Here you go: http://science.howstuffworks.com/evolution7.htm Have fun.

Riiiiight. And you never beat off either, do you? Just because you like to go home with scanks/heffers/homelies (and aren't ashamed enough to forego blabbing about it) that doesn't mean every guy has equally low standards. I was raped, dickhead. Dickhead? Nice PA.

Interesting article. Thanks for posting it. Sorry my stating that I'm not completely convinced about the process of macroevolution caused such a stink.

Are the recent highs in the DOW just a sign of inflation?
NCclimber replied to AdamLanes's topic in Speakers Corner
Taxes have been cut but tax revenue has gone up. Here we go again. Yours is only a meaningful statement if the value of the $ and population growth are accounted for. When that is done, real revenues have NOT gone up. Got any proof to back up that claim? We already beat it to death on here, which is why I wrote "here we go again".. You mean you actually produced inflation-adjusted numbers? Or are you talking about your previous claim (that was never backed up), which just happened to be in a thread that had other topics that got beat to death? It's real simple - you make a claim... a claim that is pretty cut and dried... either it's correct or it's not. Now, instead of doing the kallend two-step, you could just provide proof of it being correct. Having a little reading problem today, are we? We already beat it to death on here, which is why I wrote "here we go again".. That was a different horse. Duck and run, duck and run... Let's all two-step -
I judge the issue based on the evidence & let the chips fall where they may. You should dive for cover behing Gould's nonoverlapping magisteria instead of denying the science. The science debate is beyond recovery for you now, people who deny the science and in particularly those who believe in a young Earth are profoundly ignorant of the science, and in many cases willfully ignorant. That is not pejorative it is just the fact of the matter. You seem to have a lot of emotional equity invested in this matter. I'll just move along now.

Well, at least your open to honestly discussing the matter and not inclined to prejudge anyone with a differing perspective.

Are you claiming a higher caliber of nonsense has been wielded against evolution in this thread? Nope. Then why the need to resort to low brow retorts?

With all these people, charges had been made or it was clear that some form of prosecution was in the works. Neither scenario applies to Gonzalez.

Yet several posters bring up the whole militiary takeover/martial law nonsense on a regular basis. Well, it was either that or the fact that the Dems did an exceptionally crappy job of challenging him on '04. I kept waiting for Kerry to make the race about serious topics (other than terrorism) and take the high ground. Instead, I saw him consistently sniping about this petty issue or that petty issue... or trying to be hip with is snowboarding and windsurfing and carrying his water bottle and wearing his yellow bracklet. To say that Bush got elected because the voters were stupid, implies that Kerry had a better, more compelling message that the voters missed. That's just not the case.
-
Has anyone brought up any of this nonsense in this thread? Or is this just a cheap stunt to pretend you have the high ground?
-
There's the Jakee I know.

No, you have that wrong. It's "George Bush's America" and that's all there is to it. His eight years will no doubt be referred to in history as "the Bush Monarchy." There are so many lost souls that need a king, no matter how corrupted, to do their thinking for them, telling them what to do, whilst taking everything he can from them. Don't think for one second that Bush works for us. He'd shrub off an impeachment so fast it would make your head spin. And probably turn the military of the US against it's own citizens as he did it. This might be funny if you didn't seem dead serious. Do many people really view the current administration and those who elected Bush in such outrageous terms?

Perhaps we should bar all prosecutors from saying what defendants are being prosecuted for.... just present the evidence and let the jurors decide what crime was commited and what sentence is appropriate.

Sorry. Never did the "moped" thing. But I do remember pushing things as far as I could. You know... she moves the hand away, so you give it a rest for a bit... try again a little later. Never had a girl too drunk to resist. Maybe I did, but I wasn't interested in going down that path. My point is I can see where that girl is coming from. It very well could be a case of regrettable sex. I don't know what happened. Some people in this thread seem to think they do.

Funny how these "Evolution" discussions quickly go downhill. Seems like a bit of zealotry drives both sides of the road. Jakee, Thanks for your civil reply.
-
How much of this was stated in the article? Also, it seems that your saying that if a woman gets friendly with a guy (let's say kissing)... and she gets hammered, she really has no reason to complain if the guy takes her clothes off and screws her. Is that about right?

Just making a distinction between microevolution (which I wholeheartedly accept) and macroevolution (which I'm not as certain about). The story of the Peppered Moths is a great example of microevolution, but (IMO) not a great example of Evolution.

One man's "judicial activist" is another man's "fair interpreter". The Legislative makes the law. The Executive enforces the law. The Judicial interprets the law. Don't they teach this in school any more? The Courts have always and will always (as long as the U.S. Constitution is in place) interpret the laws passed to see if they are in accordance with the U.S. Constitution. That's their job. I think you really DO want it to be this way too. Maybe you don't like it when their views don't happen to support YOUR view of the world and you'll then call them "activist judges", but their job isn't to support YOUR view of the world, it's to support the U.S. Constitution. Wow. You certainly did read a lot into that.

Moth pigmentation too, as a result of soot staining on the trees they frequent. So this is nothing more than Natural Selection? What do you mean? BTW My point was about the introduction of moths into this thread.

Its only a BAD court decision when its NOT some right wing wet dream that is being legislated from the bench. Maybe for you. Personally, I'm against all judicial activism. Even if I like certain rulings, I'd prefer the juiciary not to legislate at all.
