  1. So, who is the *inventor* of the secondary pilot chute? Does he still support the system? For those who support the catapult, I would like to know your thoughts on the Cross Keys fatality on a Reflex. Is it,"some safety equipment will cause failures elsewhere? like the RSL, AADs, etc? I would just like to hear peoples opinion one way or the other.
  2. Little off topic.... I just saw where Viking was awarded the contract for 4, yep FOUR brand spankin new DH6-400 series Otters for the Golden Knights!!! (at about 4 million a piece)
  3. There are a few Chinese companies who are reverse engineering some parachute equipment. Easy to do on rounds, but much more complicated on square parachutes. I have had 3 or 4 companies claim they can make the same exact equipment as a manufacture here in the US.
  4. No bail out bottles from 30,000? Didn't have much of a back up plan if something went wrong did you? (90 second of useful consciousness)
  5. If that is true, then your TI's need to re-evaluate what they do in freefall and under parachute. I have 2300+ tandems and have had about 6-7 pukers... learn how to flare your gear.... Lepka..... Not like the good ol' days where I supplied all of the gear and made far less than what the video concession did!!! I guess that is why it is good to be in the DZO's back pocket! I always wondered why I quit doing video's back in the day! It's all good.... PS DON'T forget to get the walk out shot or we will fire you!

And we see how skydivers adhere to rules. (even USPA BOD's) What's the problem? It's not like a couple loud mouth idiots have ever taken over a skydiver forum and ran it into the ground before..... Oh wait. In the end, it is HH's house. (even though I agree with him)
  7. That is false...Kip resigned cause he DIDN'T follow the guildlines of a RD..... The only thing pathetic is that fact that it happened. You are sadly confused to "blame" the guy who blew the whistle on the RD who **BROKE THE RULES** NO MATTER WHERE HE IS FROM. And THAT is why he shouldn't be a RD........ Then YOU are confused.......breaking the rules is *breaking the rules* There was guildlines in place to do what he did....he *choose* NOT to go by them. As a RD, he should face the outcome. You have no ideal of ethics or laws on how things work..NOR should you tell Kelly what she should do. You are VERY confused to protect somebody who broke the rules...and if you know *anything* you know that Sherry pulled for Kip to be RD, not fought against it..........WAKE UP....I know you haven't been in the sport much, but you can't come in here running your mouth when you obviously don't know what is going on.
  8. Kip L...... My vote goes to Dave Lepka....and I will pay for the airline ticket to MCO too.
  9. No, it's much easier to suggest what he should do. I'd be more than happy to clean up if he cooked, but I'm not going to do both nor should I. Where does cooking OR cleaning up come into ply when it comes to oral sex?
  10. Yep. From past history, this will probably be a "closed" meeting where the people you elected will discuss and come to a conclusion......cause you elected them right?
  11. YEAH! Education!...now everybody can read it and come to their own conclusion that there isn't just one innocent person...... nor one guilty.
  12. Thanks for the update..... Have you read the lawsuit against UPSA?
  13. If I can get no other point across but that one, that is a good start. Those screaming, We lost, Jan has to go!! need to realize there was MUCH more to this than just one person actions. I think this entire mess was mishandled by the Board, By Jan, By the Executive Committee and especially by the Lawyers. ALL share responsibility and to try focus the entire blame as some are doing on one person is wrong. Agreed again. And all the people screaming Jan is our friend leave her alone she did nothing wrong, need to realize that also.
  14. J, we continue to agree that there could be seveal contributing factors to the the lawsuit. I have never said Jan was the 100% reason. Many of the things you talk about, I have no hard proof cause I didn't see the settlement. I did however see what Jan has said and I was replying to the questions peek had asked.
  15. Without re-quoting my previous 12 posts. Yes, she was a good voice for the common jumper. Yes, she was out of line for a USPA board member and Anti-trust lawsuits were a direct result of her words.
  16. To all those attending I suggest: 1. Completely read the Skyride lawsuit against USPA. 2. Read a little about Anti-trust lawsuits. 3. Understand how BOD's and EC's work. 4. Come with something other than, "she is my friend and you guys are crooks." Like I said in previous posts, I think Jan was good for the common jumper. Maybe her hardheaded skydiver approach of "I do what I want to do" was not the best stance for a BOD member.
  17. So your saying two things here. 1. Our RD's don't know anything about their position/ how to re-run for their position.(which I know to be true also) 2. "ALL" those non-DZO people who want to run for RD won't bother unless they know they are a shoe in. BS! They are not out there
  18. Airtec has addressed this issue with the "swoop" cypres... Guess how many they have sold.
  19. I completely disagree....If that was the case we would not see regions with ZERO people running for RD.
  20. I was there for 6 days and it was foggy every day...can't help you
  21. An Islander has a far better CG than a Beech 18....You can't see the people in the plane, but this "looks" like VERY poor piloting. When it stalled it went nose down/right side up which means there wasn't a "whole" lot of people in the tail. Scary never-the-less. I have been in a couple stalls at altitude and seen video of several more. Scary place to be
