How old is that? I'm 47 myself....... One year older than I was when I got back in the sky 20 years after jumping in the military. Good luck, and go for it! You don't quit skydiving because you are old ... you get old because you quit skydiving! steveOrino

I prefer the wind in my face (no windshield either). I often drive a back road that is near the Arkansas River (in Tulsa) and in the Summer I get hit by bugs all the time. I guess I'm man enough to take a few bug hits. steveOrino

Oops, I'm sorry. steveOrino

You live in Plano, near Dallas. Drive to Skydive Dallas in Whiteright and talk to Mandy Schaffer (if she is still there) She's not too big and from what I hear she is a VERY capable TI. steveOrino

And you are comfortable with Obama being president having the nuclear codes and facing down Putin, and China, and North Korea and Iran, and keeping Pakistan & India, and Israel and the Arabs states, from blowing each other up..... shudder! steveOrino

I owe 12K and make $275 monthly payments on a car loan. i want to pay it off in a year. I'm saving $200 a week to do so. Should I save until I have the payoff or am I better off paying $200 on each week or an extra $800-1000 a month on principle as I make the regular $275 monthly payment? steveOrino

I'm not sure what your question is ... sorry. My point -- it is possible to be peeved about something you don't believe in if you feel it' influence is everywhere. I pointed out that I'm not an atheist so I will not speak for them, but I grow weary of a prevalent theology that I feel is wrong. Am I angry over it ... no, more just why don't they (premillellinialist) "get it" ... more perplexed than angry. steveOrino
-
I'm obviously not an atheist ... isn't it obvious? But I can understand why people get "ticked" over certain things. The American (USA) culture is permeated with religious reference. If they don't believe then why get worked up you ask. Well, I do not prescribe to the premillennial theology that is so prevalent in Evangelical Churches and at times I feel "Oh, brother" when Tim Lahaye puts out another book. So maybe most atheist are angry, but if they are I may understand why. steveOrino

Rainy & cloudy Saturday made me creative. My granddaughters loved it! steveOrino

I just got my "I snorted coke with Obama" sticker. This thread is worthless. Funny. But worthless. My point as the fringe example of people she chose to identify with McCain supporters can be equally identified with Obama ... but it is funny. steveOrino
