  1. Is Blaine still sucking cock for wooden nickles?......Sheesh....
  2. That is cause they are 16-17 years old by the time they get to middle school and normally get jail time instead of a ankle bracelet....
  3. Trust me, I feel the same way about him. It was amazing the reception I got when I walked in looking like someone who showed up for a tandem. Then the 180 came when he found out I had thousands of jumps. I just think some (ie not all) skydivers hop on the f- him bandwagon because he didn't want the hassle of fun-jumpers and they don't know everything that went down. This lawsuit was also another case of a USPA board member who performed questionable acts while representing the USPA....or their own agenda
  4. Cause that is what Airtec came up with when it started selling the units back in the early 90's. Most re-sellers will take that fact that it needs 4 or 8 year checks into account when selling a used cypres. If you only paid a couple hundred for it, that is why. If you paid far more, I would research what you buy more, or ask your instructor/ rigger in the future.
  5. And a selfish prick to get his rules applied statewide to boot. ...He is also the same prick that set a precedent on fatality lawsuits brought against dropzones and the USPA. You can call him a prick because he chose to run *his business* in a profitable manner. You can call him a prick for the way he treated people. BUT, we all owe him for the $500,000 and three years he spent fighting a lawsuit from a family of a well known cameraman who died because of his decisions and bad luck. If he would have lost this lawsuit it would have opened the doors for MANY more and rendered the waiver useless.....but most of us don't want to talk about that.
  6. 3-4 months? Dayum, I was quoted 26 weeks on gear recently you should feel lucky. I'm sure offering a free main has increased their work load and manufactures just can't *hire* more people for the temporary work. What delivery time have they quoted you in the beginning?
  7. Is that a "PM sent" response??? Hi John!
  8. I was at the game then sat and watched Indy sit Manning all night... It is the year to be the first loser in Ohio College Football #2 College Basketball #2 Arena Football #2 NBA Basketball #2 College soccer #2 I guess it is better than being the worst. Still sucks that we didn'tcome through in at least 1!
  9. Ewww......I have been to the airport in flint a couple times....I hate to think about having to stay the night there!
  10. Well the Military led the way for skydiving in the beginning.....then the sport world became more advanced than the military. Now things are changing again. You would be pretty surprised by what the military is doing with parachutes nowadays. In fact the military may be the only reason you are jumping the gear you are........ While it may be a poor idea for the sport world....that doesn't make it a poor idea for everybody. 80% of Strongs business is military...and military business fuels the cheap sport gear
  11. Although I understand where you are coming from.....My post is EXACTLY what Lee stood for. If somebody was on here talking crap, he called them out AND stand behind his name/post. I think I made my feelings for Lee known.....I will miss him...miss him lying to me during poker games....making me uncomfortable in front of my boss....Giving me shit for not making it to boogies...confiding in me on his feelings about stuff..... I will miss rubbin his belly and calling him a fat bastard..
  12. ***What a bad idea. There is many Marines who think it is an excellent idea. There are many uses for parachutes.....not just the "sport" world. Static line drogue is a very good option for military jumpers who are loaded down with gear and don't have the chance to stay real current. I have seen military jumpers at 25,000 feet with a solo ripcord and a static line drogue exit. The video's speak for themselves. In fact there are about 1300 "sigma" (Multi-Mission) systems in the field right now.
  13. Just ignore him........ I'm not afraid to say that Lee maybe lacked a "PC" side to him at times...He embarrassed me in front of my bosses at a country club in Deland once and I still hear about it......but I still love him to death and hung out with him when I had the chance. .......... I have seen Lee go through some hard times in the skydiving world....He cared for the people around him. If you want to judge him on stories told here, it is your loss you didn't know him. The only difference is I am not a pussy and won't hide behind a screen name when I speak about Lee. If you have something to say....speak up and stand behind your words....if you don't....fuck off
  14. The last year that I was involved with this we actually had a second class approved. This was a 4-hour credit class that we could cater the cirriculum to what ever level their status was...IE: Level 2-7 Obtaining a Coach's rating ETC.. Pretty cool for a college class! We are currently trying to get something up and running at UF. (I am putting my personal feelings aside during this time!) ...but I hope they enjoy watching the game on Jan 7....
  15. Talk to your instructors.... For those of you offering advice who are not coaches or AFF-I's..... There was a trouble student at our DZ who had done 5 level fives before he got turned over to me.... He couldn't control his turns and couldn't figure out why. After a long ground prep and watching him I figured out that he was dropping a knee on his turn. I asked why and he said that he learned it from 2 guys at the bonfire one night(who had 70 and 150 jumps) This poor kid payed out his ass cause of someone who "thought" they were helping by teaching him centerpoint turns...... ....And watching a student go into a cannonball on level 4 would be great.....
  16. I miss playing poker with Lee.....He was ALWAYS first. Either first place or first out!!
  17. Well, WTH...teach me something! Ok......sometimes boys are named Stacy too..... OH WAIT, you know that already!
  18. I met Lee in Dublin in 2005. He came up to film my tandem. The look on his face was priceless when he figured out that the tandem, me, and the gear weighted about the same as him! SOB could float with us though...He is the only man I know who could walk up to a woman in a bar and call her a dirty f whore...and not get slapped.
  19. I thought the "Adam Lanes Award" was handed out at the Flop.........maybe I was wrong! Ps Art: Enjoy those 30 min parachute rides this week...i wish it was me.....
  20. Sweeeeet!!! I can't wait to meet all these new people at the next USPA meeting in Orlando.
  21. This is true......cause ALL the shit from above eventually has to make it to the asshole!!!!
  22. If I am in the back of the plane they get a seatbelt. There have been a couple tandems where we were hooked up all the way up but that was because of an open door/tailgate on the chopper. I do hook up when the "swoopers" leave at 4500. Then normally have to bitch time and time again for them to open the door ALL THE WAY. Just what you need is a swooper leaving at 4500', with no cut, in a climb, and his lazy ass rubs the reserve pin on the half open door as he leaves.
  23. First- open the window. Second- kick any cats in the room out. Third- If you miss the window, repeat second step until you achieve the desired results.
