Knew about it, kept it a secret... in fact I think just about everyone on the DZ knew about it apart from the proposee. Friend of mine planned for ages to propose in the air, it took about a month to get everything right, the right people there, the right weather, to convince her to come up with us (she is a 'shy' skydiver and never wants to risk 'screwing it up' for the rest of us - although when she jumps she is fine! hasn't screwed one yet, but I digress) He and I did a two way during the day to check his drills with the bit of paper (which he had upside down!) and then finally the jump was on. She almost backed out when we invited her up on the 8-way with camera but chilled when we said we were just going to do a high grips star... didnt suspect anything when we hired a camera even though two guys were flying their own in the star. The pilot, CCI, manifest (obviously camera guy) and all of us knew, along with about 1/2 the DZ!! Anyway, it went really well and there was no doubt about her response!! Not many girls actually get to turn cartwheels of joy when they are proposed to but she did!!
