    The type of car in the forum might change the answers. Here's my $.02. Apply 50% of the $800 to savings and the other 50% towards the principle of the vintage corvette. A lot can happen in a year and you would 1) have $4,800 in savings and, 2) could still sell the car a year from now for its current value and/or/if pull the appreciation plus that $4,800 back out.     Let's expand on this... a continuity check is more than just making sure the lines are in the correct sequence from the links to the canopy... it's also about ensuring the lines on the slinks or connectors are in the right sequence also. If they are crossed over, there is a scissoring effect of line against line at the attachment point. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

    I've had the same rigger since 1981. His anal retentive diligence is appreciated by the entire community. You don't get to just hand him money and grab your rig and go. He will sit down with you and go over his checklist line item by line item with you and tell you what he saw, what he did to fix, what's coming up (batteries, etc.). His tool count is even on his invoice. It's like getting your blood test results from the doctor. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
