I'm not sure if it's just worded incorrectly but that he dislikes god is a severe misconception. He does not dislike god, but he knows that he does not exist. Your correct, I should have said, his dislike for christians and any and all partakers of religion.

There's the point. I stated that it goes both ways. There are extremists on both sides and I abhor them regardless of what side I'm on. You've got Bible-thumpers who believe that nobody should be allowed to do certain things, even in the privacy of their homes. These are extremists whom I believe are not indicative of the vast majority of those with religious beliefs and practices, any more than Islamic terrorists are indicative of the vast majority of Muslims. On the other hand, you've got the hardcore atheists who believe that nobody should be allowed to practice their religions. Like Bible-thumpers hating sinners, these atheists hate the "idiots." Both sides have people on the extremes attempting to foist their viewpoints on others. You made the point. Extremists on both sides exist. I'm not selective as to which side I find repugnant. I find them both that way. For every Pat Robertson - bothered by every possible sin out there - there are thousands of Steveorinos who counsel those who ask for his counsel and proselytize nobody - except when asked. For every Michael Newdow there are thousands of others who don't see "In God we Trust" being printed on US Currency as being comparable to Jim Crow segregation laws. I see little difference between Newdow and Robertson. Well there is this one little difference, Newdow is trying to use the Courts to push his dislike for God and all things religious. Robertson uses his TV Program to push his beliefs.

The Old making way for the New

Well maybe to some degree we are still tossing paper to landfills. I just finished building a custom home in League City, and I used recycled paper i.e. cellulosic material that was treated with Boric acid as insullation for my walls and attic. Not only does it sound proof the home, it was fun pumping that stuff in. One person does the blowing and packing while another person vaccums the rebound which is recirculated and reused.

Good article, but are we trying to stir the pot, with our enviro friends this morning? Off topic, but are the same guys that were advocating Bio fuels the same individuals complaining about all the money the Oil Companies are making? The average profit per gallon being about .08 cents as were our government that does nothing to bringing a gallon of gas to the pump takes the consumer for .59 cents per gallon.

Lifes a bitch when you keep attacking a people you hate and they keep kicking your ass. That is the history of the Palistinian people since before Israel was even a state. They have vowed to destroy the state of Israel.. and unfortunately for them... the Israelis have not rolled over and let them win. SOOO they and their Arab surrogates attacked again.. and lost some more ground... and did it again.. several times. The solution is simple dont attack people... especially ones who have specialized in beating you. The palistinians lob rockets across the boarder daily... the Israilis TRY very very hard to target ONLY the Hamas and Hezbollah fighters who DELIBERATLY hide behind their civilians I highlighted that for those of you who refuse to see what the people you are championing do. Your boys target civilians indiscriminately.to them.. a dead jew is a good jew.. and time for celebration.. and keep lobbing rockets..When Israel attacks Hamas gunmen.. to Israelis celebrate with huge parades????? Hell If you want parity.. perhaps Israel should just launch UNTARGETED rocket attacks into anyplace that fires a rocket at THEIR cities..Then yall could whine in a reality based scenario of how the evil Jews are targeting civilians. Damn, did I just walk into a conservative blog from Amazon.

Speak Softly, and carry a Big Stick..."peace through strenth." Handle it like your father taught you how to handle a bully at school. Sometimes you got to learn to fight back, and when you have to, you hit them three ways; Fast, Hard and continuously. My father made a comment to me many years ago in reference to Hitler. "There is only two ways to change an evil man, (1) change is heart or (2) Put a bullet through his brain.

> (I find this to be extremely irritating). I find it to be intertaining. Obama and Hillary will have hopefully the opportunity to spend millions of dollars of their supporters money fighting it out to the end. And with any luck, they will fight it out in the courts as well as the convention. The benefit for the Rep's. is that Hillary will be the only one putting light on Obama's past and will try to expose any weakness. The Press and John McCain for some reason feel that any critical questioning of Obama will be considered racist, or the politics of dirty tricks.

Weather Channel Founder - Global Warming a Fraud
Channman replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
I am sure that after the ice on Greenland melts.. and Antarctica is just an archipelago of islands with all the ice gone.. and the attendant rise in sea level of about 75 ft or so.. that Florida and a LOT of the gulf coast will provide excellent dive sites for the people inhabiting the much smaller eastern states. Dame, I just built a new home in League City which is closer to the coast and only 42 feet ASL. I better get intouch with my Insurance guy and purchase a flood insurance policy. You have a date as to when this may occur, because I think I have like a 30 day window to get this done. -
Weather Channel Founder - Global Warming a Fraud

The current New Religion of Global Warming will soon be replaced with a New and more pressing concern. The alignment of the planets that is to occur sometime late in the year of 2012, which will cause the Earth's poles to shift and kill us all. I will be watching all this from my home on K-PAC. -
The wife and I along with several friends of ours committed Voter Suicide this morning and crossed over and voted for Hillary. Looking to keep her in the race so her and that well spoken dude can keep spending their supporters money.

I have no respect for most Unions. My first run in with a Union was about 22 years ago. Working in a Utility Tunnel there were several Light Bulbs burned out and I made several request to have the bulbs replaced. After two days working in the dark with a flash light, I replaced them myself, and within hours had a grevance filed by the Union against me to my employer. The only differance between a Union Shop and the Non-Union Shop is the cost. Non-Union most times are faster, Cheaper, and have a higher quality of work.

I was taught by my mother, sometime around the age of 5, that "Billy did it too" was NOT an excuse for bad behavior. I guess they don't teach that in Texas. Here in Texas, we learned from our momma's, "To error is human, to blame someone else is more human". But this email shit, is nothing new, when it comes to government oversite the Dems and Reps are always subject to being drug through the mud.

> It will all be different now Musharraf has lost the election. So, does this mean we will finally see peace in our time?

I'm thinking of the Law Suits that would follow after the shot to the leg. Ten of Thousands of dollars for compensation for Pain and Suffering and so on and so on. Would it not be far cheaper to provide the fatal shot or shots for all involved? -
Obama worship has echoes of the Third Reich

Okay. I still have yet to see any valid explanation of how McCain is so far left as you and other "conservatives" say he is. Ok, hold your commits, but I just heard on FOX NEWs that McCain has a 87.7% voting record where he has been in line with his party. I've researched this on the WEB, yep Washington Post has a site that publishes the voting records of our senitors. 87.7%, as well, so it must be the 12.3% thats got me pissed off. But I'm still working on a proper answer, dame this news. I'm telling ya he's bad, im digging up some dirt on this dude, just not tonight.

I don't know what that means. "Quoted For Truth." Looks like I was qfw then. I was qfw as well.

Okay. I still have yet to see any valid explanation of how McCain is so far left as you and other "conservatives" say he is. Well let me get back to you on that because I've got to go and get some lunch and a Texas Lic Sticky Thing for my daughter's car. "Maybe it's because he looks Demish to me, could that be it....nonono that can't be it. Need to listen to RUSH more to find out what to say, yea he can lead me in the right direction"

The comment was made to stir things up a bit. As for me voting for Hillary can't turely see myself tapping the button. But as a Conservative, can't tap the button for McCain, but I can tap out while crying UNCLE!!

the fiscally irresponsible, socially neconservative Texas governor we elected seven years ago. Yes, Bush is a disappointment on many levels. Spending being one of the primary ones in my book. Newt was someone I would have hoped would have run. This election feels as if Dole is running again.

February 6, 2008 -- RUNNING as a conservative, John McCain rolled up huge victories last night in New York, New Jersey and beyond. But if history is any guide, the McCain we've seen of late on the campaign trail is the most conservative McCain we'll ever see. He has taken a commanding lead in the GOP primary by packaging himself as the "true conservative" committed to limited government, to slashed federal spending and to an avowedly conservative Supreme Court. He claims the mantle of Ronald Reagan. He even claims the mantle of Barry Goldwater, conservatism's crack version of Reagan. But as McCain clinches the GOP nomination, he will begin his usual leftward lurch. He will return to his lifelong positions as soft on illegal immigration, skeptical of tax cuts and favoring strong federal control over things like campaign financing. McCain's appeal to independents and even the left is what makes him such a powerhouse in the general election. It is also precisely what has so many in the Republican base so wildly fearful of handing him the keys to the kingdom. If the Republican Party expands "because we have a candidate who's going out trying to attract liberals by being like them, then the party's going to be around but you won't recognize it," thundered radio king Rush Limbaugh. The Republican Party will "be over as it exists now," he warns. To understand just how McCain has managed to limp to the front of the GOP field, look no further than the outcome of yesterday's West Virginia Republican Convention. At the outset, victory was in the air for Mitt Romney, the flip-flopping former Massachusetts governor. He is universally loathed by all the other GOP candidates, who banded together to give all their votes to Mike Huckabee - simply to deny Romney a win. The depressing GOP field that has paved a path to victory for McCain also gave surprising wins last night to Huckabee in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, as well as in his home state of Arkansas. Still, McCain has so radicalized key conservatives that some have vowed to turn themselves into suicide voters next November by pulling the lever for Hillary Rodham Clinton over him. This last-minute blitz against McCain by Limbaugh and others, however, comes far too late. But if those conservatives sit out the general election, they will help Democrats make history by electing either the first black president or the first female president next November. churt@nypost.com Note: As a former Texas Delegate I never thought I would see the day John McCain would receive the Republican Nomination for President. I've even said so many times within this forum. After watching last nights primary returns and seeing that the Dems base is fired up with turn out almost 3 to 1 when compared to the Republicans, left me laughing to myself. I said to myself, "Self", do I sit this one out or do I commit VOTER SUICIDE and cast a vote for Hillary. Casting a Vote for Hillary, seems to me the only answer, at least if everything goes to hell, I can blame it on the LIBS History is in the making, Three Liberals Running for the presidency, (1) posing as a Rep. conservative, the other two most likely being the First Black man or Woman to represent the Free World. Cheers, This has been truely an amazing election period, that I can remember.

AMEN!! Those are the ONLY three things a government owes its people. Well at least the educate and provide healthcare...the feed part I could argue. Missed a few, Highways & bridges, and Killing the Bad people and blowing things up with really cool bombs and stuff.
