    Yes, sadly enough, I can believe it. The town I grew up in was/is sooo conservative (maybe "anal" is a better word). I'm SURE they've discussed that issue at least a few dozen times. Life's a bitch- be its pimp....

    I, for one, dont like the idea of having to deal with a main tangled around me when I have a broken leg and I'm unstable. I think I'd go reserve....In the same situation with no broken leg...probably main. Just my .02 Life's a bitch- be its pimp....

    My idea of heaven? Live in a warm climate. Spend time every single day of my life in the air. Since I skydive, AND I'm a pilot...thats not too far out of the realm of possibility... Life's a bitch- be its pimp....

    I remember watching Rob Harris, Patrick DeG., and all them skysurfing on ESPN back in the day when they used to cover it. I was too young to try it (skydiving, not skysurfing, lol)...but I would plaster myself to the TV for hours and watch it. Even recorded a lot of it (unfortunately, I don't have any of the tapes anymore)....it just facinated me. I've wanted to fly literally since I can remember. I started flying airplanes at 15, started skydiving at 18....and plan on doing both to a ripe old age!

    Lummy has some good advice....I'm not an expert on this either, so don't listen to me...: Like Lummy said, pick your spot to land. If it moves up...you're gonna land short of it, and likewise...if it moves down, you're gonna overshoot it (unless of course...you do something about it). Theres not gonna be much you can do if it moves "up" too far- but in my opinion, the key is to keep it from doing so in the first place. Oh, and the altimeter. The last time I look at mine (usually) is to set up on downwind...after that my head is on a swivel watching for traffic and I use my eyeballs to judge my altitude. Like I said...I'm no authority on this, so lets here what everyone else has to say..... Life's a bitch- be its pimp....

    OK, I've been wanting to get one for a while now, but this thread did it. I just got done ordering some...they're gonna be: LIVE2AV8 .....I know its not exactly skydiving-related- but since my world pretty much revolves around flying...I figured it would be fitting. Do I owe beer for my first set of vanity plates?

    Hmm...the worst thing thats happened to me. Well...most were self or stupidity-inflicted, lol...but that would be quite a list. Not enough time to post any right now....maybe after work. Once though, we had a thread like this and I posted about a stupid thing I did on my snowmobile a couple years ago- do a search if your really that interested, lol. Life's a bitch- be its pimp....
