  1. French wingsuit pilot Jeannoel Itzstein has a cool ninja hood sewn onto the yoke of his container - the ultimate psyche out BASEstore.it
  2. I am referring to bridle shrivel flap, as detailed here: http://www.phoenix-fly.com/articles%20stvari/legpouchPC.pdf Velcro rigs and ws base = bad idea BASEstore.it
  3. Horizontal speed alone is only half the picture
  4. We are getting quite a few emails about the purpose of flap of material that is on the side of the leg pouch.(as shown in the attached photo) The flap is there to prevent the arm wing stitching becoming damaged under canopy once the shrivel flap is removed. (the abrasive Velcro does a good job of eating the stitches) If the flap annoys you or you do not plan to use the leg pouch then the piece of material can be removed carefully with a hot knife. If you have any questions feel free to PM or email. J BASEstore.it
  5. here here! Long live the fags from Texas! The brand war is getting better in fits and starts. The issue now is that the wingsuit discipline just hit puberty BASEstore.it

  7. But now I read it as he will not paricipate in any flocking event whatsoever if it doesn't have a chance to represent something with a clearly defined goal and the possibility to achieve it. No more just for fun flocks. Is that it Jimbo? Yes, my new years resolution - enough flocking and more formations. (but I may enjoy a free sunset load once in a blue moon) BASEstore.it
  8. Thats my point - I'm over flying big way flocks that never build and want to work towards better defined objectives. Kind of like the evolution we saw in RW and FF. First an all out Zoo, now you've got Arsenal. BASEstore.it
  9. If there is a clear objective and an established judging method then I'd love to be there. I'm serious too
  10. land on one foot or pull high and put the shoe inside your suit. (the real problem is what to do with the spare shoe at the exit point ) BASEstore.it
  11. Interesting article, well written and some valid points. If 100 people want to go flock (assuming safely as in 08) then why not
  12. i believe they have photoshop intentions.. BASEstore.it
  13. How many panels(pieces) is a typical RW suit made from? Not many. I have a free fly suit that is about 12 panels. How many panels is a PF wingsuit made from? 100-150+ depending on the suit. Hand cut and sewn together. The majority of the cost is in the labour required. BASEstore.it
  14. Jarno is doing post production on FTL 2, still on going but hopefully finished in time for FnD. BASEstore.it
  15. Like Jarno says - its all about priorities. If you want it as bad as you say then it can be done (safely) in a few years. 12 years ago i made one parachute jump, just the one mind you, to see what it was like BASEstore.it
  16. I heard of one jumper doing this. His rig lifted off his back in flight, changing the position of the PC - it took him a long time to pull and was not repeated. BASEstore.it
  17. Jarno is much more entertaining in the bar than the prince or me could ever be BASEstore.it
  18. How about we let this thread sleep for a couple of weeks (the other thread too). BASEstore.it
  19. Agreed DSE and Jarno - An agreement amongst the manufacturers on the requirements for students and instructors would be a good starting point. BASEstore.it
  20. The XS and WoM suit are not that far away from this.. BASEstore.it
