I get your point. I do however disagree. Bill Maher is now known for his political observations/satire on his HBO show but he was a comedian originally (he still does stand up). He is neither a strong liberal or conservative. He supports capital punishment and racial profiling at airports yet also is a supporter of PETA and secular government. He cant be classified as a particular ideology such as "liberal" or "conservative", he formulates his own opinions and doesnt simply follow party lines on all subjects, which seems to be Coulters specialty. Unlike Coulter, Maher will make jabs at anyone with whom he disagrees not just conservatives. Maher has pundits, comedians, actors, and politicians from both sides of the aisle on his show to exchange in meaningful debate. Unlike Coulter, Maher will give his opposition the chance to elaborate on their opinions in person on his show, while Coulter will label people (men) whom disagree with her as "Faggots". Coulter voices her hate filled speech in order to garner attention and increase book sales. Maher voices his opinions to make audiences laugh and or debate on his show. Huge difference. Its quite hard though but I at least try. The real issue isnt micro environmental protection anyways, even though everything helps. Another thing... Lets say that Global Warming isn't as bad as it is widely recognized to be. Is it still OK to pollute the atmosphere with toxic chemicals? Even if it isnt causing Global Warming right now, is it not OK for the government to explore more eco-friendly energy alternatives? In an effort to decrease the emissions of Greenhouse gasses by Americans the US government has looked to new ways to fuel our automobiles such as hydrogen, electric, and ethanol based vehicles. These practices not only better the environment but also limit our dependence of foreign oil. Is this not a win-win situation? You need to change your attitude in a big way pal. If your connecting Global Warming to a homosexual agenda then you have a lot to learn about American politics. Are you Good? According to that website, everyone who has ever not held the Christian God first in their life or believed that there is no hell will be doomed to an eternity in hell. Therfore excluding every person on earth from Heaven, that isnt a Christian. If God is indeed all knowing and all powerful shouldnt he be able to recognize that people can be born into faiths such as Islam or Hindu, and therefore have no chance in their lives to become a Christian? If God has a plan for all of us, as so many claim, then he has chosen for billions of people to be born into a culture/faith that doesnt worship him as lord, therefore casting them to hell, because of HIS plan for them. One of my major problems with religion, Christianity in particular, is that it is full of holes and circles of logic that make it hard to believe. Frequently answers to biblical questions I have asked friends, relatives, teachers, and clergymen are answered with quotes from scripture. One will not go to hell because he/she’s not heard of Jesus. One goes to hell because they’ve lied, stolen, blasphemed, committed adultery, murdered, coveted, created false idols, not kept God first in their lives, etc. (e.g. broken God’s moral law which is imprinted on everyone’s heart). All their lives they have believed in Allah, Mohamed (spelling?) and lived according to that doctrine. In other words, if you dont believe in Christ as the savior then you are not able to go to heaven, but you dont necessarily end up going to a lake of fire? Just because one doesnt believe in Jesus Christ/Allah/whomever, even if they live a good decent life means they will go to hell, and I just cant be apart of something which would send so many good people to burn eternally in a lake of fire. It seems like an arbitrary choice since there is no proof of any of them, so I chose the coolest one. Zeus. Maybe not all kids, but a large enough amount do play with guns and end up killing themselves that it warrants this protection. Look at Billvons post before and see how many cases there were of children that found a gun and accidentally killed themselves. It is in a childs nature to explore, touch, and feel things, many of which are dngerous. You cant blame them though because their children, what you can do however is protect them. Hence the use of things like plasic protectors on outlets, child safety locks in cars, locks on cabinet doors which contain household cleaners/poisons, and fences around pools. A gun safe or child proof lock is no different then any of the other protections above. Better pass a law for a waiting period on baseball bats and knives. Why? Baseball Bats are for the game of baseball and knives typically are for cooking (but can be used for recreational purposes as well) Guns were created and are often used to do harm to another person with the intent to kill. Even in self defense this is the case(If a person breaks into your home and you shoot at them, it is with the intent to physically harm/kill them). True, they can be used recreationally as well, however at least with a baseball bat or a knife if someone attacks you then you have chance of defending yourself and surviving. With a gun someone can kill you in an instant from a considerably longer distance then you can with a knife or a bat, with no chance of self defense. Bats and Knives dont need a waiting period.
