This weekend 2:0:0--- Took the little lady to Galena for the weekend- Had really nice time with some friends- However, this past Tuesday I got in four GREAT jumps out of a Twin Otter (Jerrys') including somethingI I thought I would only do once - A Tandem! One of the guys was getting qualified on Strong rigs and needed a passenger- Definitely kinda weird! Blue ones. y'all! Easy Does It

I WANNA BE A TTK -- #71 (that's a 69 with two fingers in the ass--) I DO drive a Ford pickup - it's even a 4x4 and rust never sleeps - Down live in a trailer right now (used to) but I have a garage with a mess of tools in it an a fridge full of beer- AND I pull wrenches for a living and come home with grease under my fingernails - And to add insult to it all I live among a bunch of yuppie scum- And I love pissing 'em off by running through thier neghborhood at five AM on my Harley trying to break the sound barrier - It's great being an American!!! Way cool the both of you have the buzz- I'm about a year and half into it and 87 jumps, my buzz just won't fade- It's beginning to have a positive effect on other aspects of my life- I used to fight it, sort of but now I'm learning to just let it all flow- Once I learned to just enjoy the skydive intstead of "working" at it, it all just comes together- So now I'm learning to apply that to the rest of life- My job, everything- One of the thingd I love best is on the DZ your all skydivers, even though off the DZ you're anything from an unemployed artist to a high-caliber lawyer- everyone has the same cool vibe- Man, I never beleived it would be this groovy to be a skydiver! I honestly hope everyone else's buzz is as good as mine! Easy Does It

I'm no Einstein, but sometimes the wealth of ignorance around us astounds me. First that some one would put a zip tie there in the first place, and secondly that the owner was so ignorant of his equipment that he missed it. Are we skydivers or merely apppliance operators? First thing I purchsed was goggles- around jump 20 I got helemt,(pro-tec) altimeter, and a jumpsuit, mainly because the DZ jumpsuits were always sweaty- (I now have sold the first jumpsuit and have two more- one RW suit and one FF suit)I bougt my Z-1 and my rig at the 28 jump mark- So I guess I really didn't waste any time --- I've saved alot not paying rental- more than enough to pay for the rig! I have actually heard some companies dropped the pre-employment screening due to the fact they were turning otherwise very well qualifed candidates away- How much truth there is to that I don't know--- can anyone support it? Easy Does It

I haven't done any head down with the Z-1, but I can easily see how the open seam would creaate a challenge. Don't most freeflyers wear open face anyways? (Next on my list of stuff to buy is a Bonehead-) Easy Does It

Man! I got it made! My "office", if you will, is about 98,000 sq. ft, partial AC, and I do get to post at work once in a while! Plus I get to play with really cool Tim Allen type toys all the time! Easy Does It

Personally, I can not imagine jumping while stoned- There is NO way you'd even find me at the DZ if I'd just burned one- Maybe some time the next day, but no sooner- Same with drinking - I'm won't even jump with a mild hangover. What happened to the self-policing aspect of the sport? We're engaged in a high-risk activity here, why the hell would some one want to jump with less that 100% percent of thier facilites? I don't know- I fulfilled all my "A" requirements and had the card signed and stamped, and just sat on it until I was ready to send in for my "B" - If I wanted to I could have sent in for an A number, but why, if the signed and stamped proficiency card carries the same weight? Save the 20 bucks and make another jump! I need some ideas for a new signature line- Easy Does It

S/L jump- line twist from the canopy to the risers plus a little - I kicked out and the rest was uneventful- And I got a great tricep workout - (sore for a week afterward!) - I was working that hard to spread the risers! My signature line is beginning to dry rot--- Easy Does It
