A while ago, the eastern sky was dark with heavy clouds and the western sky was burning in sunset. A hawk, or maybe an eagle, was circling a couple hundred feet up, searching for small furry critters. The golden sunlight illuminated him against the dark background; it was like a halo or aura or just pure glowing life radiating away up there. A camera wouldn't ever be able to capture the moment. What have you seen recently that was beautiful? Matt

Wow. If Karma was chasing a ball, I bet she wasn't exactly traveling at a "safe and reasonable speed" either, and that's a big dog. Border Collies are some of my favorite people too. I'll definitely send some prayers/vibes/chi/whatever. Glad Karma is ok. Matt

A few years ago I lost a roof to a tornado. Very scary experience. For quite some time after that, if the wind picked up a little bit my heart started beating faster. Took a while to get over it. Matt

Never had either, but I was thinking that VFR is the only way I'd accept it. Too easy to lose control getting distracted in IMC, methinks. Matt
