As you build your jump numbers, it's also important to build your internal clock. I would recommend the Alti-3 for awhile - you can get a used one cheap, they are very reliable, it'll force you to continually check your altitude, build your internal clock and reference visual ques of altitude (calibrate your eyeballs), plus give you time to research more expensive options.
