> It was an orchestrated housing bubble. In the name of "affordable housing", standards were lowered to moronic levels... I was in the car this morning listening to the news on the radio and some women who is a bus driver was being interviewed. She explaned that she hopes to hear the President will put a stop to foreclosures so that people like her would not find themselves on the streets homeless. During the interview I find out that she purchased a $800,000.00 home on a Bus driver salary and now finds herself being evicted. This crap about being homeless, hell I guess she hasn't considered renting an appartment. I guess these are the times we find ourselves, people who no longer have the ability to pull themselve up from hard times without first asking for a free ride.

> I'm a Demeecrat... It appears you and I are victims of Government schooling I have a hard time spelling as well.

New York (AP) Wall Street has turned the clock back to 1997 > "People left and right are throwing in the towel," said Keith Springer, president of Capital Financial Advisory Services. > "The biggest thing I see here is the incredible pessimism," Springer said. "The government is doing a lousy job of alleviating fears." > "There's no where to hide anymore," said Jim Herrick, director of equity trading at Baird & Co. > "There's no main driver of the down day," said Ryan Detrick, senior technical strategist at Schaeffer's Investment Research. "There's just so much skepticism in the overall market and (the question is) is the government doing proper things to get us out of this problem. Obviously the stock market is voting no." I think we are at that time where alittle Cheer, a can do attitude from our President is in store. We may not agree on alot of things, but I hope we can agree that we better find some common ground before we all find ourselves as a nation Irrelevant.

The contracts won't have the relevant information to support your assertion. If you want to support your claim, you'll need to break out some life tables and brush up on your calculus. (My experience has been that drinking and calculating probabilities and present values don't always go well together if one wants to do either properly.) > The contracts won't have the relevant information to support your assertion The contracts won't have the relevant information to suport my assertion. Damn, the contract is the most relevant item in this discussion, hell dude its the legal binding contract between the policy holder and the insurance company. It is the contract that lays the Insurance company bare, it's the document that provides the policy holder in how they are going to get an ASS Kicking if they decide to accept it without reading it. I've come to think you must be an Actuary for an Insurance company that prides itself in profiting from a family trying to do the right thing by placing them into a contract that makes no financial sense. Once again im refering to Cash Value Life Insurance policies (Contracts) not your caculator. I will accept that we do not agree. For now I must leave to go replace a cash value policy with a 30 year level term policy, its the right thing to do, not to mention it save the family 81.00 per month while giving them alittle more than twice the coverage.

I would suggest you take some classes on life insurance underwriting and pricing before making such statements. There is nothing inherently better about one type of life insurance compared to another. Different people have different needs, but the expected return per dollar paid in premium is roughly equal among all of them. Well I've been licensed in the field for more than 20 years. But what the hell do I know. A Varible Universal Life policy should work for you just fine. This is a conversation we should have over a beer while looking at individual contracts which speak for themselves. But once again we're off topic.
-
> While different kinds of life insurance are suited for different needs of different customers, none are really inherently better or worse than others. Couldn't disagree with you more. Variable Life / Variable Universal Life are some of the most dangerous policy a family could own. But were off topic.

Damn, I did'nt think I made any suggestion that I was praying for OUR economy to tank. I like you have my 401k / investments to think of, my 3 girls furture. I have hopes and dreams, but my hopes and dreams have nothing to do with supporting socialist policies that I believe will be harmful to my future and to my country as well. I would like to see Obama be successful as the President, but I disagree with the direction he appears to be taking the country. I disagree with Whole Life Insurance because its a high cost low benefit product. It provides a death benefit for the insured beneficiary but at a high cost to the family. Term Life provides 5 - 6 times more coverage for the beneficiary at 1/3 the cost to the family. Simply put, the Presidents stimulus package as currently passed is so costly that the American people like me and you and our children can hardly afford and provides little benefit. It was a plan so urgently needed that the President nor any of our elected officials read, nor as promissed posted on the WEB for all to see. Question: Has the stimulus package been post?

+2, as Rush clearly stated, If the Presidents policies are leading the US toward Socialism he hopes he fails i.e. his policies. Can't find why that is so hard to understand. Now the issue to me is do you support Socialist ideas?

The devil is in the details: 1. Do your believe the apparatus of state should be used to enforce your beliefs on abortion on those who do not share them? If yes you are a conservative, if not, liberal. 2. Are you in favour of teachers being allowed to use my tax dollars to teach my kids about your myths? If yes you are a conservative, if no, liberal. 3. This is a tricky one. Your statement on taxes is a motherhood/apple pie platitude. The question is how do we determine what each person's fair share is? 4. See above. 5. The majority of liberals do not work for unions nor are the majority of union members IMO liberals. However you sound conservative on the issue. 6. Sounds moderate-right to me. 7. Again you are stating motherhood platitudes acceptable to both sides. Got any recent immigrants in your circle of close friends? Juan who you hired to sweep the floor doesn't count. 8. We are all racists. It is all a matter of how you act upon it. For most people, we have gone beyond the "don't hire a darkie" stage. How many brown/black friends do you have? how many have been in your living room? 9. Sounds conservative to me. 10. So you choose the white man's burden over crass imperialism; Congratu-fucking-lations. A typical liberal response. Damn, they never really change.

I'm sure his intent wasn't to cause you harm but only to help point out an issue that you seem to be struggling with. Kind of like an intervention. -

Source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/23/AR2009012302814.html?hpid=sec-health There is a Big differents between a Republican and a Conservative. Also it appears from your poll there are alot of Liberals crossing over and voting as republican/conservative that support abortion. I think its very clear, that liberals are primarly the ones killing off their future.

> Limbaugh is hoping for failure . . . he's an asshole. Well I believe Rush's point was not that Pres. B. Hussain Obama should fail, but that if his policies were based on Socialist principles then he hopes he fails. If President Obama's idea of change if Socialism then I to hope he fails in bringing about this type of change. I don't think that makes me an ass-hole, just a concern citizen who likes the idea of free markets. Obama cannot give to one that he does not first TAKE from another. That about sums socialism up.

-20. I purged the votes just like a Republican You very tricky...I see now that we Republican's will need to rewrite the district maps to our favor.
-
-2 You set the standard and you adhere to it. Sacrificing your principles and any sense of honor by demanding more of your adversaries than you do of yourself may be the easy way out but it shows a complete lack of integrity. And that is no way convince anyone that your way of life is to either be respected or emulated. +10 I voted more than once, just like a democrat.

> There is no way there wil be peace if both sides continue the way they do! With absolute Victory, there can be absolute peace. Israel some day just may take off the gloves and purge Hamas from the face of the earth to be remembered no more. Hamas must be defeated completely and the people of the middle east must learn to live in peace with Israel. If not they will continue to live with War.
-
Makes a mockery of Israel's claims to be trying to avoid civillian casualties. Israel claim during combat is to not avoid civillian casualties, but instead to limit civillian casualties. An example might be, Hamas firing Rockets from a school yard into Israel. Israel responds by directing a missile instead of a 500 lb bomb onto the target thus killing the Hamas firing team and hopfully limiting civillian casualties that maybe in the school.

War and armed conflict around the world, including murder, auto accidents, plane crashes are doing what they can to keep the human population in check.

Kallend, I would sugjest the Garmin 696. It can help her navigate the highways, as well as provide her with realtime weather. Also when she is not using it, you can take it for your cross country flights in the Mooney (Which secretly is the real reason for the gift). I've given my wife several hints for this item as a Christmas gift. Its may cost just over 3K but its a nice toy. Other than the Garmin, I would think a Dumb Dumb should sufice, the trusty TomTom, simple to use and only about $150.00.

This is a great Christmas, oops its New York, I will re-phase, it is the perfect holiday gift for New Yorker's. The oppertunity to show their patriotism by reaching even deeper into their pockets to support their states ever growing budget. New Yorkers should be demanding more from their elected governent, with out stretched hands they should now require a fat tax, driving privilege tax, an additional 5% tax on income for each additional child birth after their first. The 5% tax can be waived if the child is terminated prior to or shortly after taking their first breath. These are just three good examples any Progressive Liberal can support. Its one screwed up state, but you get what you vote for.

I look at them as an opportunity to bolster my ego. I can always feel smugly superior to folks like that. Actually, though, one can find a community here for just about any type. It's harder for some than others, particularly out the in the CL area. Just be glad you're not in Deer Park or Santa Fe Wendy W. I'm glad you did'nt mention League City, I just built a home there
