I've been jumping a Z-1 for almost a year now- Like yourself, I got it just off student status with winter jumping in mind. Absolutely love it! For RW it's saved my teeth at least twice, I've had two good kicks in the face this summer- I also jumped it all winter last year, no sweat- I have very good visibility, enough to see my emergency handles, and use them. It's easy to open under canopy. One problem I had early on was fogging in the cold weather- I take it off as soon as we get to 1,000', and after I put it back on I leave it open until just before exit. I've even left with it open, and closing it is a snap- literally! As soon as I'm under canopy I open it up again and have clear vision- Z-1 ROCKS! You can put some really awesome paint jobs on them too! If some one has a newer model you can try, I think you'll like it. The older ones had a problem with the collar coming unglued, but mine hasn't even started to come loose, so I guess they've fixed that. I personally don't like the idea of a fixed faceplate, or one that is difficult to open. The Z-1 takes a little practice, but with a little said practice I am able to open mine in a flash, with gloves on. (been doing it for a year now!) Easy Does It

I've used tube stoes on for the last 65-70 jumps or so- One broke- No problems whatsoever- Easy Does It

1(but the weekend ain't over yet):2:0 A couple jumps out of the C-182 Saturday before the wx moved in on us- Took the rest of the day easy- couch potato style- Have Reletive Work today-- ( A neice is celebrating her 16th-) And I've been told how greaat it would be if I fixed a great big pot of chili- Wx is clear, but chilly and quite windy! No beers, but I'm at jump number 93- I hope to be getting pied in the next weekend or two! Easy Does It

*** Real Men Don't use Auto darkening. Keep it gully!!! Tell me that in a few years and your neck is killing you from nodding your hood down a few hundred thousand times- I absolutely swear by my auto lens! Nope- You're doing just fine, emotions like this are normal - (I've been divorced since '97, with generous visitation rights with our 3 great kids-) My best revenge was to get away from the messed up little town, and get my life on track and be happy - It Worked! I talk about how great life is, and the kids won't shut up about how great thier visits are, and she gets angry 'cuz she's still stuck in the same dead end posisition, with he same deadbeat boyfriend, and the biggest event is the county fair- Life is GOOD!!!!! Having just turned 40, my sister thought it would be very funny to break out some pictures from my youth - I am happy to say I am getting better - much better - looking with age. (don't know if I've peaked yet though-) And I get told very often I look damn good for 40 - The men in my family age quite well. One of these days I need to post a pic- Easy Does It

Yeah - you're right - They're not all liberals- If I take a good look at my beleifs, etc- I've got a good mix of liberal and conservative both in me--- We learned from our mistakes because we were allowed to make mistakes - weather they hurt us or not - (and damn near killed us at times!) What didn't kill us made us stronger - Friendship meant everything - we learned how to forgive after kicking the crap out of each other - MAn, what a simpler time!
