"It was recording with lines across the screen and pixelating some images." Sounds like dirty heads, which the cleaner should have fixed. Seems obvious but have you checked the cables? Spring fever has struck in Kincardineshire. Car detailed? New car, Audi A4 Avant 2.5 Tdi plenty room for dawgs and bairns. House cleaned? New house (new to me 160 years old) in a wee village, no more big city blues for me. What passes for a yard is full of winter debris and the snow is just about gone. Garage...its full of junk from the move, sorting it out this weekend. My old Monarch is gonna come in handy as a dust cover. Just finished hooking up wireless internet and wireless video. Waiting for my digital decoder and hard drive video recorder (Sky+ system) to arrive and I'll be a happy bunny. Its worth the move...I'm half an hour closer to the DZ and the wee man's grandparents for babysitting. I can't wait for summer, spring is too strenuous.

Spring mini project time. I want to get an external firewire (1394a) DVD burner. Am going 1394a due to compatibility with my existing firewire setup being 1394a as opposed to the faster 1394b or USB2. I'll either buy an internal drive and shove it in a standard case/bridge combo or get something off the shelf (Lacie or similar). Anything to look out for? What's hot and what's not? What is good software for DVD mastering (menus etc)? What kind of suit were you wearing Ivan? I used to use Symbi suits when I was wearing wings, and they have those little fastex snaps that you can pop off really quickly. Not all camera suits have the big wings that come down and attach below the legstraps. Try another DZ as Clay suggested, maybe even a boogie somewhere else. Or take a month off, go try something else for a while then come back and make one more jump. Then make your mind up. "But wakes up each time I put him back in his crib." Cradle him your arms and gently rock him till he smiles, then put him in the crib and tickle/stroke his cheeks and chin. Get used (him and you) to putting him down before he falls asleep Sit with him and read from a book, any old book will do (Pat Works's VRW book even worked for the Mininac), its the sound of your voice that works. Having wee hanging mobile thingies that fit onto the side of the crib seemed to help too. I got some glow in the dark stars and moons which I stuck on the ceiling above the wee fella's crib, dunno if they did anything but they look cool as hell in the dark. I hung a Hoberman sphere in the room too

Get a Jack knife or equivalent Raptor (big handle, big opposed blades), typical knives are here. Not sure if you have to consider the blast in isolation. I reckon there might be some sort of natural nuclear winter caused by dust in the atmosphere etc. Another ice age? A whole new kick start to the eveolution of life on the planet? Dunno. Haggis may just pull through.... And Gerbils of course.
