Chalk up a couple more things I've learned on dz.com! Thanks a bunch, Bill!

I've done that with my Z1 before- no visor and sunglasses- I like doing that. I love my Z1, but I'm probably gonna get a Mindwarp sometime in the not-too-distant future I think- I like to feel the air...

Something I would like to say...and will
TheMarshMan1 replied to cyberskydive's topic in The Bonfire
I stopped worrying about what my parents said/thought about me long ago. They dont ever seem to have anything positive to say. That email from your dad sounds exactly like something my dad would say. Keep your chin up, Ann, and keep on collecting those donations for every little bit will help. Ignore those who have nothing encouraging or positive to say- they will only hinder your progress and spirits... Blue skies, Marshall -
Yes, except that my eyes have to be corrected to 20/20 to keep my first class medical, and I dont want to make them worse than they already are by taking an unnecessary risk. I don't mind being a Foureyes that much... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Thats cool. I really would love to have 20/20 vision without glasses, but right now lazer surgery is a risk I'm not willing to take. Someday maybe.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

DAMN dude, thats one hell of a mess. If my roommate was that messy, I'd do everything in my power to get another roommate, lol. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

My donation will be in the mail tomorrow morning. I really hope everything works out for you, Ann. And thanks, Cyber, for setting all this up so we can help her out! -
So sorry to hear that, Chuck. My thoughts are with you and all of Sandy's friends and family. Blue skies.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

When I was at work all I could think about was eating easter dinner that i was missing, but when i got home, it wasnt more than an hour or two before I wished I was back at work, lol! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Ahh...speaking of good skydiving songs- does anyone have "All I Want" by Dial-7? I've been looking for that mp3 forever, and for some reason can't seem to find it. If you have it and would like to share, drop me a PM, email, or catch me on AIM (TheMarshMan1)- it would be much appreciated!

lol...sounds, uh...interesting. Care to elaborate? "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but what the heck does Titilating mean? "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

I dunno Lummy, I'm afraid if I send one, then I'll get 37 back saying roughly the same thing but worded differently..... ...and thats all I am going to contribute to this thead. Peace... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Do you think GAY couples should adopt children???
TheMarshMan1 replied to rhino's topic in The Bonfire
Although that was not meant as a personal attack, I apologize for making it sound like one to you. I have no reason to "attack" you, and if I did, trust me, I would do it through PM. And how does that post qualify me as "not being able to be an adult?" "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..." -

OK pal, I'm glad you know everything there is to know about the universe. I do not have to decide if he is telling me the truth, because I can trust that he is. This guy was my best friend for years before he "came out," and although I do not see him much anymore, that doesnt mean he's not still one of my best friends. I do not appreciate you making my friend out to be a liar, when in fact you obviously do not know him. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..." -

TheMarshMan1 replied to rhino's topic in The Bonfire
I HIGHLY doubt that those are reasons that someone would "turn" gay. I have one friend who is openly gay, and he will say that its not something he just all of the sudden "chose" to do. He did not wake up one morning, and decide he was going to be gay. That is a rediculous theory. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..." -

Many people say that they "learn something new every jump." If thats really the case, then theres absolutely NOTHING wrong with some giving advice to a lower-time jumper- shouldnt matter how many jumps they have. I dont care if someone has just 5 more jumps than I do- I can still learn from them, and maybe even they can learn from me..who knows. I think that people in the forums, while obviously using discretion, should be able to freely give out advice on topics they have some experience with. It is the responsibility of the person seeking the advice to use discretion as to who they really listen to and to speak with someone at their DZ who knows them about what they've been told. Nobody (or very very few) is an expert at every aspect of this sport, so someone always has something to learn- jump numbers aren't everything. Just my NON-EXPERT opinion, and .02, of course...
