Perhaps you should hire out as a medium because I'm pretty sure that you can see into the future. For those non-believers in mediums, DangerRoo and I have never met and yet I believe her prophecy would be entirely accurate.

Sage advice. I'm pretty sure that my wife would KILL ME if I did post her pics. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

OK you got me on that one. I should have stated my sentence differently and said, I know that you think your skills are high......... Thanks for keeping me honest. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that. -

Well I have heard of sicker shit. However, before I place my bet I was hoping you could give me some more information. Since you are jumping in North Dakota, could you let me know how long the season runs. Also how many months have you not jumped now regarding currency on your 1.5 wingloading canopy. I know your skills are high but just how high are they. On a scale of 1 - 10 with 1 being a world class canopy pilot and 10 being a swooper with little or no experience where would you place yourself on this spectrum. TIA for your answers. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that. -
Well every one know that they can trust Remi because Remi is a well established person in this sport; however, if I am doing a transaction with someone unknown, I will not send any money unless certain safeguards are in place. I have had really positive experiences buying gear online and I always talk to the seller's DZO for a reference. If the DZO was positive about the person I always felt reassured. If you are buying a rig online, know that fit has very little to do with height and weight. A 6 foot person weighing 190 pounds might have a short torso or a long torso. They may have a 30" waist or a 40" waist. There are many rigs where people of the same height and weight can't share due to fit. On the plus side most manufacturers can retro fit the harness for a new owner. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

I guess the big question would be is she in a vertical or horizontal position where her big braless boobies are touching the floor.
-
Maybe YOU don't want to see her naked and untouched up and without her wig but I'm guessing there are some old men that still might find her big boobies damn sexy even if they are hanging a little lower.

Here is what I think. According to your profile you already have 40 camera jumps and since you didn't follow the recommendations for jumping a camera, I would assume that you aren't going to follow any recommendations regarding your canopy progression. Some people have a really full luck bucket and can get away with LUCK versus skill. I wish you the best but this can be an unforgiving sport and it doesn't become less forgiving when safety recommendations are ignored. Maybe you are the exception and for your sake I hope you are. Like I said I honestly wish you the best. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that. -
It is possible to still do a step through with the canopy in the D-Bag but the harness/container would still need to come through the risers in some form or fashion. If the rig stays on the ground during the packing process it is really hard to do but if a person picks up the rig in order to move it to another area then definitely watch out that the rig stays oriented correctly. Rotating the D-Bag will give a person line twists but it won't cause a step through. Line checks are a great tool and it is one of the best ways to stay safe. Hint: It is also a great time to take the twists out of your brake line. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

Well I don't know if I can help you feel better or not but I truly enjoyed the times that I spent around Lee and his infectious smile. Thinking of his smile ALWAYS brings a smile to my face. Like this---->

Hey Brandy, I can't give any advice on mediums since I personally haven't used them but there are many examples of charlatans and other con artists that graviatate to this business. Just try and stay aware. Do I believe that long lost relatives can come back to the living and communicate with us? Yes I do believe that and I have reasons why I believe it. Good luck. FWIW I always enjoyed jumping with Lee and I loved his attitude toward new jumpers. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

Should people that no longer Jump still post here?

What she said. Time to get a rope. -
Should you have a USPA membership to be able to post here?
JustChuteMeNow replied to turtlespeed's topic in The Bonfire
This site is certainly used for this purpose but the bonfire is for non-skydiving related items. The introduction and greets forum as well as General Skydiving forum are better places to start learning about the sport. That said I think the bonfire is a great tool to meet friends in the sport before going to the DZ. Welcome to the sport. -
Well this is just another example of how I don't interpret Kiwi very well. Smiley faces are your friend.
-
Well I applaud you for at least saying thanks. I certainly have no hard feelings but if you ever change your mind the offer will stand. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

I know what you mean. I have the same problem some times. On a different topic, let me be the first to congratulate you on returning your award.
-
I agree. Now that we are in agreement I would love to buy the first round if we ever meet.

Like I said in the other post, I also have a dry sense of humour and I was laughing really hard when I saw your one line "No" comment. I certainly relize that this was done in fun because you added a smiley. The intent of my original post was only to disagree with what I thought was a comment meant to discourgae postings of a similar nature. Your sad face confused me and if you meant it in jest, I did miss the humour. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

FWIW I love a dry sense of humour and while today I did make a comment on one of your postings that perhaps i didn't understand, I don't recall ever doing it previously. In your words, you say that you are constantly getting accused of being mean and that reminds me of how many of us deal with criticism. Criticism when it comes can be evaluated and either agreed with or disagreed with. If we agree with the criticism perhaps we try and change. From your post I would infer that you disagreed with the criticism and you are not going to change. That is OK and I won't argue with you about whether I think it is a good or bad decision. However, my guess is that many people will continue to misinterpret your postings. As far as the part about you feeling that I am attacking you personnally, that was certainly not my intent and I will offer up a public apology. Please feel free to send me a PM to discuss it further. The intent of this poll was because I think we can do a better job of having a more postive online community. Of couse people will need to want to have that. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.
-
I guess you saw right thru my apolocgy.
-
I agree with you. Controversy is good. Conflict is bad. Controversy means I can explain my view to you and you can explain yours to me. Hopefully together a better understanding will result and we will move forward together. It doesn't mean that we will necessarily agree with each us but that we can use each others input to formulate new and better ideas. Conflict means we can't work together. Conflict is when I refuse to listen to any ideas that conflict with my own. Did I mention that conflict is bad? Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

If someone is being an asshole, usually the whole community knows the same thing. I am not advocating that everyone needs to like everyone else. I am just trying to advocate that we don't intentionally stir the pot in a mean spirited way. There are many people who I don't respect due to their actions and I am guessing that we will never be friends. Converseley there are many people who I do respect due to their actions that I hope one day to meet and say "Hi". Amazon you are certainly one of the posters that I would like to meet and say "Hi" to one day.

Well honesty in an answer can be brutally honest or it can be softened somewhat depending on the situation. For instance if a person asks "Do I look fat" and I say Yeah you are fat and grossly overweight and I can't understand how you don't know that. While honest, it comes across as mean and condescending. I could get the same message across using some tack and not be so brutally honest. That said I am not saying brutal honesty is wrong. FWIW I have a pretty thick skin and I like people who are direct and say exactly what they feel. I just don't tend to like people who seem to get satisfaction out of making others feel bad intentionally. Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.
