  1. Well maybe the Tavern will have to be the gathering place of all the many millions that poured out the good will and money as they did for the Katrina victims to help rebuild their communities. In less of course they can't find a dime to lend to a primarly white community.
  2. But do you still plan on voting for any Nationalist Socialist in 2008?
  3. > Legal fees - Depends. How much you got? With all the unknowns we have decided not to shop there that day. I'm a firm believer in Capital Punishment, and living in Texas, a state that is the most strict and with a greater resolve to follow through I sometimes thing we are way to slow in executing the Guilty. Now I know there are those who think there is a posibility that we could execute an innocent victim. I think if we have Video and Eyewittnesses to prove beyond any doubt their guilt they should be on a fast pace to receive the Happy Juice. That should trim down our death row roster and provide additional space for the next group coming in. The remainder can have the countless appeals before taking the same walk if still found guilty.
  4. Just my thoughts, My son is the one shot and killed by the stick-up man. I'm in the back of the store with a shot gun. I quickly give the stick up man the death penalty right there on the spot. Seeing that he has a look out, I quickly without thinking give him the death penalty with a shot to the chest. The getaway driver speeds off fearing for his own life, leaving me dropping to the floor in tears and greaving over my dead sons body. Just my thoughts, how much will it cost me in court fees and or time in prison for giving the two worthless pieces of trash what they had coming to em.
  5. > ...is based on the refinery requirements to meet "summer/winter" blends. Those blends are locally regulated. A refinery has to meet the demands at a county, sometimes municipal level. Something I've always wondered...why do we not require a national blend of now more than 3-5 types of fuel for cars. California I think has somewhere near 14 different types. If we reduced the number of blends we could increase the available supply and bring down cost.
  6. Lawrocket, Just a heads up, on the 1st Amendment there are 5 rights quaranteed to us but you only mentioned 4. Guess which one it is, hint, they are loathed by many on the Left and Right.
  7. More terriorist should try it... Oh maybe they are, they call it a suicide vest. Maybe thats what we are missing, terriorist are in so much pain, and suffering, hating their very own existance that they have the incredible urge to Euthanasize themselves as well as any on lookers. Maybe Margaret Pabst Battin has a book on the subject that we can reference for further discussion.
  8. > Q: A lot of people don't realize that documentaries are not meant to be balanced and neutral -- they always have a point of view. So what is the slant or agenda of "Islam vs. Islamists"? Took this quote from another thread, is it possible that Moyer's documentary was meant to be bias toward his point of view. Just kicking it around, thinking out loud so to speak.
  9. Come on... how outdated.... We need a troops surge... send all the fuckers and their children who got America into this crap and are so staunch in their "support" of the war....like they fucking have a clue of what they have caused.... and in their minds.. hell those who volunteered knew what they were getting into( except fo the stop loss and extensions of tours of duty etc.. talk about changing the rules when it suits THEM) Its kind of like an actor accepting an award....by thanking all the "little people"....they really believe that THEY are the only ones worthy...their EGO's demand that. And they are TOOO important to actually serve themselves...or to have THEIR children serve... they are far better than that.... serving is for those who cant afford better. I guess the $1,000.00 reward is no longer in play.
  10. I'd be interested to see those pointed out. I thought he did a good job of showing how complicit the media was in the lead up to the war. No one (but Knight Ridder) was asking any of the obvious questions. They were just taking the talking points and repeating them. It wasn't reporting, it was reciting. The Washington Post publicly apologized for doing it and Colbert had a good time with it at the press dinner last year. Not that I expect much to change, but the first step to getting better is admitting that you have a problem. I was watching it while cleaning the pool, so I did'nt catch all of it. I do believe he referenced and was critical of the New York Times reporting leading up to war. Bennard Goldberg, if I spelled his name correctly made several mentions of how several news clips used in Moyers piece were taken a piece here and a piece there to come to a conculsion that other news sources where labeling journalist as being un american with their reporting and thus pressuring them or sliming them as Dan Rathers put it to remain silent or otherwise jump on board if you don't want a target on your back. In essence, though clever editing he was able to get sound bites that helped him present a picture that was not fare or accurate.
  11. Bill Moyer and Dan Rather getting all warm and cozy. The piece had many inaccuracies as pointed out by other news sources. It was a Big Lib telling the story as he sees it. As Dan Rather put it so clearly, they have a well oiled slime machine even though he was referring to Foxnews, I use it in reference to the Liberal Media. The media as a whole is loathed by a majority in the US. The Libs hate em, but love their own, and the Consv. hate em, but love their own. Media ranks below used car salesman and insurance agents. But I digress, it was an excellent program viewed by fewer than a million people, but to its targeted audience it was a success.
  12. That was it, "reception". I can't find the link to the story, I'm almost positive it was in the Washington Post. The only thing I can find was a NYT article leading up to the soirée, so I don't have the actual post party figure. It may have been only $22 million in the article. I just remember arguing with a Bush apologist about it, damn.....six years ago! Maybe they purged the articles from washtingtonpost.com to make room for the Iraq war. If I stumble across it I'll let you know. I'm thinking Lexis Nexis can help you locate the article in question.
  13. 24 mph over the limit, I guess that rules out defensive driving. That ticket going to stay on the record for sometime. Slow it down, and help save a family.
  14. Without getting to involved in a Liberal Blog, it boils down to seperations of power. This will get worked out in the courts for sure. This subpoena will be one of many that will be issued by the Dems to the Admin. that will be challenged. Now back to my self imposed banning from DZ.Com. Oh, completly off topic, put congrads to Kallend and all the others for being apart of the Texas State Record 150 way.
  15. It's scary to think that some people actually believe that if the government bans guns, that murderous people won't still be able to get them, or to figure out some other way to kill. I really hate to see this turn into a gun thread, but I have a feeling that the Brady/anti-gun people are going to jump on this like crazy. Now if we find out that he transported himself there in a SUV, we can have a Brady/anti-gun global warming threesome. I believe the number is 31 with the wacko killing himself or killed by the police making it 32. Damn, I'm suppose to be on a self imposed banning for two weeks.
  16. It's somewhat counter productive to give out rewards leading to less personal attacks when you continue to take stabs at those you disagree with as referenced above. I will once again impose a self banning from DZ.Com for two weeks. PS..if you find yourself at skydive spaceland in the near future, I'll be the guy in black and yellow smiling and otherwise being a kind and gental soul.
  17. So, you finally admit there was this early form of life. See, your starting to come around, and to think Amazon thinks its some kind of monster.
  18. > (depending on what the estimate du jour was for our initial atmospheric mix.) So ahah...how did this initial atmospheric mix come into being?
  19. What about the "hos" part? I've always loved Imus but this crossed the line. I think the two week suspension is just. I don't want to see him fired at all but people need to start taking responsibility for what they spout off. I was thinking, when was the last time Rappers had to appear before Al Sharpton, or that fella who runs that Rainbow thingy, appologizing for the content of some of their music that degrades blacks and especially black women? Who gave the right to Al Sharpton to demand that a liberal talk show host, who works for a liberal media group that he should be put out on the street. "eating their own, comes to mind".
  20. Well it appears your on the right track. But I would caution paying $20,000 down on your mortgage with out proper consideration to your over all financial plan. There is an old saying, "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer". Simply the rich understand how to put their money to work for them and maintain ownership. With out going through a long story, once you invest the 20K into your mortgage it becomes wrapped up in a home. If you become ill, disabled, or an emergency comes up you no longer have the cash and my be required to sell or refinance to get the money. Your first plan of paying 667 extra a month would be far wiser. Most 1st mortgages are based on scheduled interest with scheduled payments. Any additional payments you send would still be subject to the schedule set out in your loan documents. Consider making Bi-weekly payments with your P&I payments increase each payment with your excelleration payment of $333.50. every two weeks. Quick example: Work this out by hand so the figures will be close but not exact. 150,000 Loan with payments beginning 4/15/2007 @ 7.00% with a P & I payment of $997.92 for 360 months. P & I payments 360 months = $359,243 - 150,000 equals $209,243 in interest. If you payed Bi-weekly + your 333.50 Bi-weekly excelleration you would have the loan payed off in 9 years and 2 months saving $153,747 dollars in interest payments. Invest the $20,000 in a good diversified stock mutual fund and average 12% which I assure there are many funds that have performed as well or better. Also for the sake of my numbers there will be no annual taxes on the investment you could accumulated $64,707.12. Payed off mortgage and cash in the bank.
  21. Find anything in Foxnews, Washingtontimes, Wallstreetjornal, Americanspectator?
  22. > Nah its a reaction to all of THEIR name calling... Lets see if I can see were your coming from. Fascist Right, delusional idiots, far right Wahabist cave dwellers note to self, (who is she really referring to here?), fucking right wing chickenhawks, fascist at home, Islamo fascists abroad.... I think your coming from a place of great frustration, and all you really need as well as the rest of us is on big Group Hug.
  23. > This raises so many questions: -If he is the 'worst of the worst' how many people in Gitmo should probably not be there? -Who WOULDN'T sign that stupid affidavit? It seems it was either sign it or remain in jail forever with no appeal. Seems coercive to me. -Why a gag order? What is the government afraid he will say? -If this guy is guilty of supporting terrorists, why is his sentence so short? Burglars get stiffer sentences. Every day, the tribunals at Gitmo and the facility itself are exposed as more of a sham. Why is nobody listeding to the Defense Secretary who wants it shut down? The ZippO and Rosie love fest. Looking forward to hearing you rant with your love queen on the View.
  24. > Where did I put my Freedom Fries? I understand from the post, the Dems just want to redefine GWs catch all phrase "Global War on Terror". The one Phrase the Dems do own out right however is "Americas Defeat". The term has nothing to do with the post, but everything to do with their current political position.
  25. > If you cannot pay, then you have very limited access and it's expensive. I disagree, illegals have easy access to expensive health care with little or no money required. They just have to wait 8-10 hours in an ER room to get it. Those with very expensive health care plans have to wait 8-10 hours in the same ER to see a doctor, been there and done that twice in the last three month. On the up side, I was able to pickup some spanish lessons while I waited.
