Yep, that was my description. And apparently, I can't even pass the class with a B no matter how I do on the final. So now I'm considering both how dumb I am, and how fucked this makes the whole situation. I can either stay in class, and perhaps manage a C, or deliberately fail the final and get an F...which would allow me to process "grade forgiveness" and replace the grade after repeating the class for a higher score. It's a gamble...but it's also a decision I need to make. No, I didn't do well on the exam. Not well at all. Matter of fact, I did very poorly. If it was me I would sit tight and not say anything and hope for the best. Even though this guy sounds like a real asshole chances are hes not mean enough to flunk you illegitimately. If you had conversations in the past and have had a chance to become somewhat more than a typical student teacher relationship then its likely hes feeling as crummy about this whole situation as you are, since he has clearly offended a good,friendly student. That guy sounds like a real jackass. Ive known since I was about 5 years old how to treat service staff. Always recieve and ask for anything with please's and thank you's and be as courteous as possible. My mom used to be a bar tender and my dad was a waiter for a long time so they knew how rude people could be and they did their best to show me the right manners. It amazes me how people can mistreat others who are serving them, and I see it all the time. Even if someone is really screwing up an order or has been really slow I always try to be patient and help them in any way i can. If someone is showing true effort with lackluster results I usually still give them a good tip and encourage them. I live in South Florida where I see horrible treatment of wait staff all the time by (I dont wanna offend anyone but its the truth) French Canadien tourists and old Jewish New Yorkers. Its incredible how disrespectful some of them are and it makes me sick. I worked for a summer as a server for my Uncles Catering company. It was amazing how rude people could be even when things are running smoothly. If youve read any history book that covers that past 2006 years you can clearly see that religion is the problem. Take the modern suicide bomber for example. Do you think that any sane young man would willingly blow himself up in the middle of a crowded market, without a promise of a glorious afterlife guaranteed by his radical sect? If you take religion out of this young mans life then he has no reason/desire to kill himself/others as a martyr in the name of Allah. Therefore religion (however radical it may be) is the problem. It is clear however that if one was to practice the teachings of the Quran, New Testament , or the Torah as a means to enrich ones lives then religion wouldnt be the problem it would be a solution. Thats exactly why Im not in a frat now. Many of my friends are and I do go to some of the parties but overall im glad im not in one. I dont think its fair to label all frat brothers as trust fund babies that are spoiled. My friend Joey is in Tau Kappa Epsilon and he is certainly not rich. He has a job so he can pay for the fees/dues and to him its well worth it.
