  1. Got some eyecandy from a couple of weeks ago Birdbabe Anouk making here 4th Birdman jump (check the smile) Jean-Louis and me playing around on our backs And a nice jump with Johan and Saskia (Dragon2) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Wasn't that previous landing a landing at line-stretch with partial chute inflation? p.s. Is that a skyflyer1 Jeb is wearing in that picture? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. Hmm...add 500 feet or more and a verrrry long bridge to clear the sides and we can start to teach regular staticline courses from these buildings JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. I have a sidewinder with a Sony PC7 inside. Just 'clean out' the insides, get a Glasfiber kit, and you can probably remodel the inside to fit almost any camera-model... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  5. Either Use Adobe After Effects, Of (like sayd before) create a Premiere Pro NTSC project. De-interlace your clip/project (or everything will look like crap) and the automatic frameblending of Premiere Pro will do a great job on the 25 to 30 fps conversion. If you don't have Premiere Pro, After Effects is your toy...but it (sadly) is a bit more complex the just the 3 clicks it will cost you in premiere pro. Premiere 4/5/6/6.5 dont have frame blending, so they will show frame-skipping in your movie (jitters) about every 6 frames or so...which looks horrible... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. Aside froma couple of people that I need to hear from (which I hope will be positive) most camera-folks agreed on selling a few extra copies. The DVD will run at around 32 minutes and it's compiled from around 14 hours of kick-ass wingsuit footage from the Hercules boogie. I can honestly say there isn't one single shot on this DVD that's not jaw-droping :) Our short movie Ghostrider (as seen on bird-man.com) will also be on the DVD for your enjoyment :) If you want one, send me a PM or email at inclinefx.ltd@kabelfoon.nl before monday the 8th (after that I"m having them duplicated) The price will just be covering expenses (duplication/postage) The whole thing will also appear online a while after everyone has recieved his DVD, so aside from way better quality on the DVD, you don't need to buy it if you want to see it. Thank you for all the possitive replies..hope you'll like the whole DVD just as much... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. My mail works, but maybe you need to use the mail adres the rest of the world uses to contact me, instead of my hotmail-spambox? :p JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. It was only ment as a thing for the people who where there. Also since the footage in there belongs to about 15 different camera-men. I'd have to ask them all, and see if we can work something out (maybe offering it at just the cost of DVD/cover/postage). If there's any more interest, send me a PM and I'll try and work something out. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Having them duplicated next week, so all the herc-birds should have them a couple of days later... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. Hi folks, I just uploaded a small trailer for the Hercules Boogie - Wingsuit Edition DVD (non-commercial, only made for the folks who where there) to give you a small taste of whats coming. Check it out at skydivingmovies.com, special thanks to PilotDave for the awesome service!! Hope you like it! http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1801 mirror (thanx to Bo/Obi) http://www.flyinggnu.dk/?page=5&mode=showvideo&id=90 Cheers, Jarno JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. The heli jumps I did with my wingsuit where with open arm-wings, and a closed legwing. Once you build up a bit of speed, just slowly open the legwing... So yea...just like you sayd...ooh, and smile :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. MSNBC Click NBC entertainment - The week in video for a video of a jump into a/the cave. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. there's some video and pics of it at www.joereger.com (somewhere in there) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Thanx! Glad you liked it :) I made this and a ton of other stuff together with a good friend of mine. We do a lot of this stuff for fun. We made an earlyer matrix inspired skydiving-short (although not that much jumping in there sadly) as a club-boogie intro. It can be found at www.skydivingmovies.com somewhere (search for matrix) Filming took 1 full day, and the editing and animation of the birdman en fake airplane took about 2 weeks (next to our normal day-jobs) Cost a few sleeples nights to get it done in time for the Hercules Boogie, which is what we made it for (just for fun, had nothing to do with the 'official' boogie video) There where a few posts about this earlyer in the regular forum about a month ago. But anyways...always great to hear people liked it :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Something of about that length yea.. And coming from about about 14 hours of source material from about 15 people flying camera and a lot of ground material (going through all that was hell, but worth it) I think it's safe to say that the stuff in there will make the choice between a good p*rn-magazine and this boogie video quite hard...hehe The ground to air shots of those 15 to 17 ways are waaayyyy cool!! JP's video as a rabbit is incredible, your exits and video, craigs videos, Andy Fords stuff...and so on....I could have just dumped all the rough material to a tape and it would have been worth watching:) Okay...enough hyping...time to deliver... I hope one or two more weeks of patience and you'll have 'the goods' JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. It'll run at about 40 minutes and has only the best shots of almost every camera-flyer that was at the boogie :) I would have hoped to have this done a month ago already but a hospitalisation and 3 week recovery period kinda ruined that. Had some heart-rythem problems, luckely 'only' due to too little sleep/too much work for over a year. But my health is 100% (heart/vains/lungs..everything:)). But two weeks later..As luck would have it, hospital again. 'this time' my appendix went bad. So I was rushed to the hospital last thursday and had it removed.. I've just gotten back home and will be back on the editing as soon as I can sit upright again :) That's the second 'hospital-interuption' in two months. Luckely not a long one this time. No jumping for me the coming month or so. But only 1 day of editing left untill it's done. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. Need to learn and read before I reply to a totaly different subject :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. It's been a while, but this sunday I'm smoothing out the final bits in editing, and then we'll start pumping out DVD's and sending them to all the Herc boys, and upload it a small bit later! CYa! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. Haven't had a reserve-ride yet...(480 jumps) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. Just make sure you tell any birdman exiting after you if you plan to open high....so they can...ehh....avoid you (sorta:)) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. There was a guy with a sugerglider at the herc boogie, and he wanted to come on a dive. At exit, he flew out of frame (up!!!) on the herc prop-blast at such an incredible speed that it looked like a leaf got thrown out. We've seen Andy Ford and Vesa pull of some amazing high exits from the herc, reaching insane hights..way, way above the plane...but what we saw that guy do in his SugerGlider was just amazing.. I'll see if I can upload the exit to skydivingmovies.com tomorrow. I remember the guy saying it was his 3d jump on the Sugerglider (he did have other type of wingsuit experience I believe) and I believe he sayd he made an easy 3 minute dive (on his first flight ever with it) from 12K back in South Africa.. Too slow to flock with other suits, but amazing airtime.. p.s. To all Herc birds, I'm finishing off on the editing, the DVD should be ready to ship in one to one and a half weeks...I'll ask Jari to put it on Birdman.com for everyone to download shortly after that! 22. I forgot that it was already online at Skydivingmovies.com This is basicly an intro we made for our club boogie (june 2003) Was shot in 2 afternoons, and edited in a week or so..pretty rush rush...but it turned out nice.. And it also has that Cutaway© type of acting in it If anyone ever has any serious idea's for a short interesting film on skydiving (more serious subject matter)...lemy know...always interested in making something good..(instead of just comedy-pieces/attempts) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. If you want to do it with Premiere, Deinterlacing wil get you decent results. No jagged egdes. Just a few skips in the footage (30fps/25fps problems) Which is anoying... Sucky Premiere fix: on NTSC 2 PAL, slowing the video down a bit (to +-80% I believe) will almost rid you of that problem. On PAL 2 NTSC, speeding it up at +-120% also rids it of frameskips (but your footage will be a bit too fast) In After effects, import the NTSC or PAL footage, choose to only use one field (even or uneven) so it it's deinterlaced. Then put it in a PAL or NTSC composite, and choose 'frame blending' This will generate new frames (when going from 25 fps to 30 fps) or blend them together (when going from 30fps to 25fps) When going from NTSC to PAL you can also choose to do direct-frame conversion. Resulting in 10 minutes of NTSC becoming 12 minutes of PAL video (it will become a slight slowmo) You can do that by importing your footage in After Effects, and just changing the framerate when it's interpeting the footage on import (and again, choose to only use 1 field) Finaly, on both conversions you'll have to scale the video a bit. Because PAL and NTSC have different resolutions. NTSC to PAL 120% PAL to NTSC 80% (if I remember correctly) DON'T FORGET TO PUT ANTIALIASING TO HIGH! PM me if you have questions, that I can help with ps. Sorry if I came across as a biatch in that last post, didn't mean to... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. I used a standard EU standard PAL Sony PC8, on a standard PC with a standard Firewire port (no specialized card) on standard Adobe Premiere to capture video from an NTSC tape. Getting true NTSC video into my PC. (And then used After effects to convert that into PAL standard) I've done this before on several PC's. You don't need any specialized cards, software or anything...just takes some tinkering to get it to work. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. I'll try and upload our Matrix skydiving short to Skydivingmovies.com tonight :) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
