OK, and one more thing....I have a friend who is from Hong Kong, and she knows Chinese (coincedence? i think not...) I cant remember what channel it was (either the History Channel or a CNN thing or something) but they were talking about what happened in Mog, and one of the guys they were interviewing was Keni Thomas....as to whether he's still skydiving or not, i dunno.

I actually did better when I started skydiving. Raised my grades almost a full point on the good 'ol GPA (from about a 2.7 to a 3.5)...I think it cleared my head or something, I dunno. I sure as hell didnt complain!

Learn to BASE jump, compete in the New York State X-games in the next couple years, pay off my rediculous collection of student loans, maybe finish a degree, get my CFI, find a girl who will put up with me, move to a warmer climate ASAP, travel a lot, make just enough money to live and...well....thats just about it, except: I know you said "besides skydiving"....but the thing I want to accomplish most in life is to make my living from skydiving... Theres tons of shuttles that go all over FL from Orlando Int. Airport.....take one of those. I dunno if thats what you meant by cab, but a good 'ol cab fare from Orlando to Sebastian would probably cost way more than your airline tickets did, lol.

Rumor has it people wait there with open trunks for falling canopies to grab and sell (or whatever it is they do with them). And from what I've heard theres definitely some truth to this...one nice thing that I've seen a few times is that people are usually chasing a cutaway canopy as soon as someone spots it....

Nah dude, I'm not gonna flame you. In fact, I totally agree with you. I dont talk to whuffos about skydiving unless they ask- for the simple reason that I DONT want to bore them with it. Along the same lines, I dont avoid having whuffos as friends. I have several really good friends that are whuffos, and none of them will probably ever be a skydiver- at least nothing more than a tandem. Just because I skydive doesnt mean I'm gonna look down on other people. I agree with you 100%- we all have things that scare us. One of my friends is an expert motocross racer...that guy can haul ass like you wouldnt believe. I tried motocross, so I know the balls and the hard work and the dedication that it takes to excel in that sport. I totally respect the fact that he will never jump out of a plane- the way I see it, its his loss, but Im not gonna criticize him for it. I do think it takes something special to be a skydiver, and I do think that it IS something special to be a skydiver. But that doesnt mean that everyone is below you (figuratively speaking, of course). Just my $.02 Blue skies, Marshall

lol...kinda same here. I was a hardcore skier/snowmobiler....until I started skydiving. I still do both for shits and giggles (and sometimes money- I'm a part-time ski instructor), but would give up both in a heartbeat to live someplace warm where I could skydive....WINTER SUCKS!

Its alright...I think I might have smartened up a little (I hope). I dont plan on staying in NY for any longer than I have to. Since I cant afford to go back to school at the moment, I might go to Eloy to get my Sr. Riggers ticket sometime later this year...then maybe I can move to a warmer climate, get a job, and be a rigger part time...I dunno. No matter what it takes I'm getting the hell outta this nasty climate ASAP!!!
