Seems to be a growing trend for many companies to do away with traditional Pensions to be replaced with 401k programs or in some cases no program. The pensions of many states are in troble as well. With American families saving -1.3% of their income, the lowest sence the Great Depression and the same individuals dependant on their companies/government to provide ever increasing benefits with little input themselfs is a growing problem.

> On the evidence of what I see here it 'tends' to be right leaning people who are pro-gun, and it 'tends' to be right leaning people who are more likely to take the line of "You have to support the decisions the President makes". Maybe, and I don't know this for sure that JohnRich response might be, that Left leaning people tend to be running for cover, while right leaning people who are pro-gun are covering their asses while said group is running for cover.

Brain function of liberals & Conservatives differs

In his world... after reading his posts for several years.. yes he is. I asked someone "Are you a moderate?" They responded positively. Try it anytime, you will be surprised. Then I quickly jumped in with "Do you support abortion on demand?" And I get a quick no. So you probe on to what the persons position on abortion is and its about as pro life as you can be. Thats no moderate. They just want everyone to like them. Call themselves moderate to avoid confrontation. And on the other side, I know people who salivate over McCain in one breath "...as the moderate that this country needs." And in the next breath parrot Moore's accusations straight from Farencrap 911 against the evil AWOL doper Bush. That is not a moderate. There are no moderates. As a political label, its a misnomer. Now you might have moderate liberals as opposed to radical liberals, but I think you will find their core positions are about the same. And someone might call themselves a moderate republican, but I bet they are a liberal. In fact, we conservatives have a serious problem, because there are allot of "moderate" republicans. Look at the Coburn vote. Apparently there are twelve conservatives in the senate. Now, many liberals were in support of the War in Iraq, so its not a particularly good issue for the detractors of this theory. Conversely, it does not contradict my assertion because there were no moderate positions on the war. And certainly the modern conservative position is to actively protect our national interest overseas. So I propose to call all moderates just plain liberals. And to combat the ridiculous compassionate conservative label. Conservatism is far more compassionate than the enslavement of liberal socialism, and it was so long before needing the compassionate moniker. If you have to call yourself moderate or compassionate, you need to get comfortable with your beliefs and positions as a conservative. Otherwise, your just another liberal. -

A conservative will start a war in order to bring peace. A liberal will protest the war in favor of peace, and throw molotov cocktails, rocks and perform other associated acts of violence to prove their point. Damn, Bro your on a roll today -

> We're not free to go to the beach topless here. I'm thinking of several places in the US, that does allow the above lawfully. 1) Hippy Hollow, the only sactioned Texas State Park that allows Total Nudity, however it is patrolled by the State Police. 2) High Island, has a nude beach, I damn near got into the scrap metal business with a PHI helicopter flying over it several years back. This beach is also patrolled by the police who will ticket or even take you to jail for being nude. 3) A town in Vermont up until recently allowed people to roam the streets totally nude.

No, it is not, it is against the law, you actucally get arrested if you beat anyone, even the act of threateaning a woman, can get you a restraining order. What you "forget" to mention in your reply, that the difference is being a matter of choice, and the view that some wife-daughter-female beatings at Islamic law based countries are lawful under and for certain conditions, including death for adultery, while the male population gets better and lighter punishment for the same offences. Not to beat this to death, but all to often in many muslim countries, women are treat very poorly, almost as slaves. In some cases, women cook for the men and can not eat until the men are finished and then only what is left over. I'm sure we could go round and round, but the images and stories of abuse to these women have left many here in the West think not so highly of muslim men. Just a question, "A Indonesian Ferry capsizes in the Java Sea, dumping more than 400 people into shark invested waters." Do muslim men see to it that their wives that they LOVE so much and their Daughters are assisted into life boats first or are they beaten back by being told, "No women, No women". Think carefully, before you answer. cheers

Looks like a great suit to drown in. Muslim men don't care much for their women anyway, seeing they have no more value than a dog.

Yo mama so fat, when she puts on her black dress she looks like Outer Space.

Source My wife's Hummer is clasified as a Truck...not to mention our 179 deduction made it a win win. The best part about it, is it gets far better gas milage than a M1 Tank.
-
I'm writing some of this crap down, the above was yet one of the best. But I shall try and do better... Yo mama so fat, when she gets a headache, she spreads mayonnaise on her aspirin.
-
That was good, I think I could do better... Yo mama is so fat, when she was diagnosed with a flesh eating desease the doctors gave her 85 year to live.

California Ballot Initiatives on Electoral College
Channman replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
Keep the Electoral College as is, and bring back the Representative Replublic. -
Bill, in the furture I would appreciate it if you would not use anything I might have written in the past, pointing out possible flaws in my positions that I've taken here from time to time. It could be a big pill to swallow.

Has PETA signed off on this policy?

I will admit, I'm not a believer in the GW issue as currently being protrade in the media. I must however admit its pretty hot in Houston this afternoon but I do remember hotter days as a young lad. > (Or alarmists, of course.) Alarmist does that apply to folks like myself i.e. a denier, the GW crowd or both?

The poor old Scandinavian moose is now being blamed for climate change, with researchers in Norway claiming that a grown moose can produce 2,100 kilos of methane a year -- equivalent to the CO2 output resulting from a 13,000 kilometer car journey. Norway is concerned that its national animal, the moose, is harming the climate by emitting an estimated 2,100 kilos of carbon dioxide a year through its belching and farting. Norwegian newspapers, citing research from Norway's technical university, said a motorist would have to drive 13,000 kilometers in a car to emit as much CO2 as a moose does in a year. Bacteria in a moose's stomach create methane gas which is considered even more destructive to the environment than carbon dioxide gas. Norway has some 120,000 moose but an estimated 35,000 are expected to be killed in this year's moose hunting season, which starts on September 25, Norwegian newspaper VG reported. As a personal note, is the killing of 35,000 mommy and Daddy mooses Norway's method of providing a carbon offset? This is just on of many reasons it so hard for me to take the GW Fear Religion seriously. But I will admit they can be a source of humor. I'm just a little fella trying to make since of it all, bunch of wacko GWarmers farting everywhere, whats up with that.

> Countrywide is going to be fine. The majority of their loans are not in the sub-prime market. Countrywide was responsible for 1 out of every 6 home loans in the United States in the 1st half of this year. Wednesday of this week the company was said to be having trouble borrowing money on a short-term basis, securities analysis discussed the possiblility of a Countrywide bankruptcy and the fact that their stock price tumbled an additional 13% bring its losses for the year to 50% as not been helpful. Currently life is uncertain for the 61,500 employees.

Damn, Now you got me filling like an ASS. And I'm suppose to be banned from this site for the next week and a half. My apologies for not being more civil in my response.

> Bear in mind that I am not OFFENDING but, I have no idea how well read you are or what level of education you have obtained but, from what I can tell from your past post is that you have done little or no research at all. You seem only to parrot what you have heard from the likes of Tom Delay or that of the Southern Baptist. I highly recommend that you do some intense research on your own or sign up for a political science class at a (GASP!!!!) community college. And this coming from what, an Educated ASS? As Captain Hook would often say, "Bad Form". I will impose a self banning for the remainder of the week and all next week for being so to the point.

The primary problem with your confusion is the word you use "Religions". Christians, i.e. true followers of Christ don't believe in Religions, but have a personnal relationship with Christ, and as it says in the scriptures will return as a thief in the night.
