More or less right Gadget, PAL and SECAM are kinda compatible, for our purposes they are comp. NTSC is not compatible with PAL or SECAM. NTSC has a different frame rate (number of pictures per second) NTSC has 30-ish frames per second, PAL has 25. You can still get PAL cams from the US, but you will have to order them specifically as such. You can buy dual standard TVs and VCRs, most modern European equipment is now dual standard. Clean my what? Flex huh? During jumping season every 4 weeks, off season (or when I am away, or not jumping for any reason) when the beastie is sat on top of the wardrobe, nope. " I'm assuming Hook and the lads are talking about a Cypres that has outlived its design life, eg one which is older than 12 yrs and 3 months. Beyond this time period (time starts from date of first installation I believe, and runs regardless of use, etc). The cypres will still function (it just won't be guaranteed, or sufficiently reliable, it won't turn into a pumpkin or something else), its just that no rigger worth his/her salt will pack a reserve with an out of date cypres, so they are basically worthless, until we can find a use for them.... I gather Hook wants to try and fire one under severe canopy flight conditions, Billvon wants to cut one up and play with it (read torture it) in his dungeon, I want to attach one to some water weight bags and a tube. Is that the one with the bean bag frogs? If so, its not the trophy that counts, its the honour, and the fact that your team is without a doubt the coolest, vibeyest (?), downright nicest group of people in the comp. Which in my mind is what skydiving competitions are all about.
