  1. "Hey you guys, we could play Dodge Ball with these" kind of issue? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. No!! NO!!! Please don't..... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. I'm going to take a different side on this... She should get her CCP, but not to agree with the crowd. Carrying a gun in the open makes her the first target should some fruit loop decide to do something. If it were concealed, she'd just be one of the crowd and could protect herself, the children and others... And, I'm not sure the article isn't right where it states, "In Pennsylvania, gun owners are allowed to carry weapons in the open as Hain does, but need a permit to conceal them in a pocket, purse or car. So without a permit, Hain could still carry a gun at the game but couldn't take it in the car to get there." Most of the more gun-friendly states still have some provision against transporting a weapon without a CCP. In Oklahoma, there are thirteen legal reasons to transport a weapon (to target practice, for repairs, for sale, etc.), but in no case can the weapon be loaded in "transport" if one doesn't have a CCP. Plus, one has to have the ammunition separate from the weapon, the weapon cannot be out in the open, nor can one get to the weapon and/or ammunition in one move. So, for example; you'd have to keep your weapon in the glove box and the ammo in the closed center console to meet the "Transport" requirements. I'm not sure of Pennsylvania's "Transport" statutes, but if it requires the weapon and ammo to be separate in any manner; it seems to me that she would actually increase her ability to protect herself more 100% of the time by having the CCP. 4. Consider Bocci Ball!! It can be fun on those weather hold days at the DZ, too. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. Nature's Miracle - it can be found at one of those large pet Mart/Co, etc. Pour into the duct, but also use an atomizer bottle to spray it into the intake duct. Now, here's a little homemade recipe I found on the net, but knowing your proclivity to do massive harm to your testicles would encourage adult supervision with combinations that can make boom. HOMEMADE CAT URINE REMOVER 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide 1/4 cup baking soda 1 teaspoon of liquid soap Gently mix all ingredients in a non-metal container. Do not mix or shake vigorously! 6. SWEET!! I used a new Falcon 300 and while I didn't record the technical data as you did since it was a sunset recreational cross-country. Wing/Loading was .75 Exit: 13,800 - North of downtown Tulsa. ~15 miles back to Skiatook Airport Wind at my back and left the brakes stowed for about half the trip steering with my risers. About a mile short of making the airport. Man, we had fun. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. Based on the wing-loading in your profile.. just go get ya a used Falcon 300... You'll be up there quite awhile with a good/great glide ratio. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Professor, I can assure you that I am well aware of our contribution to the Chinese machine. You really don't want to wind me up about that one unless you want to start a new thread. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. Personally, I am astounded at the dichotomy of positions by so many in the field of science. I mean these people are paid to use some form of scientific methodology to form a conclusion. To me, a non-scientist looking from the outside in; should it not be a form of Boolean Logic - a simple Yes or No, True or False. According to Wired Science, "China's 2030 CO2 Emissions Could Equal the Entire World's Today." http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/02/chinas-2030-co2.html Over 550 coal plants as of today in China alone and growing. That goes into "our" atmosphere, not just theirs. I just know that I would rather err to the side that global warming is true and be wrong, than to err to the side that global warming is false and be wrong. What harm does it cause to try to make our atmosphere cleaner. What harm does it cause to future generations if we do something; rather than nothing? Imagine a world where we spend 50% of what we spend on wars improving the environment. Cleaning the rivers, the oceans, how we handle our billions of tons of waste, etc. Call me an environmentalist if you will. All I know is when I went on "walkabout" in Alaska and having hiked about 60 miles in the middle of nowhere only to stumble across an old rusty beer can... it makes one wonder. Anyway, I ramble. Out. They seem to have high marks from several of the rating venues. I may have to look into it myself... if for no other reason than to make a tax deductible trip to Belize. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  11. The people of the United States vote for the electors who then vote for the President. December 15, 2008 - Meeting of Electors: The electors in each State meet to select the President and Vice President of the United States. The electors record their votes on six "Certificates of Vote," which are paired with the six remaining original "Certificates of Ascertainment." The electors sign, seal and certify the packages of electoral votes and immediately send them to the Federal and State officials listed in these instructions. 15. Which is why I'll wait for the report and, 2) the video stream regarding the natural progression of change... Now, having said that, Bill was instrumental for last winter's educational foray into the subject and he gave me some guidance and my conclusion was; that Global Warming as a result of man-made carbons is a truth. However, just because I'm playing one side of the net and have the sun in my face does not mean I won't jump to the other side of the net with the sun at my back to gain new perspective. One discipline that will sway an open mind the most is the study, papers and discussions among Agronomists. Until Agronomists claim that plants everywhere are experiencing a positive effect of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide and this could mean restoration of rain forests due to the increased growth rates of trees, higher grain yields meaning more food for more people.... which they do not... I would (as a non-scientist) rather err to the side that the Bill's of the world are right than the other side. 16. I'm confused.... that petition signed by 31,000 American scientists was an effort to convince Congress to reject the United Nations backed Kyoto Treaty intended to achieve the stabilization of greenhouse gases. That would mean there are now 31,650 scientists who disagree with the Kyoto Treaty - some of whom have come forward as those who were paid/funded to find the results required for the Kyoto Treaty to exist. And, I believe their issue was primarily the lack of peer review of the "evidence." An interesting presentation... 18. What's interesting are those scientists that were on the payroll to find the results that the world is actually flat - found those results... then once off the payroll, dissented that the world was indeed; not flat. 19. What DiverDriver said... After a nine year break...from 1990 to 1999, the equipment & materials had changed exponentially. 23. Total Agreement. For example, the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team is an FAA recognized organization and their license structure has "Master" as the highest rating one can achieve. There should also be additional clarification as to the Tandem Rating. Is there still a Manufacturer's rating whereby that rating supersedes the organizational rating (USPA TI rating), What if Tandem Master with a manufacturer's rating belongs to another U.S. organization recognized by the FAA? . For example, if the WWIIADT who is currently expanding/reorganizing to a Veteran's Demonstration Team (WWII, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm, Iraq, Afghanistan) and include HALO/Skydiving and should choose to do Tandems, how would the Manufacturers/FAA handle multiple U.S. Organizations (i.e., let's say someone started the United States Skydiving Association or equivalent?)
