Nothing wrong with wire and insulation tape. Thousands of perfectly usable and safe taxis are kept running on South African roads through the libral use of wire and insulation tape. Although in this case, seeing that this is an aircraft we are talking about I would imagine that in the interests of extra safety the wire and tape would have been dispenced with in favour of a shifting spanner or vice grips..

You are so right. I also forgot the HUGE Orlando Pirates....up the Bucs decal on the rear window so that the pilot cannot see out of that one either. Imagine jumping the thing. As you get to the spot you lean forward, slip the co-pilot (Guardtjie) R150 and say "here". Said lime green Cessna will come to a dead halt in under 3 meters so you can get out.

I am surprised they got it back in the same condition. I would have expected it to have been fitted with alloy wheels and extra spoilers. To have been repainted a bright lime green and have a Rajiets silencer services sticker on the rear window. To have stereo system that can wake the dead installed under the pilots seat and an AK47 stashed under the co-pilots seat. Finally seating space would have been increased from 6 to 16.

If I had a 14 year old daughter I would prefer her to hide and hope rather than pull off one or two meaningless shots which would result in her being caught, beaten, gangbanged, tortured and finally killed. Have you seen war up close? Do you understand what fear and helplessnes can do to people. Have you any idea what a 'civilised' man is capable of when he gets the enemy at his feet and the fear and adrenaline is still pumping........... My baby will stay in the attic thank you very much.

There is humour and then there is a line. I believe you just stepped over it

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lawrence Binyon, 'For the Fallen' I drive past a fire station on the way to work every morning. They have their flags at half mast today.

Yup. I find humour in most things. It is what makes life bareable. What I laugh at and what I believe in do not have to be the same thing...particularly when the joke is on me. Learn, understand, care and laugh...always laugh.
-
ROTFLMAO Now THAT is in bad taste
-
Probably not.....there again I am not American How many African jokes have YOU laughed at recently. My great uncle fought in both WW1 and WW2. My father in WW2 Your point is....? When last did you think about the Holocaust? Months? Years? I don't know. What I do know is that you certainly thought about it yesterday......My work here is done. Humour has it's place. Peace
