all week. I express my concern for the millions of people who die from natrual disasters every year and the terrible suffering and deaths of children....and you post some lyrics proposing that I will burn in some hell for being selfcentered. At the same time you, being more concerned with your stupid idea of some eternal punishment, are perfectly willing to write off all that sufeering as the will of some imaginary creator. So, tell me again, who is selfish? Me for being concerned about others? Or you for worrying about some hell after death? Your excused, death and AIDS is one of the culling mechanisms that ensures survival of the fittest. Once the soul leaves the body it is in God's hands. Evolution is not survival of the fittest. It is survival of those most capable of reproducing. The soul leaves the body? Prove it. -

If that is the case then why attribute random acts of violence to someone or something you can't understand? And why get upset with those who can see God for what He is? I don't attribute them to any god...you do. See "God" for what he really is? I do. I see your "god" as an irrational figment of your ancestors' imagination passed down from generation to generation. Or maybe God doesn't share your viewpoint that His job is to maximize pleasure and minimize pain. Maybe there are other values that are more relevant than the utopian existence. It only stands to reason that my viewpoint is not shared by someone or something that does not exist. Yeah, that's a pretty awesome god. Makes innocent children suffer, brings plagues and famine, fire, hurricanes, tornades, floods, etc. to destroy lives by the millions. Yep, pretty fucking awesome. Just out of curiousity, were you quoting King George II or Abraham Lincoln? Both of those represented the majority view. This is really just one dude being an asshat and absolutely doesn't represent the majority view. Drawing the comparison may seem logical to people that haven't considered the ramifications of revolution or separatist movements, but unless the guy is actually willing to start a war and die for his cause, it should be obvious he's simply grandstanding. George and Abe did represent the majority view, just as your comment does. But it doesn't make it right, does it? I'm sure he feels he is just as right as you feel you are. He probably even thinks the same of you as you do him. Maybe he is willing to start a war and die for his cause. In both American revolutions the majority didn't think the minority would ever start a war, but they were wrong. Right or wrong, your comment could very easily be attributed to either George or Abe. In addition to reduced hearing and vision consider the lost stimuli which gives one the sense of "I'm going so damn fast I could die! Full face helmets block the *wind on the face * effect. Another problem with helmets is that on hot days the rider isn't able to shed heat as nature intended(through the top of the head) . This can cause serious fatique and even lead to heat stroke. The greatest argument against helmet laws in my opinion is that most testing of helmets isn't done with full body cadavers but instead with just head forms. To prove that a helmet is safe testing must be done with full body(imo). Dale Earnheart wore a helmet. It killed him. What did Dale say just before the accident? "Look Ma, no Hans!" In 1993 the Cleveland Indians lost two pitchers during spring training after the 150 H.P. speed boat they were in collided with a three-foot-high wooden dock in Clermont Florida's Little Lake Nellie at a speed estimated to be ~60 mph. One was decapitated, the other died the next morning in Orlando with a badly shattered skull. It wasn't the lack of safety helmets that killed them. The autopsies showed that death was due to pier pressure. Dale Earnhardt's death was not caused by his helmet. Your assumption is based on the early reports of a basal skull fracture...which he did not have. He died from blunt trauma to the head, caused by several contributing factors. So what makes you so sure he would not have broken his neck even without a helmet? Even if it did contribute to his death, the extremely rare instance where it may cause harm is far outwieghed by the thousands of lives that area saved by helmets. Do you know of the hangmans' noose? Yep. It was used by executioners to hang people. How is that relevent? I think he's referring to a cervical fracture known as a "hangman's fracture", which some believe can be caused by the cervical spine flexing against the fulcrum of the edge of a helmet. It's the type of injury, for example, which was Dale Earnhardt's cause of death. It's a specious argument: that something that has a 99% chance of helping you also has a 1% of hurting you - so that 1% is the reason why you don't use it. It's like the old "thrown clear of the danger" argument that some people use against seat belts: 99% of the time, it's a crock of shit. To Dan: if you have hard data to cite, then cite it. Hmmm...interesting. I still hope he posts the whole story. Seems I heard a similar tale many years ago of a rider who went doen and his helmet caught on a guardrail, breaking his neck. Seems moot considering what would have happened to his head without the helmet. 1 - even if true, it's hardly justification to not wear a helmet - it's justification to absolutely wear one since this is out of the operator's control 2 - hard to give right away to some idiot on a public road flying along a 60mph road at 90 mph down the center stripe instead of in his own lane - no matter how extreme he thinks he is (yes, I'm cynical because I see more idiotic motorcycle driving in my area at least than typical lately - --- since gas prices went up) edit: and yes, these idiots comprise a really small percentage of most motorcyclists - but they are ruining it for the rest of us Yes, If you research the data I'm certain you will find the vast majority of motorcycle accidents are the fault of an automobile driver failing to yield the right of way. Instead of mandatory helmets perhaps we should outlaw cars. Perhaps riders should accept the FACT that, chances are, they will lay down their bike at some point. And, chances are, they will strike their head on something. Maybe hard, maybe just a bump. I lost a good friend about 25 years ago when he lost control and ended up in a field. Not a scratch on him, but he had a severe closed head injury. Laid in a coma for two weeks before they unplugged him and let him pass. His passenger? Busted all to hell. Ribs. Leg. Both arms. Road rash. But he left the hospital before Mike's body. HE was wearing a helmet. The difference was that Mike was thrown clear and ended up in a field where his head hit something, probably a rock. His buddy was trapped under the bike. Personally I don't care if you wear a lid or not. Sometimes I don't, but usually do. But don't feel you have to justify not wearing one. Just say "I don't want to". It works for me. Sounds like a likely chain of events. And one doesn't even have to think very hard to see it happening that way. Gotta give the defense credit. They didn't have to prove an accidental drowning, just plant a seed of doubt and let the prosecution water it enough to grow, which they did. "The courts" didn't acquit her. A jury made up of people who likely know very little about "the courts" did. If what you are saying is that juries are more lenient, you may have a point, but my reply was addressed to what you said, not what you may have meant. Either way you want to interpret my statement, it's still valid. Oh Well... just look at it this way.... Nancy Grace's blood pressure just went into overload..... as she is having a hissy fit and birthin a COW I am pretty sure she is upset she did not manage to get this one to commit suicide too I'll admit that I am replying without watching the clips. I cannot stand that dumb bitch N.G. My gut says the girl killed her daughter. But the prosecution presented a very weak case based largely on her actions while her daughter was missing. Fortunately, in the USA, we do not send people to jail for life just because they don't display the emotions we consider normal in a given circumstance. N.G. was railroading this girl from day one. Thank God she is on TV and not in a courtroom. Sure, a few people are hiring, but not enough people to seriously dent the unemployment rate. Further, not every job gives the same preference to hiring everybody. Lemme give you a for instance. There is currently a $9,000 tax credit for hiring certain people as long as they meet certain qualifications. Now, I'm not begrudging those people a job; not at ALL. However, if I were were to apply for the exact same minimum wage job, there's a good chance I'd be out of luck because, let's be honest here, why the hell would anyone hire one guy for a minimum wage position when they can hire another guy AND receive a $9,000 tax break? That is across the board corporate welfare for companies that hire minimum wage workers AND fucks over people outside of the bracket of people that qualifies. Right now it's a buyer's market. Employers can be and are being incredibly cheap with labor. They KNOW that just around the corner is another guy begging for even a crappy minimum wage job and if they can hire somebody and have the government pick up 1/3 of their annual wage, why the hell not pick that guy over another guy that doesn't qualify. What that means is, if you're NOT a part of that group, you're pretty well fucked in the minimum wage market. This is WAY more complex than saying people JUST need to go out and get a job. Barnes & Nobel job application. See page 3. Sure there are those types of jobs and employers. But their numbers are small compared to the rest of the market. Face it, Quade. People are lazy and our government encourages and supports it. Legal or not, tax dollars are being used for other than living expenses. That is a slap to the face of the taxpayer. Why should Joe Taxpayer support those who would rather drink all day? The same goes for people who rather use drugs. Tax dollars should not support addictions to alcohol, drugs, food... Tax dollars should be used to screen recipients and then to treat those who are able to get well enough to go back to work. Simply dumping people who have substance abuse/mental health problems onto the streets will create a greater problem for the agencies (namely, the police departments) that will, ultimately, have to address the problem. They will need a bigger budget in order to do so. We all know how Reagan's policy to dump the mentally ill onto the streets went. Increase in crime, overworked police, clogged courts, and overcrowding in the prison system. It's a good idea if used to treat the problems that got them there in the first place. It's a bad idea if all it does is put people out onto the street. The government should not support those who flat out refuse to work. There will always be that small section in society that prefer skid row. On the other-hand, we, as a people, have a responsibility to support those who cannot work, or who want to work, but have problems that are barriers. Again, I am for the testing if the results are used to identify the barriers and to get over those barriers. I am against any program that will push a problem off on another department. There is no cost savings in doing such. I am for the drug tests because people coillecting welfare should be abiding by the laws of the country and state that is giving them money. Weed and crack are illegal. What about that concept is so difficult for you to comprehend? Make consumption of alcohol illegal and I'll agree to testing for it as well. "The government should not support those who flat out refuse to work. There will always be that small section in society that prefer skid row." I agree 100%. Problem is, liberals refuse to allow any method of culling that segment out for fear of losing that voting demographic. Even if I believed you, which BTW I don't because who the fuck counts shit like that, what you're saying is you found 1 job every 3.5 miles. I don't know where the heck you live, but the population density around my house is a bit higher than that and wouldn't even begin to put a dent in the unemployment rate. I was counting because I knew it would make good fodder for SC. No kidding. Mix of urban and rural riding. Businesses hiring ranged from fast food joints to hardware stores to manufacturing facilities hiring skilled labor. We have created a society that says it is ok to refuse jobs because you feel they are beneath you. We not only say it is ok, we support the idea. Instead of a worker getting laid off and being able to collect unemployment because he said he couldn't find a job and was able to get a handful of people to say he applied for work at their establishments, we should be offering that man a job at whatever joint needs help. If he doesn't want the work...fine. No unemployment benefits for him. It's bullshit that there are places hiring, regardless of number, when people are collecting checks from the government.
