"This function is not available on the PC3...." All is not lost Czechbase dude, go here. http://www.datavision.co.uk/widgetlist.aspTHe "widget" enables input of DV to your PC3. I have one for my old PC7 and it works fine. There are alternatives available, just google for "DV in enable". -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "I have very little time for racists and assholes. Jumper or not." Yeah I spose your right, Remi, but I have enough on my plate dealing with bigotry and assholes at work. When I'm at the DZ I try and chill and not let stuff get in the way of my all too rare and precious 'Me Time'. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Nope, and neither does your poiltical persuasion, sexual preference, or country of origin. I don't even care if you are into CREW, style, accuracy, or can't get off static lines. If you jump, thats all that matters, everything else is background noise.

Yep I started on aeroconicals for my first dozen or so. I've chopped and been under round reserves twice, tiny phantoms and I'm not tiny...... Not something I'd by choice these days, but if it was round or ground.......I'd be okay with it. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. My boss recently announced that he didn't want to know how I filled my days, as long as I kept on 'delivering what the client wants' Post whoring is a right, not an abuse of trust in my opinion..... Downloading loads of vid via a fast internet connection, then burning it to CD on works time is one major perk. I cut my hair on work time, cos it grows on work time! I eat on work time, cos I get hungry on work time! etc..... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Hey Derek. Can slider size, design, and packing method significantly alter fast/slow openings. One way I used to tame my Angry Butterfly (monarch) was to pull more of the slider out at the front, dunno if this was urban myth or real. Cheers. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. What's the memory capacity of a mini DV tape?
nacmacfeegle replied to Deuce's topic in Photography and Video
"I'm wondering how long it's going to be before we have a CompactFlash DV camcorder. " I have no doubt the storage capacity will continue to increase at a reasonably satisfying rate! -
You should have a prog called media cleaner on the premiere disc, even if it wasn't installed, do it now. It will help. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "I would like something that can print a sellable print up to A4 in size direct from a memcard." I got a nice Cannon from PCWorld for about 190 quid, which is just tip top and tickety boo. Gurny and Grumpy love their A4s of Mininac. It prints from all the normal memory cards, and also direct from my digital Ixus (I don't jump it, its just a fun cam), so no PC required, but it does equally well with a PC appended. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. The gum really helps control the craving if thats any use. Its a good idea to keep some handy, especially at work. Stick with it, you know it makes sense.

I was at the bridge when they were filming the swoop sequences with Bruno and Ritchie back in september-ish '99. Patrick filmed quite a lot of stuff in 16mm, which probably explains the depth and vibrancy of the colours. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Y'all gotta watch out where those Huskies go... -
Probably not, the laptop shows everything the cam sees, whereas most domestic TVs crop out a surprising amount of the periphery. If I was at home I could show you, but I don't have premiere here at work. edit to add>more about this here....http://www.creativemac.com/2002/12_dec/tutorials/fcpqt13.htm -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "Perhaps you should get a low profile wide angle lens to get rid of the vignette? " If the vignetting doesn't show up on your TV or in the title safe area in the Premiere preview, I wouldn't sweat it. "I must say that the staff at the centre have made me and my husband most welcome and I would like to thank them for all their help, guidance, encouragement and support. " Ah, Brunton, AKA Trumpton. Did I ask you for a gear check?
nacmacfeegle replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
"unsolicited check on jump run by a total stranger is not in the same category." Hence.... "different situation to jump run pin checks". "Yeah I was looking for more information last night on the SC-7 Sky van but couldn't find it" Google for 'shorts skyvan' there should be heaps out there. They were built in the mid 60s by Shorts Brothers of Belfast I believe. It has a little brother called a skyliner I jumped one at Netheravon in England about ten years ago. Smaller but still a tailgate, I had the odd sensation of 'jumping through a slot' to exit, but I was very much younger! There are also a couple of Skyvan-esque passenger planes that regularly fly into my local airport (Dyce-Aberdeen) dunno if they are related... shorts 360, a distant cousin. I like them, but I have a taste for the eccentric things in aviation.... on the subject of eccentric aviation and Skyvans, have you searched for 'Pink Skyvan'? -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "It fills up faster than you might think unless you only take about 5 mins. of video. " Yes I know, a good rule of thumb is 4 minutes per gig. The difference here is that Dave doesn't need a whole load of storage, I know he has a massive amount of MP3s, but you just don't need instant access to 900 tunes if you are running a commercial video service. "Soon I will be moving tandem freefall clips to a dvd+rw for storage" It makes much more sense to chuck them back onto DV tape. Its cheaper, and easier to store. For what its worth, I've made a couple of 30 minute 'commercial' movies at full Mini DV resolution and CD quality sound (in my mind theres no point in working with lower res and crappy sound) with only about 20 gig for storage. You just have to be more selective at the footage acquisition stage.... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
