    Hmmm, didn't I read somewhere that camera fliers in the US must have Firewire/iLink/IEEE1394 compatible cameras if they want to jump in national comps?? Although these cams are, they do not really comply with the spirit of this requirement. It would suck to be limited in this way, especially if you are considering travelling. There are also issues with DV editing on these systems, which may be in the process of being resolved. I don't believe the quality is "similar" to the recent PC120 cams, but I'm going on what I believe to be the case with the on-board compression systems.
