Feel your pain, last year had a very nasty spider bite, that needed some attention. Went to the emergency room hoping to get a doctor to write a perscription and send me out the door. Nope would have to wait for about 8 hours prior to being seen. Just an observation, I was the only white guy in the waiting room that evening and it was packed with families with small children running around crying. I went home as well, drained the wound and place hot towels on it until the morning before seeing my family doctor. My wife several weeks later needed to go to the same emergency room, was in a examination room and x-rayed in less than an hour. Saw the doctor in about 2 hour to 2.5 hours later.

Interesting to ponder who would be behind such an attack if that's what it is. U.S. Special Ops maybe? OK, I confess, I did it. It was an accident I tell ya, not my fault. I was fishing for some Mud Cats, Uhh that's Cat Fish down in these parts but I digress. Fishing the bottom, I thought I caught me one of them there big ones, one of the biggest Mud Cats ever, one for the record books I thought. I struggled to land that thing for some hours until low and behold there it was a big dame uggly cable. I was troubled for sure, being I spent so much time and effort in landing that Cat only to be some Ocean trash. Any way to save time getting my hook out of it, I cut it off with my Rambo knife. sorry for the inconvenance.

I guess 46% of the entire world's military spending still isn't enough
Channman replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
While your crying over those expenses, I'm just alittle concern about those entitlements that are running about 70% of the current U.S. budget. Need to look at some tough ideas to rain in the Social Security, Medicare, Medicad. -
So why is it we're paying more than $2.50/gallon?
Channman replied to mailin's topic in Speakers Corner
> when gas was 1.60 a gallon I remember in 1996 I believe it was we took a four week vacation to see the Grand Canyons, Painted Desert, the California Coast Line. I remember pumping gas in houston for $1.34 and in San Deigo around 1.58. I thought at the time that was exspensive. -
I'm sure it's just a free speach issue. If only the Marines would go to the City asking for a 6 month parking space and protest permit they could tell the city of Berkley to "Kiss our Ass"

>...you poor guys pay the $500/month for gas that you put into your hummer. Hey I own a Hummer, and I don't pay $500.00 a month, or at least I don't think so. Never crossed my mind how much it was costing, I only new that it could squash a Yugo. -
Should the Oil Companies pay for Oil Wars?
Channman replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
> Oil Wars... Must be a slow day for ya, to come up with this crap. Oil Wars? Did congress declare a Oil War? I think you need to hit the eject button on that car you drive, I think it might be the letter "E" or is it "G"? -
AG Mukasey STILL doesn't know if waterboarding is torture
Channman replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
I still think its a good method for getting information. I've done some waterboarding in my time, you get though it a whole lot better with Scuba Gear. -
Zut Alors and Sacre Bleu - French Bank loses Billions
Channman replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
Why pretend? Citi to write down $17B in bad mortgages Bank of America to write down $5.2B in CDOs Citi as a company reports to have near 2 Trillion in assets...17Billion in bad loans may be alittle troubling, but I doubt Citi will be looking to the US Tax payers for a bailout, un-like other industries have in the past. -

Channman replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
Armed conflicts against the US tend to stop after a fairly large number of Nukes land on several large cities. This little adventure you dream of has no happy ending for all involved and very could well lead to a global war. Be careful for what you wish for, you may not like the out come. -
Just a Question: Does China allow Prisoners to Op out prior to getting a bullet in the back of the head. I seem to remember reading somewhere that China makes the Big Bucks in the Body Parts business.

"Guns take pride of place in US family values."

Ahh...A defender of freedom, as this little one gets older, will it have IR targeting capability? This little one will have all kinds of goodies soon!! I should buy a good cage for it though, ya know, so it can`t get loose and take over trhe world or anything. Have a Colt AR myself, little bastards truely are hard to tame...had to lock mine in a steel safe just to insure it knows who's boss. But I let it out once and awhile to chew on a few things to keep its teeth clean. -

I had the opposite with the Hornet 190. When I entered the sport 3 years ago and after student training I purchased a new rig with a used Hornet 190 main. 240 plus jumps with it, with no problems, very nice snivels and soft openings. When I replaced the line set, very hard openings until the 20th jump on the new line set that whacked me. I have a friend that I worked with at NASA (Master Rigger) look it over the other day to compare the lines with the Trim data provided. The A-B / B-C / C-D are all within spec except 1/8 inch difference on lines 1-10, and about 1/4" difference on 2 & 9 and 3-8 on the money. The small differences are within tolerance however the Brakes were 2.50 inches above D for full flight (4") is the spec. length and 2.50 inches below C with brakes set (4") is the spec. lenght. I don't know if you can contribute the constaint hard openings to the brake lines as they are currently configured. I never done a psycho pack before and If I were to try that is there any added concern for malfunctions over and above a Pro Pack?

That's a creature of state law, and each state may be different. How does your home state of Ca. handle these two questions?

I've just gotten back to this thread and apologize for not having all the details that have gotten this thread to were it is. After reading several of the post and responses, I have a couple of question that maybe Lawrocket could answer. If a minor child was to go to their school clinic and advise the nurse they were pregnant and wanted to seek advice on terminating the pregnancy. (1) Can the school without the parents involvement / notification transport said minor to a clinic where the abortion could be preformed? (2) If said child was to develop serious complications during the night and fearing to inform their parents died of blood loss during the night. Could the school district, Nurse, Clinic be held responsible for the death as well as civil libility for providing medical treatment to a minor without parential consent? Just one more thing, I would like to apologize to Kallend for Hi-jacking this thread. I would just like to say, "It's not my fault".

Appriciate everyones help, had the line set change prior to measuring the old line set to check to see if there might be any difference between the old and new. When the chute was returned to me, the lines seems to be several inches longer because it set much lower on my shoulder than I remembered. I also began having very hard openings when I jumped it and on the 20th jump the opening was so hard it cracked two of my ribs and left my skin raw around where the harness fits to the body. I'm having a rigger confirm the line set to the data you've provided. Thanks for you help

Does anyone have the Trim requirements for a Hornet 190, or do they know where the documentation can be found on the internet if possible? Thanks

> but I feel the most guilt for all those potential humans who ended up in a sock/tissue/pillowcase without ever even being exposed to the warmth of another human being at all... I would like to apologize for finding the above sick humor funny as hell. This thread has the potential to have some pretty damn funny stuff written in it.

Thanks man, your the best...and in keeping with your full discloser I would like to apologize to all the Germans that my Grand Daddy and my dad dropped bombs on during WWI & WWII, they were just doing their jobs.

Ita easy to get confused when words are dropped. So teaching intelligent design is not so much the issue as long as its not considered science.
-
> NAS began revising the booklet during a highly publicized 2005 court case in Dover, Pennsylvania (ScienceNOW, 20 December 2005). The judge ruled that teaching intelligent design in the science classroom is unconstitutional. Little confused as to how the teaching of intelligent design in a classroom becomes a constitutional matter. Teaching little Jimmy how to put a condom on a banana so he can stick it to Jill doesn't seem to cause a constitutional crisis, why then intellignet design? Enlighten Me in to the ways of Liberal thinking. What happen to the Freedom of Ideas which is so important in the class room?
