    I'm not sure I can fault the rigger for not sending you a copy of his license. Most of them are willing to show them to you, but like a social security card, sure as heck don't want to send you a copy. You might also take into account that he's doing it as a favor and not for pay, so really doesn't want to put a whole lot of hours into it. Its really not that hard to establish bonafides in our circle. Surely, there's some old crusty fuck at your DZ who's been to enough boogies or DZ's around the country to validate. I live in Oklahoma and can reach out to the four corners of the country and ask someone, "Hey, do you know that bastard so and so...?"     Steve, I like both the concept and the strip and think you're right on target with your market demographics. Have you considered starting a website for the comic strip? Kind of a culture following thing that gets so many hits, that its popularity forces the syndicates to come to you? The hyperlink email blast in our little SFA Chapter alone would replicate throughout the rest of the chapters. Food for thought.     All good, comments, suggestions and advice - including your own. If you feel like doing a couple of Static lines so you can focus strictly on canopy control and landings, why not? All jumps count. You may also consider another tandem where the Tandem Instructor can help you tweak your landings... in-flight downwind, base & final, where to keep your eyes, how to feel the flare, etc. Good luck and stay away from those stairs... I swear, there's more skydivers getting injured on stairs these days. sheesh. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

    Assuming bad != broken bones... It's not about the number; it's about seeing a downward cycle of less bad landings as time goes on and with more jumps.     I pcked up this Garmin Nuvi at Best Buy for $179.00 (not during the Xmas season). Lightweight. Great sized screen. Carrying case to take it all over the country with me. No frills like bluetooth - had that in a previous version and wound up never using it due to the other party's complaints of inability to hear me cause it sounded like I was in a tunnel.
