Calculate your total freefall time and then mentally convert the number into a binary number. (We used to try to mentally convert our SS numbers to kill time on long shifts while I was in the AF- It'll really tax your brain, and you'll have no problem getting to sleep!) Easy Does It

Took a couple community college courses, got a bunch of training in the Air Force and some has college credits attached to it- But no degree, and I can't say one is in my future, Maybe, someday, but not one of my "gotta have" goals. I personally think degrees are overrated. Don't get me wrong, education is good, but I see so many people out there that think they will die poor if they don't have a sheepskin. So they work thier butt off to get a degree, and wind up stuck in a job in some other field making way less, kind of painted into a corner- (Like a guy I know, big outdoorsman, who got his degree in wildlife biology, and manages a hardware store, and is very unhappy.) But take my Mom- When she was 65, Dad passed on- Mom didn't even have a HS diploma. Now at age 76 she has her Bachelors' in theology with a minor in Psych, (St. Boneventure University-) and does what she loves best- working with patients (counseling) at area hospitals. THAT rocks!! My sinus problems are reletively minor, but enough I that I too pop a Sudafed ( I find the little red ones work best-) and also do the Valsalva manuver (hold your nose and blow-) and it works great. I ususally clear my head under canopy and somteimes again on the ground. One other thing I noticed is it seems to get better the more often I jump- I hear reducing your intake of dairy products is also helpful. If I'm off base on anything, please feel free to chime in! I've met so many people in this sport, from unemployed whatever to doctors and lawyers, TV personalities, you name it. The only thing we all have in common is we all love to jump. I suppose we could psycho-analyze everyone in the sport and figure out what the personality trait or chemical imbalance is, if any, but what would be the fun in that? I'd rather just enjoy the diversity. I guess one thing is, most skydivers enjoy drinking, too. (beer or whatever - Alot of the skychicks at our DZ dig those Smirnoff - Barcadi malt beverage things-) We are definitely in a class all our own - I REALLY like that. I don't being too "mainstream". While in France during my AF days-(Bosnian conflict- Long story-) we went to San Tropez via Marsailles on a day off- On the way back, well after dark, we got lost in Marsailles. Well, since we were driving in circles, and had a dedicated driver, the rest of us (seven total in a Renault minivan) figured the most sensible thing to do was to start drinking heavily, which we were well equipped to do. We emptied six bottles of wine and the better part of a bottle of some weird European whiskey inside of an hour. I haven't had that much fun since high school, when one of favorite hobbies was driving at high rates of speed while killing large quantities of brain cells. Boy I'm glad I outgrew that phase before killing myself. Easy Does It
