  1. Nice try, Bill. All of it. Really. Good job. Putting the onus on the other side to deflect attention from your shoddy claims. A tried and true tactic. Infortunately, That dog don't hunt.
  2. Do you still beat your wife?
  3. He's a liar and hypocrite too: Following claims by a member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee that he had a lengthy relationship with a prostitute, the Senator told a radio interview that they were "absolutely and completely untrue," labelling them as "just crass Louisiana politics". On his website, he says he is committed to the advancement of "mainstream conservative principles". Are you saying that because he admitted to an indiscretion (that we know nothing about!), this proves he was lying when he refuted the claims of a lengthy relationship with prostitute? Are you familiar with the "hasty conclusion" logical fallacy?
  4. But shouldn't people be happy he got a BJ? You figure that prostitution has been around since the beginning of civilization, is part of the consevative values... Colin Powell got a BJ? As usual, stick to the topic...we are talking of one sinner in this thread arent we? Whine to NCclimber - he, not I, brought up Powell. Hiding on what he said, I was asking you a simple question. I see. it is very difficult for you to answer.. Whine to NCclimber - he, not I, brought up Powell You're just a victim in all this, eh?
  5. Sorry you seem to have problem truth. In other words - NO!
  6. How about that... I went to that site and the link you recommended... and found a grand total of three structural engineers. Decided to research the first one listed, Dr. Michael Voschine. It seems like a numbers of others have done the same, with no success in finding who he is. It's as if someone just made him up.
  7. Clark Mac Donald is the only engineer in the bunch. Has he claimed the lunar landings were faked?
  8. Yes. As far as I'm concerned, labels like hysterics and deniers are little more than cheap tricks to put the targeted group on the defensive. The only reason I started using alarmist and hysteric was because I got tired of your use of the term "denier". To answer your question, no. For some, like Al Gore, I think the lable fits.
  9. Like who? Do any of them (I'm talking about respected demolition experts and structural engineers) support the controlled demolition of the Twin Towers?
  10. Sure thing. List three aerospace engineers who say the moon landings were faked.
  11. Historically, CO2 levels have typically risen 50% off previous lows. It seems to be cyclical. Are you implying all of that 46.2% increase was caused by man? You're comparing CO2 to arsenic? What's the unsafe level for CO2 for indoors? Isn't is something like 1200% higher than current atmospheric levels? BTW Nice job of not answering the question. Then again, if termites accounted for 1/4000 of the weight of your house, things would already be pretty bad, don't you think? Do you consider anyone who doesn't believe that man is responsible for increasing "CO2 concentrations in our atmosphere by 50%" to be a denier?
  12. ROTFLMAO Another classic comparison. There are a number of (otherwise) well-respected climate experts who challenge AGW and the dire predictions associated with it. Do any of the vocal Lunar Landing skeptics have relavent training that might give their claims credibility? Or are they mostly paranoid crackpots, who no one gives much notice?
  13. He's a liar and hypocrite too: Following claims by a member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee that he had a lengthy relationship with a prostitute, the Senator told a radio interview that they were "absolutely and completely untrue," labelling them as "just crass Louisiana politics". On his website, he says he is committed to the advancement of "mainstream conservative principles". and Colin Powell attempted to coverup the My Lai Massacre, too!
  14. Wendy, I agree with you. It's the absolute, "the sky is falling" rhetoric that gets me.
  15. First off, what is the proof that we "increased CO2 concentrations in our atmosphere by 50%"? Is it simpler to just make a blanket statement, rather than actually stating the current consensus, which includes "some of the CO2 increases can be attributed to natural causes"? Secondly, I frequently here the claim about the 50% increase in CO2 levels. How come no one points out that this means CO2 now makes up 1/2600th of the atmosphere? Telling someone their termite infestation has increased 50% seems a lot more compelling than saying it's gone from 1/4000th all the way up 1/2600th. Then again, this latter change might cause some people to react hysterically. Could it be the GW alarmists/hysterics are trying to control what is being discussed, and that if they put all the information out there, they wouldn't be as compelling? It kind of reminds me of a line from Thank You For Smoking - "That's the beauty of argument, if you argue correctly, you're never wrong."
  16. So, saying something like "I find people who consistently make across-the-board negative stereotypes to be complete fucking morons, who lack the capacity (or self esteem) to judge people as individuals" is okay? Irony noted
  17. No, there is no left-wing bias in the media. This thread is hella funny. The righties are rather dim... Who cares what causes the journalists donate to? How does that make a difference? What survey like this exists for the EDITORS? How about the OWNERS of the publications? In other words, who cares what the factory workers think? What matters is the managers and owners of the factory decide. The workers don't matter at all. The owners and editors have control over the content of the publications. Not the journalists. What a pathetic argument. Pretty much what I expect from the sheeple. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! The media IS neutral! THE MEDIA IS NEUTRAL!!! Harumph, harumph Snort, snort Bluster, bluster. Thanks for the laugh, dude.
  18. Que? You also better check your history books before making a statement like that (and if you can't be bothered, think Vietnam and the current Iraq war - oh yeah, that one, you know, the one declared "WON" about 4 years ago). You're a Viet-Iraqi? I coulda sworn you were a Brit.
  19. Here a map indicating (in green) which nations allow polygamy.
  20. In many Muslim countries it's commonly accepted...a non-issue.
  21. It IS on topic, which is: Ten Politically Incorrect Truths of Human Nature Is this another one of those "It looks like it might be true, therefore it is true" assertions?
  22. The difference in the level of acceptance in Christianity versus Islam and the difference in frequency makes this analogy a particularly lousy one.
