Thanks everyone. Now most of my websites have one. Some of those sights wanted to charge as much as $125 to create one. This site did it for NOTHING. It took about 30 seconds or less. http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/ Again, thanks everyone! steveOrino

I should know this, but I don't. What is the name of the small image that represents bookmarks on your favorites (and how do you get them for your website?) Dropzone.com is a little "DZ" steveOrino

I wear FF pants and tee-shirt (even in Winter). If it is really hot, I wear shorts, but I like the stability baggy FF pants give me on the "wild" ones. steveOrino

"This is an isolated incident, an aberration. ... We have good kids," Center Principal Angie Coleman told the newspaper." From working with adolescents for the past several years (1982) I'd say the problem most likely begins at the home, with the parents (or lack thereof). JMHO steveOrino

I had one on an older Icarus. We were twisted half way up (at least it seemed that way) I think I figured 16 twist. IMHO the passenger helps the most by staying still. Mine was trying to help me untwist and he was only making things worse. After only getting out of half of them by 2500, I chopped. steveOrino

Yes, of ALL the tandem handcam footage I've seen, by far, Kim is the best. She flies with that one hand down in front of their face so effortlessly. I've stopped doing handcams, but I may start back with some new stuff. No doubt, if I do go back to using handcams it is because Kim's videos motivated me to get better. steveOrino

That is the story I heard while in SF. I heard the story between '78-80, most likely 1979. steveOrino

It may have been an urban legend, but I remember back in my SF days the tale of a guy coming in sans parachute and did a PLF in a soggy backyard of a doctor, who administered first aid, and survived. Again, most likely an urban legend. I heard this back in 1978. steveOrino

Hmmm. I'm not convinced that if I had some canopy trouble (knotted brakelines etc) and was not sure what it was (even if I was sure)... that getting extra landing speed or front risering the canopy would really be my priority. I would probably have taken a straight in landing. Just my thoughts... My same impression. Poor trade off if you ask me. steveOrino -

Where will it end? It never ends ... Years ago I was asked by a parishner to preach a funeral for her dad. I said okay. She told me they were from the "no neck tie" sect of Church of God, and asked would I be willing to perform such servics sans neck tie. Heck yeah! No problem, I hate neck ties, not because they offend my moral senses or Paul's admonition to not wear "worldy adornment" but they choke my 17 1/2 inch neck! It was a country church out in the Okiehoma sticks and they did not have AC. It was August, It was 105 degrees. I wore a sleeveless white dress shirt. Upon arriving I was informed I could not perform the funeral because my arms were bare ... too sensual they said! Now I admit, I have HUGE guns,

I downloaded DVDshrink and it appeared to either backup or write the movie "somewhere" but I don't know where. Anybody have experience with DVDshrink? steveOrino

If I had a dime for every guy who told me he was ex-sf ... I usually ask them what team they were on, and show them my coin. Then it gets ridiculous ... they usually tell me it was all "hush hush, top secret" crapola. However, I agree with Matt. Keep it to yourself. You have a bigger fish to fry over there in the sand. Stay safe! Come home soon! De Opresso Liber! (my version of your "semper Fi") SteveO steveOrino

"Flying the Camera" by Patrick Weldon is a little old, but still has good stuff in it. It should be cheap on Amazon.com EDITED: Okay only one on Amazon, and the dude wants $144 for it ... good luck with that! steveOrino

Yes, cover shot and centerfold shot was very good, but I saw a few very poorly lit tandem pics throughout the magazine. I can't imagine they can't find other such pics with adequate light sources. But apart from the vidiots here, I suppose no one cares about tandem pics. steveOrino

Retention of students aside, my guess the reason for the lack of retention for DZ staff can be summed up in one word ... DRAMA. Who needs it? Too many other fun activities where the "drama" is kept to a minimum or doesn't exist at all. It appears skydiving and DZ staffs have a large proportion of drama. JMHO steveOrino
