Once you learn to pro-pack....psycho packing is real easy... I'm sure theres someone that knows how at your DZ. As far as being unpredictable? I've never had any problems.....anyone else?
-
I have one that says, "Who lit the fuse on your tampon?" Its even got a little sketch of one with a spark going down it....I havent put it on my truck yet...in fear of some bitchy woman with a tendency for road rage thats toting a gun...
-
tsk tsk tsk.....I learned to pro-pack before I even finished AFF. Gave me something to practice on the days when the weather was shitty! Its ok though, cause I dont know how to flat pack...

Coffee table? Whats a coffee table? I have found that the large boxes computer moniters come in work just fine....

You have almost 5,000 freakin posts, and you JUST figured out how to do that? lol
-
"Can you believe that!" Yes, in fact I can. There are some very, i dunno, "not-with-it" pilots out there. I have personally observed 3 aircraft land gear up: A Beech 1900 because of a mechanical problem with one or two of the gear, not sure exactly what. A Mooney because of a mechanical problem with the pilots freaking brain, and a Seminole because of the same problem....

oh yeah...and to CLAY!!!! for keeping all of the posts at the top for days and days!!!
-
"I just get to provide terrorists with a very bad day......" Awesome....where do I apply?
-
lol....I had my fair share of...shall we say...."firm" landings when I was a student, but I must say...I've never had one that firm!

I was just thinking today (yes, it happens occasionally ) about how much I've learned from things I've read on dropzone.com. I would just like to say a big huge THANK YOU! to everyone that helps out answering questions in the other forums: billvon, alan, The Canopy Nazis (Lisa and Phree), riggerrob, quade, diverdriver, and all the rest of you who dedicate your time to help fellow jumpers out. (sorry, it would take me forever to list everyone who has posted something that has helped me out, lol). Some of these huge long posts written by you all amaze me...but its AWESOME! And of course, dropzone.com wouldnt even be here if it werent for The Great Sangiro!!! I've learned sooo much from you guys and hope to keep on learning. Thanks sooooo much, and if/when I ever meet any of you in person, I feel its my obligation to buy you a beer!

Undercarriage- "Down and welded" Thats what one of my instructors always used to say when flying fixed gear planes....
-
"I may be a law enforcement officer soon..." OOOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Just when I thought they couldnt get any worse!!! LOL- just kidding, Clay
-
But now that I think about it...if the pilot had done a GUMPS (Gas, Undercarriage, Mixture, Prop(s), Speed) check, he'd have probably been OK. Two key items being Gas and Undercarriage... I'll stop overanalyzing things now....
-
Now THAT would piss me off as a pilot- jumpers touching any of the controls.....hehehe, I'd dock 'em 2,000 feet for thinking about it, and 5,000 for doing it! ....can you say, "hop'n'pop"? lol. Seriously though....that kinda stuff is dangerous...
-
Oh yeah, I agree....its just a freaky thought.
-
LOL- Thats a good one!!!

"THE TERRORISTS SENT TO KILL US WERE NEVER RE-APPREHENDED. " Thats something I dont like the idea of- always having to watch over my shoulder....knowing that theres someone still out there that at one time was attimately (sp) devoted to killing me...

http://www.troyleedesigns.com You can also try them. Again, more for racing, but they have a whole section of helmet decals that are pretty cool. I emailed them for a quote on having my helmet painted by them, but apparently they dont want my business, so screw 'em.

No way...if he has that much time to post and get paid to do it...how can his job suck? I sure as hell cant post at my job...

Well, I'm not gonna be much help for you- my exit weight is something like 142, so of course I float like crazy with some people. I dunno if its possible for you...but once when I went to SkyVenture in Orlando I did about ten minutes worth of fall-rate work...and I feel like it helped me immensely on my next jump. Obvious benefit of doing this in the tunnel being: it ends up being cheaper in the long run (at least for me) because if you lose the person that you're jumping with you dont have to go up and do another whole jump just trying to match rates. If you can get your fallrate matching skills down in the tunnel, you can focus on more things in the air. Just my $.02 for what its worth... Blue skies, Marshall

I hear ya man...it was 4 here last night....windchill in the negative double digits...

"Transfer to the college in New Paltz" Funny you say that....I was planning on it!
-
Ya know....if they "perfected" that....it sounds like it might be fun! And no, I'm not bored with skydiving, nor will I likely EVER be....
-
OK, so I've been incessently bitching about being stuck here in NY (sorry for that, lol). Lately, things have been looking up a little since I "cutaway" from college in FL. I have a decent job, and all that good stuff. So that means....I can skydive again very soon (yea, its only been about a month, but still). The Ranch is about 4-5 hours away from me, but I keep hearing wonderful things about it. I think I am going to take a drive down there sometime (5 hours is nothing compared to the 21 it took me to get to college, hehe)....who all from here jumps there? What are your opinions on it (good and bad)? Any info. would be great!!! Thanks.... Blue skies, Marshall
