    Damn I know I'm gonna catch hell for this, but here goes... Justifying homosexual activity as being "normal" because animals do it is a losing battle. Some animals kill their young, eat their own feces, torture other animals for their own amusement, have homosexual relations in front of crowds of people in public places, etc. Doesn't mean it's ok for humans to follow suit. I believe sexual relations between consenting adults is their own business and nobody elses.     Interesting generalities. But they are just that. There are exceptions to both sides, such as liberals being on a quest to destroy gun rights and the rights of the unborn where conservatives have a strong history of upholding these rights. Workers rights are tough to place within either party. On one hand you have the right of the workers to unionize, but on the other hand unions destroy the rights of the individual worker to bargain for himself. I believe, like you, that both liberals and conservatives are needed for a successful government and society. Liberals to work to bring about change, and conservatives to make sure change is for the right reasons and not just for the sake of change. The person in front of me set off the alarm but the employee only saw me. He grabbed my arm, I pulled away and asked why he grabbed me. No cops involved, nobody in pain, no charges filed and I was out of there in 60 seconds once I walked through the detector again and showed I did not set it off.     That line pretty much sums it up. Those parking lots have nice signs saying not to leave valuables in the car, and of course any items stolen are your own problem. Treat your customers as potential criminals, and there will be consequences. I got a 57" screen, a player for every type of HD media, and a couch that lets my legs go straight. Sounds like you have reached a good compromise with the management. They don't have to worry about what you may have in any bags you are carrying in, and you don't have to worry about whether allowing them to search those bags is a condition of entry.     One of the most valuable friends I made in college was a rank-and-file English professor. She was always willing to give advice on projects, essays, and reports that I was required to write all through my college career. Try to make an appointment to visit an English prof at the college you are applying to or the one where you recieved your AA. You want them to have the special right of going against the California state constitution and the California Supreme court to change the definition of marriage even though it has been set by Prop.8, which passed by a simple majority and has been upheld. THAT special right. There is a procedure for changing the law and I am 100% in favor of it being done.
