That is your opinion - just because it was never a known factor - but there were air drop by 727's in Vietnam. TWO confessions - who but Duane ever made a confession? If you are speaking of what Gossett said to the Judge you had better re-read it. He did not admit to being Dan Cooper and since the Judge was well known in the Union picture as is Galen Cook - this might be something you and others are missing. The wording as given by the Judge - after all of these yrs is supposed to be exactly as Gossett said it - I found it VERY STRANGE that COOK would make Gossett's meeting with the judge coincide just after Duane's nightmare about the prints (which I had explained in DETAIL to COOK). So Cook has Gossett going to a judge a few months later about leaving prints on the plane - but the problem here -what exactly did that judge remember - It behooves me that Gossett would actually say to the Judge - I may have left my prints on the plane. Use some common sense - if Gossett was indeed worried about that - the last person he would say that to is a JUDGE, but Gossett could have inquired - to the JUDGE about a friend or someone he knew might have been involved, but to say to the JUDGE that HE was afraid HE left HIS PRINTS on the plane is absolute fantasy. Anyone with a lick of common sense should be able to see thru this - A JUDGE is bound by LAW. What that JUDGE did with that statement is put himself in the position of aiding and abetting if Gossett did indeed say HE was afraid HE left prints on the plane. If the Son's thought their father was Cooper - WHY did they wait until he died and Galen Cook was looking for a subject? They had a life time to confront their father, but they wait until he dies. Tonight I was going over some old files and there was an OLD email from Cook - at that time 2004 he was demanding the address of Tina and Mitchell - he was not asking he was demanding...he must really be a hot-shot attorney (tongue in cheek) if he couldn't find either one of them at that time and wanted some little old woman to give it to him. When Cook contacted me by phone is was always one of the calling card deals - strange thing for an attorney to use and yet, he wants information from me. It took several yrs before I got an actual phone number and I am not sure he gave that to me...I had tracked him down several yrs ago and then again with the aid of someone in this forum I re-affirmed what I knew and found out even more. Infact it was refreshing and enforced my belief even more that Duane was Cooper - I was forced to revisit some old things regarding Duane's past and others. Just one little thing causes many memories to flood back - sometimes individuals should know when to put up or hold em. A long time ago maybe in the other thread I mentioned JMWAVE - Snowwman - you know how to find it. I tried to scan a photo tonight, but my scanner is not working or I deleted the hardware so I couldn't do it. Hey, guys lets talk about my experiment - regarding a drop into the Columbia. Anyone have any ideas on this? We cannot read inflections in a forum like we can on the phone or inperson. We should have fun with this as we go. Put yourselves in my position for a week - everyone thinks I am crazy or making all of this up, but I know I am sane and that I am telling the truth. Georger, you yourself - made a statement in a recent post I could have taken serious offense too - but, until someone proves Duane WAS NOT Cooper I just roll along and I take the punches. I know who Cooper was and maybe someday the world will know. If the forces will be that will be - No one will ever know who Cooper was just as we will never know who killed Dorothy Killgallen - but the forces that be say she committed suicide. QUESTION: What happens to a Gyromatic when you are flying near the BTG VOR under 10,000 ft.?????????? Since the gyroscope is used in guidance systems I want to hear what the two of you have to say about this...as I am sure between the two of you I will get a good answer. 377 - you were very interested in Duane's knowledge of CB's in a PM. Could not a gyroscope fit into this in another way.......? A simple watch may be how he knew when the plane was approaching the VOR. With the expandable band it would have been high up under his jacket sleeve to avoid detection or in his pocket if it needed to have been held in a certain way. There was no mention by the stewardess of Cooper wearing a watch or looking at a watch...I find that ODD. This man might have been facing his last hours on this earth and he ddidn't look to see what time it was or how long he was on the ground or how long it was taking to refuel. In reference to the LOST BUTTS: I really hope everyone is reading this: It has been implied that Agent Carr (Ckret) has stated that the cigarette butts have not been lost. Why would the FBI take an item that has multiple particial DNA to include or exclude a suspect when they have the Butts at their disposal. Gimme a break! If these butts are in Reno then they need to produce them NOW and not another 30 some odd yrs from now. Ckret now is the time to speak the truth or forever hold your piece - and a definite apology is owed to me by the FBI. Besides the tie there is a watch that need explaining - ONE black faced:

That IS NOT what Agent Ralph Hope and Ckret have admitted they do NOT know where the butts are - it stand to reason - if they did they could have produced them long ago and the DNA would have been extracted from those rather than a tie they are not certain belonged to Cooper. If that is the truth - then this is the most inept FBI that has ever existed. It means I have been lied to by FBI agent Ralph Hope and his superior.

The above quote by Snowmman is a positive. The FBI has answered that for us already. Yes, they lost evidence - the cigarette butts. They do not have the Rodeway Interview of the night clerk, that too has been discarded. All we have are his recollections and statement made 37 yrs later, which as 377 has pointed out - can be altered over time. He chose not to contact the FBI in 2001 when he read the article in the Oregonian by Margie Boule, because of his job or other concernes. Most people prefer not to be come involved with the media or as a witness - as it has negative conclusions - I speak from experience. He did contact me thru Margie Boule on a confidencial basis. We both were careful to check each other out. All of these yrs I have yet to divulge this person except to the FBI, but he decided last yr to do it of his own free will. The FBI obviously was not interested in interviewing him while he was in the States, but he is making his statement in a written accounting although his name will be withheld to the public and only available to the FBI. His first rough graft had somethings twisted around which he caught on his own and he has not been coached or instructed to make the written statement. This is coming of his own free will and the ex-wife vouches for his story. If you were interviewed by the FBI on your job at a hotel on a Thanksgiving day regarding a skyjacking, you would have reason to remember it. He was a young man in 1971 and when the FBI did not contact him a second time he assumed nothing checked out. When he picked up the Oregonian in 2001 (could be 2000) he saw the picture of Duane Weber and he knew that was the man named John Collins who checked into the hotel the night before the crime occurred. He remembered it because it is not everyday someone is questioned about a crime of this nature - it was forever imbedded into his mind, but put into the past until the day he saw a photo of Duane in the Oregonian (by the way I do NOT know which picture she used). He recalled what the FBI told him when they talked to him on Thanksgiving day and what he said - the name of the man was John Collins and he signed in as John Collins. Why would he remember that name - because at the time "Cooper" checked in a conversation ensued - regarding the quest's inquiry about the bar and the resulting comments about the drink "Tom Collins". The guest asked for a late wake-up call and that is not a usual thing at an airport, I suppose. He did not know how the man arrive, but got the impression at a later date that someone might have been with him - since this is not something he knew for certain he is leaving it out his statement. He sent me an email regarding this about a yr ago and I shared it with the FBI to no avail. He will now be making a formal statement regarding his interview with the FBI on Thanksgiving day. I asked him how he could know how tall he was. The gentleman is 6ft 1inches himself and since 6 ft was not the averagel height in 1971 as he was looking directly at him. I vouch for 6 ft not being the norm as I was 5' 7" in high school. Myself and another classmate always had to stand in the back row with the guys in group pictures. Only 2 or 3 of the guys where taller than she and I - (she was a little taller than I). Ckret knows I called him last yr when the guy was in the States - but the FBI did NOT contact him. I was told to instruct the man to contact them (the FBI). The witness was only here for a few weeks. The FBI was not interested enough to make an effort on their own and perhaps Ckret didn't have time with the media attention regarding his going public and since this witness was putting Duane in Portland the night before the crime was committed. I got the dates all messed up like everyone else does. The 23rd was Tuesday night, Thanksgiving Eve was the 24th and Thanksgiving day was the 25th. If Ckret disqualified the man and myself on this he made a very bad choice. It had been 36 yrs. and now going on 37 yrs. Strange as it may sound I know where I was on Thanksgiving day in 1971 and who I shared it with - and it was NOT a family affair. Odd to me that I remembered that just as I was finishing this up. l . It would be mighty nice of the FBI to help me with this little experiment by putting a tracking device into the package. I have to give the finder an incentive to turn the 1$"s in for a reward, therefore the bulk of the package has to be made up of something else. I am sure the FBI has old counterfit bills laying around that could be marked or dyed to keep them from being circulated - a notice printed on them that would make them non-negotiable - heck they do things like this all the time don't they? I am putting 300 bills to take to WA. I need to know what to use for the paper money - There will be good money in the package that can be turned in for a reward, but if it will break apart. Someone tell me what fabric or paper will behave more like the material our biill are made of. I know l you all think it is crazy and I suppose it is , but the devil is makng me do it. I will have 9 one dollar bills in the 3 packets, with a reward of $20 for each bill they find. Help me here - to find the fabric for the other bills so I can get them cut. and packaged. I am really going to do this, This trip is something I have to do to be able to put this down or go forward. I reallly believe that someone is still alive in the area that Duane had some contact with. I just have to go and hand out flyeres in the right places. Thank You, I was saying that Cook hounded me for yrs - I am not too good at choosing my words sometimes. His using a story about the fingerprint scare in the same time frame as Duane's dream about leaving prints on the aft stairs - well, that beat all. This and a couple of other things that I Know he "borrowed" from what I have been saying was enough for me. One of these of course is an explanation for the money being in the river. Wonder if he needs one of the keys in Duane's junk box.

Wedding in Kentucky? Aren't you in CA.? Didn't you know that I was born and raised in KY. Graduated from high school there and also attended college there. Note the name of a former Governor - we are related. I have immediate family members who hold positions in the State Offices. I noticed that also and wanted to say something, but kept quiet for fear I would be made fun of. Wish we knew the name of that man or at least the name he used. Would not the FBI would have checked all passengers for false ID's and their carry-on luggage. Also note that the package seems about the right size for the money. The wrapping seemed to be glossy and in all of the books and articles I have accumulated one made a statement about a green bag sticking out of a pocket of the briefcase. This is mentioned only one time - and I believe it was one of 2 fictional books. This poses a question for CKRET. Was anything said by Tina - mentioning what appeared to be a green plastic bag tucked away in t the upper top of the briefcase. Phone call from China tonight - seems all they are talking about is D.B. Cooper - Folk Hero. I don't understand why it is so popular in China...all these yrs later. We need to be more specific and make our post shorter - we seem to be boring some of the skyjumpers. They are tiring of the trivia presented by us non-jumpers. The last thing we want to see is the thread locked or put into one of the categories where the old timers do not go I suggest tightening up the posts and not being so analytical by keeping the input shorter and more to the point. I understand what they are talking about - First there is a copy of a complete post that made by someone else and then our replies. This makes for long boring repetitive posts. Not all of us are geologists, hydrologists or historians, We are seeking information and asking for help, but the long posts are driving not only the readers away, but other posters who have something to contribute. I am asking for suggestions about the money package that I intend to throw in the Columbia - of course I have no idea where it will go or if it will ever be found. I just might be out money. I need to know what other paper I can put in the package besided the money that will behave the same as paper money...using a fabric laudry maker for the contact information on the $1 bills to be turned in for a bill of a larger denomination. How to go about setting up a P.O. Box or contact point for the reward in WA.? Help! I might need someone to push a gurney. I might need a pilot before I leave - and a small plane. He, He Can we add two more. His mother's name was Lorraine and he was supposedly born at the time of the notorious Lorain Tornado which destroyed the Lorain Opera House. Actually he was born in Willoughby but Lorain is OK. Now - we can confirm that we are ALL bored until something new comes up. FACE IT, if Duane had been a passenger under any name the FBI would have already have stated that yrs ago. I don't think they circles are on Tena's Bar at least not where the find was. You could see the Fazio house - in fact we parked just East of the house and the Gate is east of the House. The location we were taken to was right in front of the Car area and East of the House. I don't think the Fazio's and Himmelsbach changed the location of the find for the film crew. Frankly I can't see the houses except on the 1979 pic - but it was 2001 when I was there. So maybe the house was built after 1979. Does anyone know the answer to this? Snowmman - the Fazio's house was West of the beach area the money was found in. This I know for a FACT. I was there. What is in front of the beach is the parking area and gate. If I have to I can get a statement regarding this, but it will be verbal and on the phone. No one CAN move the money find or the Fazio home.
