Pay a jump and I'll teach you after effects :P I also use AE to do stuff like adding protrack data on top of video's. Pretty cool. If you know Photoshop inside out, and you know how to use Adobe Premiere, then After Effects should be easy to pick up (as it's probably best described as photoshop 'on wheels') JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I use it a lot. Mostly for compositing of 3D animation, visual effects and color-grading, and stuff like DVD menu backgrounds and such... Here's some samples http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~fxcordia/showreel/showreel_mccordia2004.wmv JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

You just need to put all your plugs in upside down an everything wil be fine neeh...but some camera's probably can flip the image as some sort of effect, but doing it during editing with a program like Premiere, Media Studio, Miro Studio (enter any program of choice here)....is probably easyest.. Great video! That longer boom really helps in keeping the image free of distortion. When you see my moving footage, it looks like a skydiving Umpa-Lumpa. With yours everything keeps it's proportions. I don't think I'd dare to mount my camera further away from my face, it would become too heavy. But I'm guessing that's a lipstick-cam you are using (and that the camera is in the pouch on your belly)? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I'll post a pic as soon as I'm jumping it again (I'm missing the ball-joint attachment piece that I'm borrowing from a friends footmount for this) hopefully in 2 weeks or so. But I've attached a rough sketch of what it looks like. Nothing fancy. I think most people will be able to fabricate something like this. It snaps onto the manfrotto plate on top of my helmet, and has 2 small ball-joints that help aim the camera (side-views would also be possible, but wouldn't want to try that in fear of passing risers on opening) Because it's quite close to my head, the weight is not really an issue. But a heavyer (photo)camera, or placement further away from your head would/could probabl put a lot of strain on your neck. One of those lipstick-cams would probably be ideal for something like this, as the weight is not an issue, and you could even put it 1 meter in front of you if you'd want to (making you into a flying narwal) Anyways...check the attachment JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

So that's why your homepage doesn't have any close-ups of your face But yea..I know it's not the most romantic view of myself I'll ever see, but I excitement won over from shame when it came to showing the result But when wearing cool goggles or a reflective visor it might actualy look cool, instead of the 'retard in a fishtank' look it has now I'm borrowing part of this setup from a friend (using part of his foot-mount) I'm jumping it again in 2 weeks, I'll post a pic of the setup then. And feetflyer...here's a pic to prove that I can find other people to jump with I miss jumping with you though...(no matter how much fun those snow-mobiles might be) Nobody else I know would deliberately totaly screw up an exit from the Herc just to 'flip the bird' at the camera and get a laugh Cya l8rs! I'd been jumping my Gath helmet with visor (see my avatar) before this jump, and walked into the plane without ever thinking about taking along goggles. I usualy don't jump without goggles The camera is on a small jointed arm (short one) so it can move around a bit if I want different views, or more background (ponting the camera to the side a bit). The lens of the camera is only a few centimeters away from my nose. The weight/strain on my neck is much less then what I feel wearing the flat-top pro from a friend, with front-mounted stills. The lens on this jump was a 0.3 I'm going to try it with a 0.25 lens from Waycool lateron. There's a big flocking weekend in Holland next month (16/17 April) with about 20 registered Birds. I'm going to try and shoot some cool footage with this setup. I was thinking about putting a mirroring visor on my helmet. That would also add a front-view to the image. But no matter what, I will be wearing goggles... Although it actualy wasnt too bad, because the camera was shielding/breaking the wind in front of my eyes. I did a few rolls and a frontflip. Its really wierd to see your body move and have your head remain stationary in the frame The footage under canopy was also pretty cool. Definately something I'm gonna have a lot of fun with :) here's another still from my opening. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

http://www.indoorskydive.com/ Should open end of Summer 2005 according to the site. Roosendaal is in the bottom part of Holland (near Belgium) Might be a cool thing for germans, belgians, luxemburgers and dutchmen (and women:) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Great pics.. What are the speeds when flocking with 4 V-1's? I imagine a lot slower (down) then the 70 to 80 mph most flocks are cruising!? With all the new high performance suits, big flocks will probably also fly much longer (if everyone has the same range, in terms of his suit)??? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

When can we see it!!!! PUT IT ONLINE!! FOOTAGE!!! MOVING PIXELS! GIMME GIMME!! WANNA SEEEEEEE!! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

It looks like the legwing is just not completely inflated with the top V-1 flyer, and folded back a bit? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

With me it wasn't a procedure I'd thought up beforehand. It always thought I would go straight for a normal reserve procedure. I'll see if I can upload the video sometime later this week.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I've had a pilotchute in tow past summer (have even it on video somewhere) Pull at +- 3000 ft. Uppon throwing out, instead of the usual feeling of the bag coming off, I felt noting. looked back and saw the pilot dancing in the wind, but no pin pulled. I reached back and gave a hit against the bridle, which caused the pin to come out, and main to start opening. From throwing out, to realizing nothing was hapening, hitting the bridle causing an opening, only took 1 or 2 seconds. I was open at about 2100 ft. It was a small F111 collapsable pilotchute that came along with a secondhand main (merrit170), and switched with my normal (non collapsable pilot) for a few jumps. But it was taken 'out of action' after this event (old, leaky) The pilot was cocked correctly (also shows on video) but just lacked the pull-force to get the pin out. If it's a pilot-in tow (not due to an uncocked pilot) I think there will be enough force/pull on the bridle to prevent it from wrapping around your hand if you hit/pull on it. About available time.... my reaction was kinda instincive....If an action like this would mean you'd have to think about it for a couple of seconds before taking an action like this, then you'll probably already be too low... Waaay cool! When viewing that big triangle/wedge formation, is that something that is flown in one plane (is the leading flyer on the same level as the ones in the back) or is this something that's stacked upward towards the back or the formation? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Drop Rolf Brombach a line. He's a german BMI and does lots of touring around boogies/wingsuit events. He'll probably be able to tell you everything you want to know http://www.skydive.de/index.php?area=act&group_id=&id=13 JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Premiere saving movie as Windows Movie file?
mccordia replied to Deuce's topic in Photography and Video
Windows Media encoder would be the way to go yea Upgrading to Premiere Pro might be a cool option for the future though.. It can compress to almost any format (with a gazillion handy presets) including .wmv and .mov. through the Adobe Media Encoder (part of Premiere) with great results (in terms of small filesize/ good quality) And it has a MPG1/MPG2 exporter, and can burn to DVD straight from the timeline (automaticly transforming timeline-markers into chapters), or just export to a DVD/VCD/S-VCD MPG that you can smack to DVD via any other menu-making app (like Encore) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
So many new suits...so little video... Does anyone actualy fly it, or is it just floor decoration...post those video's damnit JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

In photoshop (or any other photo-app) resize your pictures to 640x480, then save em as .jpg in quality 4, or 40% (that should get em small enough to attach em here) No more excusses...pics! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Try to render your project to one big file (file>timeline>export to file>microsoft DV avi) Import that .avi into a blank project (and defrag your HD) and export that one to tape. This way premiere doesn't have to calculate transitions and skip across your harddisk to different clips. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Mayde I should have the guys at PD install a zipper in the center cell of my main, and jump that JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I'm wondering what would happen is you where to take this design, and then add grippers/extenders to the arm-wings like on a V1 (enlarging the arm-wings even more), and enlarging the tail to extend a small bit past the feet. That would make for an insane amount of surface area... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

You'd need one of those special wingsuits used in tombraider2. Untill exit it's just like a freefly suit. The wings don't come out untill you are actualy flying.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
