Oh no, I never said anything about rejecting. I'm just saying we seem to have somehow missed the whole "getting to know you" phase of the relationship. Can I lick chocolate syrup off your nipples? Matt
-
Yes, that's a good movie.

Hell, I'm happy about it and I won't even get to jump it for at least another year. It's just that damn cool. Matt

I don't know...I'm still kinda traumatized from the whole public exposure incident a coupla nights ago. Matt

I had a dog named Duke who howled along with ambulance sirens. And I don't mean he just howled when he heard a siren; he actually sang along, matching the siren's note as it rose and fell. "OwoooooOOOOOOooooooOOOOOoooooOOOOO." Duke also liked to sit in the middle of a group of people having a conversation. He listened intently as different people spoke, head swiveling back and forth like he was watching a tennis match. When Duke felt the timing was right, he added his thoughts to the conversation: "Rowoowahwahuuurrhyah." I always responded, "I agree with Duke," and he wagged his tail.

I like the first; the proportions between the crw guys and the background is more pleasing to my eye. (There's probably an official art-critiquing phrase for that, but I don't know what it is.) If either are photoshopped, I can't tell. Matt

007 would kick CN's Ass! Only if it was Connery. Matt

I love that scene in Jaws, when the guys are just relaxing on the boat, singing that song, and Bruce makes a little bit of noise. Quint immediately reacts to the noise, because he's the salty sea dog and it's his boat. Hooper reacts a second later; he's got some sailing experience. The land-lubber Brody keeps singing away until he notices the others are concerned about something. Matt

You mean you can actually *hear* my Mid-Atlantic Non-Accent when I type? You laugh, but I figured that your speech is probably similar to your writing: clear and generally unaccented. Matt

It's true. Thankfully, they die first, then burn. Hate to do it the other way 'round. Matt

Several people write skillfully enough to convey their accent and mannerisims. I think it's cool when done right.

Crappies are ok. Trout is great. Salmon's the best!

Being crippled, either physically or mentally. When I broke my back recently, what was even worse than the pain was the total helplessness. I couldn't even sit up, let alone stand, without help. That was terrifying. I never have nightmares, though. Ever. All you pop psychology gurus, what does the lifelong absence of nightmares mean? Matt

Check this out. Matt

Yup. Sure is. Matt

I was about to go to bed, but there's a fascinating thunderstorm approaching, so I'm going to watch it for a while. Matt

Yo, yo, night crew, keepin' it real dawgs! Matt

Thank you, Kathleen. That's what I was trying to say. Why throw away something good just because one person doesn't feel good on one particular day? Matt

Help with AFF level 3 - release dive
MF42 replied to matthias's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
About the legs... Keep in mind that I have exactly one more jump than you do and am therefore equally as clueless about things skydiving related, but... My problem was I kept curling up both legs behind me, so my feet were above my butt. This happened because when I practice my arch, lying on the floor, I'm exerting force to pull the legs up off the floor. But in freefall, I got my legs into the correct position not by pulling, but by pushing my shins against the relative wind. That's what "clicked" for me anyway. Seems so simple that I should've realized it earlier instead of having to repeat an expensive jump, but oh well. Matt -
Maybe I'm interpreting the original question incorrectly. I'm thinking that if she one day says she no longer loves me, and I never saw this coming, then something dramatic must have recently changed. I'd be very curious what that something is. I wouldn't assume that her mind is irreversibly set on this course yet. Surely a marriage with children is worth a little investigation, at least. Matt

Yep. Took a little while to clean off. Matt
